Rumsey's Handmade Chocolates Avis 

These chocolates are unmatched globally. They're generously sized, consistently high in quality, and the flavors are delectable.Not only are the chocolates exquisite, but they also come in lovely packaging. The ordering and delivery were straightforward and swift, leaving me thoroughly impressed.

Went into Rumseys Wendover this morning and ordered my usual which is a strawberry milkshake which is £5.95.
When it was bought to me it was in a takeaway plastic cup but I had specified I was eating in! I queried it as with a takeaway you don’t get the shortbread biscuit, the chocolates or the chocolate decoration normally on top of the glass. The girl informed me the dishwasher wasn’t working! That’s fine but why omit to bring the biscuit etc? This I queried and she grudgingly bought out a biscuit but not the choc so asked again for the chocolates. Feel it should automatically have been included as wasn’t my fault dishwasher broken. Otherwise should have been a lower price as a take away. Suppose banking on I didn’t know what was included in a normal milkshake in a glass. Normally have good experiences but really disappointed today :(

This time I ordered the Luxury Chocolate Caramel Easter Egg and was very pleased with it.The taste was delicious.I wish I could buy it all year round !

Beautiful chocolates and very nicely wrapped. The order and delivery process was easy and quick, overall very impressed.

I enjoyed the cake albeit the limited choice of gluten free on offer, but hey I'm used to that. It was very busy and it is noisy. There seems to be a trend for cafes welcoming dogs. In the cramped downstairs area were no less than 5 dogs, 3 at the table next to me, a large one behind me and another large one galumphed down the stairs, over excited and setting off a round of barking. The large one behind me tried to get at my cake and, one of the 3 next to me nudged at my arm. The whole area smelt of dog! Yet one of the women next to me called out to someone entering to shut the door. I did suggest it might be nice to keep it open as it was stifling in there. Absolutely ridiculous allowing all of those dogs into such a small area. Outrageous that we are all subject to the whims of dog owners. Unhygienic and way over the top. And I like dogs! I mentioned this to the waitress when I paid. She replied there was nothing she could do about it. Erm...a no dogs allowed notice would be good. This was unacceptable.

Visited Wendover cafe today for a treat. We found a seat easy as it wasn't very busy at all. When entering we weren't even acknowledged we found a table and sat down. There were no menu's on the table so we viewed the cakes on display. Still no acknowledgement by staff chatting and eating crisps! I then noticed the menu's at the counter so I took these back to the table.
We waited and waited to be served, nothing, so I assumed it was counter service only. I stood at the counter and eventually I called to the girls that were chatting behind the counter to ask to be served. Then, they acknowledged us and told us to sit down and they would come to take our order. Our cakes arrived but no cutlery. So I went back to the counter, to be informed that they were coming with our drinks. We waited looking at our cakes and ice cream unable to eat for a while then our drinks arrived with cutlery. We expected a better experience especially at the prices, bill was over £30 for 2 hot drinks (coffee and tea) and an juice and 3 slices of cake! -1 for service and atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend at all !

Excellent handmade chocolates

So in terms of processing and delivery, there were no issues with my order. That said, for the price of my order I was pretty disappointed with the quality. I ordered a selection of chocolates, some caramel chocolate buttons and some mint hot chocolate as a Christmas treat. Some of the chocolates in the selection tasted a bit pasty as if it were a little old while others just weren't anything special. The mint hot chocolate was also far too intensely mint flavoured and wasn't pleasant at all. On the positives, the caramel buttons were nice and one of the chocolates that I'd selected was very good and had no taste/quality issue. If I'd paid £10 or even £20 I'd just chalk it up to experience, but I didn't expect to be so disappointed spending over £50...

Excellent service and quick delivery, and the best Chocolate gingers we have had. So good in fact that i immediately ordered another box for my brother and his partner to enjoy.

The pick your own chocolate selection box , was a birthday present, I was told they looked and tasted lovely , great service arrived on time . Will definitely order again .

these fabulous tasting chocolates were a gift for my son for his birthday to be enjoyed with his wife and two sons as we live in Australia its great to find hand made chocolates in the UK.

It was easy to order the chocolates you wanted and they all tasted brilliant - a bit different from other chocs with different flavours - I enjoyed them all but the Golden Caramel was yummy and my husband loved the Rum & Raisin - would definitely buy again and would recommend them to everyone.

Easy and clear website. Prompt posting in well presented packaging and best of all a more than delicious product. We have been on the hunt for some special hot chocolate and this will be such a pleasure to give(and keep some for ourselves)!

Bought for a friend as a special retirement/birthday gift. She loved them and just wished she lived close enough to buy them and enjoy the coffee and whole experience.
