Amazing service. Rented 4x4 and drove from Nairobi to Masai Mara. It was cheaper than flying, and a much better experience I am guessing. I had the best drive of my life during through the national park… seeing so much wildlife on the roads outside park even. Very very friendly people. Can’t recommend enough

There were 8 of us and we could not have been happier with the service provided by Gloria, the vehicle, and our amazing driver and guide Edward. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Gloria was a great help, even organising our train tickets for us from Mombasa. Edward was the greatest guide, a real gentleman who took great care of us and made sure we had the most memorable safari experience and saw so many amazing animals, we were in awe! We would have no hesitation in recommending SelfDrive Kenya and our special thanks to Gloria and Edward for ensuring everything went smoothly and many happy memories were made. Next time we visit Africa we shall be contacting Gloria and hope to have Edward as our guide once again.

We had a great experience with sevice from selfdrivekenya. I loved to explore kenya this way. We rented a 4x4 with rooftoptent, camping supplies and a fridge. The landcruiser, although not being very new, has great value for money. It is really sturdy, powerfull and suitable for the rough roads you can face in the parks. Gloria is very responsive, reliable and helpful. We experienced a minor issue, which could easily be resolved and mechanics got to us very rapidly. Would rent again!

SelfDriveKenya made our african roadtrip dream come true: easy and flexible we just stepped by the office in Nairobi where Gloria replied to all our questions willingly. The final plan was set and the next day we received the fully equiped 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser (Including rooftoptent and all necessities for camping) directly at our hotel. After Fred gave us an introduction to the car and some tipps for the road we were good to go and started our adventure direction North Kenya to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Samburu National Park. With the quick and easy to set up rooftop tent, which is surprisingly spacious and comfortable, we could not only discover the national parks by self driving, we could even stay inside the national parks and sleep next to wild animals - a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. No matter if any question on the road or concerning the camping stuff or even our spontaneous extend of the rent, Gloria was 24/7 available and always ready to help - truly an amazing customer service !!! Recommended. Great indestructible Toyota Land Cruiser with 2 rooftents (2 x 2 persons), great accessories (sleeping bags, bbq tools, chairs, minifridge, etc.).

Great communication via email and WhatsApp, really happy with their attitude and responsiveness. They were very flexible and accommodative to our situation which required to change the rental dates literally last minute. Amazing!

We rented a Landcruiser with a rooftop tent for four days.
- The car was a bit old fashioned, which made it even more exciting as an experience. We had no issues during the road.
- The rooftop tent was easy to set up, it's very spacious and well-equipped for all kinds of weather conditions.
- The mattress was very comfortable, and the sleeping bags were clean and good quality.
- The package also included kitchen utensils which served us well during camping.
- The team was punctual for the car pick-up and drop-off.

Overall, we were very happy with the service and would recommend!

We are very happy and pleased with the overall experience. The communication via WhatsApp (chat and calls) was very responsive and helpful. Also very clear communication about the costs and terms and conditions. No hidden fees.

When we had some issues with some punctures (induced by nails on the street) in one of the tyres and some loose wheel nuts we got immediate help and everything was exchanged within no time. The costs for the repair were not put on us.

We rented the Nissan X-Trail and visited Amboseli (self guided Safari), Naivasha and Masai Mara (guided Safari with another car).

The cars are not brand new, but in a good condition. Would definitely recommend to rent here.

We had a V8 Landcruiser with a roof tent. The car was powerful and handled every bit of rough road...the tent was easy to set up and good quality and everything worked as it was supposed to...
We got quick reply and full attention from staff everytime we had a question and reached out. Felt good to have good support. The owner and staff are very nice, friendly, and trusting. Highly recommend them.

I hired a car from self drive Kenya, right from the time i send my first inquiry to Astone, is a grate guy with good service, he was always on time to answer my questions. i hired a to Kenya for a period of 15 days explore Kenya, he guided me on my itinerary and he gave me the best routes to use which was so perfect. i traveled with my wife and we hire a V8 with1 rooftop tent plus all the camping gears. The car was very nice although in the first places we got a problem of flat tyre,but we contacted astone he referred us to a nearby mechanic and this didn't take so long and finally hint the road again. all our 14 days were perfect we didn't experience any other challenge. i can not fail to recommend anyone to use self drive Kenya in case planning to travel on self drive safari
