M D G a star at work

I have never been in the position to have to use RBI and I am not the most confident person in the world. However, after about 7 weeks of calls and mails to and from a certain Maurizio Del Grosso who has delivered a superlative service from day one, I am truly grateful for being fortunate to have been helped by this amazing person. My heart goes out to him for easing my burden. What a great bloke!

Maurizio provided truly exceptional…

Maurizio provided truly exceptional assistance when I returned my deceased mother to Italy. He simplified the entire procedure, taking care of every aspect, regardless of its size. The other staff members were also very supportive, and the overall service was top-notch.

I dealt with Maurizio

I dealt with Maurizio, who was extremely professional and kept me updated throughout the entire process. I had my husband’s body repatriated, and during such an overwhelming time, coping with his sudden passing, my own grief, and navigating all the necessary paperwork, Maurizio provided constant support and guidance. Despite how difficult everything felt, the process was handled with care and sensitivity. I have nothing but praise for Rowland Brothers.

Please Read! Appalling experience

Subject: Deeply Distressing Experience and Unprofessional Conduct

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and distress following the handling of my late husband and son’s repatriation after their deaths abroad. The service I received was not only disorganized but also completely devoid of empathy, compassion, or basic respect—at a time when such care was most needed.

Despite assurances from the insurance provider that this company was reputable and experienced in handling such sensitive matters, my experience upon returning to the UK was anything but. Staff were unable to confirm the whereabouts of my husband and son during critical stages of the repatriation process. In every interaction, they were consistently referred to as a “collection and delivery,” terminology that was not only inappropriate but deeply upsetting given the circumstances.

I was misinformed multiple times—both directly and indirectly—regarding where my loved ones would be staying overnight. My funeral directors were also told one thing, only for it to be contradicted the following day. Ultimately, my husband and son were left at Heathrow Airport under unknown conditions, without any communication or update provided to me or my funeral directors.

We had been assured that their transfer to the funeral home would happen promptly and that the directors were ready to receive them. However, they did not arrive until the following afternoon—again, with no notice or explanation. Each attempt to seek clarity resulted in inconsistent responses, changes to the narrative, or clear attempts to end the call without resolution. This same dismissive approach was used in communications with my funeral directors, again reducing my husband and son to mere “collection and delivery bookings.”

This entire experience has been not only emotionally devastating but wholly unacceptable. I strongly urge others to avoid this service, and I hope this feedback prompts a serious internal review into how bereaved families are treated during such critical and painful times

Would not recommend this service

We had horrible support from this company and I would caution anyone considering using them. The quote we received to transfer our son's body from Spain back to the UK was nearly £1000 more than others but we thought we would be paying for a quality service. Instead the UK member of staff we worked with could not have been less interested or helpful with our traumatic situation. Despite all the relevant Spanish paperwork being completed at the start of the week the company were unable to transport our son until the Thursday night, reaching Heathrow on Friday and then being kept there over the weekend when he would then be transported to our local funeral directors on the Monday - so in total 5 days.... This was despite at the time we booked this service being promised that he would be on a direct flight back to the UK with minimal disruption. Of course, if we paid an additional large surcharge to cover weekend work (which we did) it was then possible for our son's body to come home on the Saturday. There was such a lack of empathy and proactivity in supporting us. We had to constantly chase for any progress to be made and although the company was fast to bill us and ensure we had paid there was little support after that. Working with this company made an already tragic situation unbearable.

Such a great support and assistance at the most dificuilt time saying our last good-bye to our loved ones!

Izabela dealt with our case from…

Izabela dealt with our case from beginning to end and I can’t thank her enough.
My father in law passed away in Portugal and she sorted everything to do with bringing his body back to the UK and his personal belongings being returned to us.
The communication with her was excellent, she would always reply to emails/phonecalls within minutes and always had the answers to our questions.
Thank you again.

Giving me a helping hand when needed

I just want to say without the help of the people who work here I would have been totally lost they were really brilliant with all the help they gave to my brother and to me with everything that happened I cannot thank them enough

A sad but thankful review

This isn't a review I ever really wanted to write as no-one sets out to use a repatriation service. However, from start to finish Bibi Aubdoollah​​​​ supported myself and my family every step of the way. We cannot thank him and Rowland Brothers enough.

I repatriated my late mother to Italy and the service I received from Maurizio was beyond outstanding. He made the process so easy, simple and ensured that every detail (big or small) was managed. Other team members assisted and the service was of high quality.

At the worst time in my life the whole…

At the worst time in my life the whole process was handled really we a couple of small things with communication but nothing that I would complain about Pedro was polite and helpful at all times with myself and my son. More importantly you got my Stan home before me which was what we wanted and for that I thank you
