Jon has been cleaning our windows and conservatory for many years. He’s reliable and trustworthy and does a good job incl wiping sills and front door. Get him to do our gutters once a year. Great service!

I have been a returning customer of Royal Cleaning for over three years. Based on positive past experiences, I recently booked them again for two consecutive services, an after build clean followed shortly by an end of tenancy clean, both carried out by the same cleaning team.

During the after build clean, several areas were already visibly not cleaned to a professional standard. I chose not to pursue this at the time, assuming the subsequent end of tenancy clean would be more thorough.

Unfortunately, the end of tenancy clean was clearly below the standard I had previously experienced with this company. An independent checkout report later identified numerous cleaning related issues, including dust and residue on floors and surfaces, and areas requiring further cleaning. As a result, the managing agent rejected the cleaning standard and deducted £532 from my deposit.

Although the agent later refused access for a re clean and new tenants moved in, this situation would not have arisen had the property been cleaned to an acceptable professional standard in the first place.

Royal Cleaning subsequently issued a written statement acknowledging that several of the reported issues were cleaning related and would normally have been resolved under their service guarantee. Despite this, the goodwill compensation offered was £10 plus a £10 voucher, which does not reasonably reflect either the service outcome or the financial loss incurred.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience, particularly as a long term customer. The quality of service has noticeably declined compared to previous years, and the current approach places disproportionate risk on tenants when cleaning standards are not met.

One hour and 40 minutes into a job that the cleaners said would take three hours, they said they were finished and removed their equipment. On inspection, it turned out that they had not dusted any flat surface in the bedrooms and living room. There was dust on the radio, tv, stereo, bookshelves, bedside tables, and skirting boards. There were also dust bunnies on the floors and two cobwebs. After doing some more work they asked me to reinspect but each time I did so, I was obliged to point out more dirt that had been missed and after three rounds of this exercise, I sent the cleaners away. Afterwards, the company offered me a re-clean, which I declined. They also offered a full refund, on condition that I remove my TrustPilot review. I had agreed to update the review to reflect the offer they had made, but was not prepared to remove the truthful review altogether.

Booked an end of tenancy clean at our property in Tooting Bec. The ladies did an amazing job - they were very prompt and cleaned the house extremely thoroughly, it was spotless afterwards - thank you so much!

The team was very helpful, arrived on time and came fully equipped, and they seemed pretty experienced. Doby was particularly thorough with the kitchen appliances - the previous owner left everything quite greasy, but she managed to make the place feel much more liveable. Thanks a lot! Communication could have been better though - initial responses were prompt, but slower closer to the appointment date. Overall, a solid job was done - feeling quite relieved as it was challenging to find a satisfying service provider in London.
