Sell My Timeshare Now (SMTN) is Unethical
Sell My Timeshare Now (SMTN) is Unethical. Agents claim they are BBB accredited but they are not.
On 1/25/2025, my husband and I paid SMTN $3,000 to list our timeshare for sale. The agent strongly suggested that comparable units were selling between $30,000-$42,000. While he stated there were "no guarantees," he said similar units were actively selling in that range and recommended we list ours at $36,999.
After paying the fee, we received no offers and no proactive communication.
By May 2025, after seeing no movement, I reached out expressing concern. I learned today (2/11/2026) that there had been zero offers on our unit since listing.
Recently, when contacted about renewing the annual dues for our "membership", I told the agent that I was never made aware of any member benefits or fees. I then inquired again about the sale or our unit. I was informed there had been no offers since we signed up in January of 2025.
I was then told that similar units are currently selling for approximately $6,000 -- a significant difference from the $30k-$42k range originally presented to us.
We were then advised that if we want a "quicker sale", we should lower our price to compete at the $6,000 level. Our timeshare cost us over $24k.
At this point, we have paid $3,000 upfront, received no offers in over a year, are being asked to renew a membership, and sell our $24k+ timeshare unit for $6,000.
I encourage anyone considering this company to:
* Read ALL the 1/5 star reviews on all sites.
* Research actual resale values independently before paying upfront fees
* Ask for verifiable proof of recent comparable sales
* Be cautious of high suggested listing prices that may not reflect the current resale market
I regret not doing more research beforehand and hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

SELLMYTIMESHARE.COM is a SCAM
They charge an upfront fee and then to NOTHING to try and help you sell your timeshare other than post the listing on their website. My timeshare has been listed for about 2 years and I have not had one single valid inquiry or a potential buyer. I have reduced the price 3 times and I had to be the one to reach out and initiate all communication no one ever reaches out to you to see how they can help of offer suggestions. Do not pay the fee and sign up with them as they provide no return on your monetary investment and you cannot get your money back. Don't waste your money as you are probably better off just posting it in Facebook Market Place and even get more traction than this company will be able to get for you. Basically, your timeshare is worth nothing so don't pay them to try and sell it for you because it ends up being just more wasted money. Just another avenue of the timeshare scams consistently out there.

We hired SMTN on Nov. 6, 2025 to sell our MARRIOTT KAUAI timeshare and charged the $2,000 flat fee (NOT a commission and not subject to real estate laws!) to our VISA. Cancelled the listing ONE day later, because a friend whom we mentioned it to wanted to buy it from us. Requested a refund on Nov 7, emailing "Customer Care" (but they don't care) several times to ask when we can expect the refund - NEVER got an answer! SIX weeks later Dec 22 had still NOT received it!
I had also emailed the initial representative 3 times (who responded promptly every time, claiming he'd pass my complaint on to his Director, but who apparently did NOTHING), and threatened to contact State Attorney General's Office. He promised again to remind his Director (who should be fired), and told me that this slacker would make sure we get the money by Dec 23. And that's what it took to finally get the refund!!
I DO NOT recommend hiring SMTN, instead using one of the well-regarded, professional and trustworthy DIY platforms to sell the timeshare YOURSELF (it's easier than one might think, as I've done that before with RW!), or to someone you know and trust, like we did this time!

We had an excellent experience working with SellMyTimeShareNow. When we initially reached out regarding pricing and timeframe for the Westin Kierland properties in Scottsdale, AZ—where we have visited, stayed, and greatly enjoyed—their response was quick, clear, and professional.
After attending several timeshare presentations over the years to better understand the programs, brands, and owner benefits, we ultimately decided that going through SellMyTimeShareNow was the right path for us. The team was extremely responsive throughout the entire process, promptly confirmed when the owner accepted our offer, and seamlessly kicked off the paperwork via email and DocuSign.
Communication was consistent and timely. They provided regular updates, answered all of our questions, and followed up to ensure documentation was completed efficiently. We also appreciated their assistance in making sure the deed was titled properly so it could align with our estate plan—this level of attention to detail made a meaningful difference.
If you are looking to get into a timeshare opportunity, the value, experience, and price point made far more sense for us going this route. We are excited to use our timeshare going forward and have already started keeping an eye out for additional opportunities. Basically Facebook Marketplace for Timeshares
This company does NOT help you sell your timeshare. It takes your money in exchange for posting an ad you can never edit in some dusty corner of the internet and promising you that they will "never stop advertising until you sell." Turns out, nondescript web pages DO live forever. SMTN promises to advertise, promote, and market your timeshare until it sells. What they actually guarantee is to "advertise" your listing until it sells. That is two very different promises.
The first assumes assistance, marketing, an actual human to work with. The second, and the actual experience with this group, is white-glove sales service and absolutely no response from the company at all after they get your money. It's basically Facebook Marketplace for timeshares.
We've had an agreement with this company for over 3 years. We haven't received a single offer, nor have we received a single email or offer to help from SMTN. Every request I send to them for help goes ignored, including their "approval" to make updates to my listing. I have never been able to edit my listing, and have not received one response for all of my efforts. This is just more money we've thrown away. You're better off on Facebook.

Not using my timeshare and wanted to sell it
I was not using my timeshare and was struggling to find a remedy. I was skeptical at first, but Sell My Timeshare had a solution that worked well for me and helped relieve my wife and I of a timeshare burden. An overseas timeshare process of listing and selling the property can take some time, but all things considered the longest part of waiting was the legal-eeze of waiting. Sell my Timeshare took care of all the details and was very prompt in their service and communicated all the statuses as the transaction process progressed for the final sale, and a check mailed to me.

Not all timeshare agents are the same.
I was looking for a timeshare at the Renaissance Aruba Wind Creek Resort & Casino and found a unit for weeks 46 & 47. I put in an offer and the staff at Sell My Timeshare Now took the time to review my offer and advised what to expect and would get back to me once they heard back from the Seller. The agent from Sell My Timeshare Now was professional and made the purchase process very easy. Dealing with the resort took some time, but after a few months I am now a timeshare owner at this resort. Thank you for all your help in this transaction.
