I had really good experience in refinancing with Sebonic Financial. I was informed all the steps involved in the process and provided a website where I was able to upload all the documents. Entire process went smoothly I got good/competitive rates, I liked it. I would recommend to anyone.

I was a little nervous at first deciding to go with a online loan company. They may have a local presence somewhere but not where I live. That nervousness was about the only time I felt that way. Kevin Geraghty my loan originator was beyond awesome. He was easy to communicate with, answered all of my questions and even called me when rates lowered a bit and told me he got me a lower rate, I didn't ask or inquire during one of our calls he just said "hey our rates just lowered I'm going to drop your rate". They offered the lowest rate out of all the companies I shopped. I realtor had even said that she was very impressed with how low the closing costs were. I was able to close in 26 days and they even asked if I wanted to close earlier. 90% of the paperwork was all electronic. Bethany Evans who was the processor was equally amazing. They really made it easy and stress free. I cannot say enough good things about the buying process with these people. If your looking for a company to purchase a loan through I would say you should absolutely give them a chance.

Overall I'm very pleased. My rate was a half point lower than local brokers and the fees were a lot lower, too. My originator, Kent, was really terrific and looked out for me during the whole process. Closing was slightly delayed by a late appraisal, but the lender extended their rate lock for free. Communication slowed down a bit during the middle of the process, but I never felt abandoned. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

At first, I was very skeptical refinancing with an online agent. However, this process has been extremely smooth and quick.

I a baby boomer, so using an on line platform for something I traditionally used a bank for was a bit of a stretch for my wife and me. But we're glad we went this way. It was straightforward, the people were great, and we proceeded through to close with no hiccups. You do have to prepare for LOTS of email though.

This is our second time refinancing, so we had a pretty good idea what we were getting into. Barry did a great job locking in our rate up front and very clearly letting us know what he needed from us. The site that Sebonic/Cardinal used for document uploads also was fantastic. We had all of our documentation turned in and our paperwork signed that same night. Brenna, the processor, also did a nice job early on navigating a couple of special situations we had with our insurance and with our solar panels.

Where issues arose was at the end. On three separate occasions, the closing disclosures listed an incorrect loan amount, and also failed to roll our closing costs into the loan as we had requested. Barry responded to my requests and pushed to get things fixed, but the incorrect loan amount and closing costs kept showing up on the revised disclosures. I finally had to threaten to not sign off on the day before close (which also would have been the last or next to last day before the rate lock expired). Finally, on the morning we were supposed to close, they got everything correct and we were able to sign the docs.

Overall, most of the experience with Sebonic was pretty painless and stress-free. I would still go through them again, but they definitely need to address some internal disconnects that they seem to have.

Michael was a great loan originator and my processor Taylor was amazing as well. The process was streamlined, efficient and fast all the way up to closing when it became a little bit bumpy. I was reassigned to a new closer without any notification and when it came time to close there was a lack of communication from my closer to my escrow and real estate agent. All parties were disconnected, and I had to get management involved with Cardinal to get things were they once were. Once management was notified things were back on track and on time. It would have been a perfect transaction if the breakdown in communication had not occurred.

I closed a refinance last week with Cardinal/Sebonic. My loan originator Arthur Melchionda was straightforward, explained me all the options and convinced me to get the deal. I had no problems uploading all my documents on their online portal. Closed the loan within 20 days. Will work with them again in the future.

I would highly recommend Sebonic financial. I was hesitant to go with an online company, but they had great reviews and the best rates. They were strait forward, fast, and easy to work with. Having recently gone through this process with my bank, I was pleasantly surprised at how much smoother the refinancing process went, plus I saved a lot of money!
