TRUSTWORTHY. I was contacted by Dara (lady) via text message which I initially thought was a scam. Once seeing the signoff was Dutton Group I realised it was legitimate. Although the price was around 27% lower than the same model car at a dealer and 20% lower than my Carsales advert I felt it was worth consideration. After holding out for a couple of weeks to get a better result privately my wife and I agreed that accepting the Dutton price was the best option for a quick sale (I did try to negotiate higher but no joy). After all, during Covid how can buyers travel to see the car? Even here in Albury dealing with this Melbourne based dealer was a painless experience. Monday, we accepted their offer and they arranged an inspection. Tuesday 10am. Took the car to a local garage for inspection 10mins from work. Collected the car 12noon. 12.30 received a call from Dara to say the car was fine. 1pm completed the documents using Docusign. 2pm received the notice that the money had been deposited. Could have given 5-stars but still holding a little grudge that I couldn't get a higher price privately. Maybe I'm just being a little precious!
