We’ve been using SAS since 2019, they’ve been a fantastic addition to our team and we value them greatly. They’ve really held our hand through all things Accounting and Finance and have made it easy for me to focus on growing the business, not worrying about Bookkeeping, Xero, Cashflow Management, Tax Planning, Tax Structuring etc. I know they’re proactive and they’ve got my back, unlike most Accountants!

I’ve been with SAS for a number of years now and they’ve always been easy to rely on. They’re responsive whenever I have a questions as well as being proactive and reach out with advice throughout the year. Communication is clear and straightforward, so I always understand what’s happening and what I need to do.

They keep everything organised, make sure deadlines are covered, and have pointed out opportunities to save money that I would never have known about myself. It feels less like a service and more like having someone in your corner looking after the financial side of things.

We have been dealing with SAS since mid 2022 and they have been absolutely fantastic. Guided us every step of the way when we needed their assistance in setting up our UK based employee, liaising with HMRC and pension companies on our behalf. They do our UK payroll and there has never once been an issue. They make it so easy for us. Particular shout out to Carrie & Lois who are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They go above and beyond every time and we would happily recommended their services to other companies.

As a management accountant of 35+ years I have wanted to step down in stress levels to become a bookkeeper and Xero appears to be the go to software. Upon looking at various tutor providers I happened upon SAS and how lucky was I! I found my tutor, Mark, knowledgeable, personable, approachable, no question too silly or too small. Questions were posed leading to others; scenarios explored taking me further into the usability of the software I had no idea it could do.

I have been using Sterling Accounting Solutions for more than 5 years now and putting it in one sentence I can say that they not only exceeded what I needed and expected from a firm of accountants but have steered us through to a complete digital transformation on how we do our accounting. I don’t normally review service based businesses but I find myself talking about SAS a lot to the business people I meet so I thought it best to leave a public review to help those considering SAS to make a better informed decision when deciding on who their accountants should be.

I initially was introduced to one of the SAS brands SAS micro as an IT contractor in 2019. I was attracted to SAS micro as they are an energetic team who are highly tech focussed, a refreshing change from the traditional accountancy firms I had experienced in the past.

Soon after signing up I decided to set up my own e-commerce business. The SAS micro team were on hand from day 1 to advise on strategy for the startup, introduced us to banking partners as well as setting up our accounts package. They also were able to set up crucial accounting automations that allow us to focus our energy on selling and serving customers, rather than spending hours upon hours manually inputting data and dealing with paper receipts.

It was of great peace of mind to have a reasonable single monthly fee that covered our needs which eliminated large bills at year end.

In year 1 with some help from the increased online shopping demand due to the pandemic we unexpectedly achieved sales of over £2 million which meant we had quickly outgrown SAS micro (and our home office in the corner of the living room) and we transitioned over to SAS.

Fast forward to year 3, now have 3 businesses in our group which SAS manage the accounting needs for and are forecasted to achieve an 8 figure turnover this year.

SAS have put in special resources for us to cover our day to day bookkeeping, VAT and payroll requirements, have regular monthly management account meetings and ongoing strategic support. We have maintained a single point of contact throughout and work directly with a few key members of the team who have always given us a 5* professional service no matter if we need to quickly pull off a report or have any queries about financial matters.

SAS are more than accountants, more of a hub of knowledge, connections and access to a range of service that can help your business flourish and scale but at the same time keeping a close eye on important areas such as tax and your bottom line.

We cannot thank the SAS team enough for their support and we look forward to many more years of working together and we will continue to recommend them without hesitation.

The SAS team have been extremely cooperative, flexible and adaptable to our business needs. We have a complex business consisting of multiple corporate entities with varying requirements for services like VAT, Payroll, Confirmation statements.

Finlay and Filiz have been phenomenal in delivery of their service. Things started a little sluggish and a few deadlines were missed early on but this was resolved by month 6 (after they had cleared the mess our old accountants created).

Most important, they are so willing to be helpful to us as "non-accountants", not patronising or condescending. Everything is pitched at a level we can understand.
