Sew What Box Avis 244

Very disappointed in fabric and project choice. I returned the box, at my exspense. Have not received a refund or acknowledgment of receipt. Mailed on May 15.

Such a cute idea and love the fabric. Nice to see some for the dads and grandpa and uncles.

Okay fabric, have not sewn with it yet? Mute colors.

I enjoy receiving the boxes each month with a new little project to do.

I have tried to cancel and they claim I am locked into a membership. Oh but they would cancel if I ship it back in not used condition. Well how did I know I wouldn’t like the kit until I tried to sew it? Kinda hard to send back unused after that huh? Oh and you want me to pay to ship it back after you just charged me 39 dollars? Don’t say contact your support with help canceling. I have done that and was basically told to do the above which costs me more money that I don’t feel is fair. Then you charge my account and send me yet another useless kit even after I emailed you to cancel. So I will be reporting this to the FTC and cancelling my card which is sad to have to do when you could have honored the simple request to cancel. I would have respected your business a lot more if that were the case. And please don’t add a response here like your other reviews acting like it is as simple as asking you to cancel by email. It’s not,I have done that.

I have really enjoyed this sewing box so far. I've been using it for the past 4 months and I really feel like my sewing skills are increasing and I'm learning new skills. I also enjoy the video instructions as I'm a very visual learner.

I have enjoyed the projects that I have received in the boxes. But, more importantly, I really enjoy the customer service. I get notified when the box is ready and when I will be charged. And a follow-up to see how I liked the projects. BUT.... as I have experience with other companies, I get the box within days of being charged for it. It has great projects, and I am not waiting MONTHS, yes, I said months to get it. And it has the items that they said I would receive. It's a great company to do business with.

I wish they upped the game on the projects they sent out. They look like beginner projects when you first start sewing; I wish they advanced it sometimes.

All in all I have enjoyed the see what boxes. I enjoy the products and the instruction videos that Taylar makes. She’s upping her game by having manicured nails and being more comfortable during her instruction. The camera lives her! 😉 the fabric choices are pretty nice and I enjoy getting a fresh needle and pins in each box along with a pattern. I would appreciate glass head pins in place of the plastic heads that melt. If I ever have any issues they are quick to respond and resolve any issues I may have. I would recommend joining SewWhat Box monthly club.

They are great people and Taylor is awesome when showing the how-to videos and is there when you need a problem solved. I've loved their products

I have very much enjoyed my very first Sew what box and am super excited to receive my next box. My 10 almost 11 year old granddaughter is excited about learning to sew also because of the Sew what Box. She is not Getting the Sew what box as of yet but she definitely will be if she continues to hold her interest in sewing.

I'm trying to get my Sew-Jo back (sewing mojo) so I decided to order a subscription box. It was easy to sign up, I received my box quickly, and I was on my way to sewing my first project! Everything was included in the box to finish a cute drawstring bag. The fabric was tied with a sample of their handmade tags, and I used them in another project of mine. So fun!!

had a very disappointing experience with this company. My order arrived in poor condition — the box was damaged, the fabric appeared second-hand, and the needles were bent. It was an absolute waste of money. To make matters worse, customer service was unhelpful and did not resolve the issue. I strongly advise others to save their money and shop at a craft store instead. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

My box mystery fabric was five 1/2 yard pieces each in two nondescript low volume very very pale almost white green fabrics. No fabric name or mfg info in the salvage with 1/8th inch cotton bolls, springs of pine spread randomly throughout one of the designs with a slightly different shade in the background.
I was surprised and disappointed in their choice of fabric. Thankfully, I only committed to 6 months.

I like the challenges that these projects bring to me. But the cost of the box doesn't make up for the product made. Out of all the ones I have done. I like the baskets the most and visor accessory is close behind.

Th video was very helpful. The link to the zipper instructions was the incorrect link. It kept leading me to the chain instead. Even though it said it was the zipper link.
I found it difficult to open and close the zipper. So I sewed along the side. Next time I will make sure to do that. The ironing did not help to keep the zipper from snagging. Now it opens and closes just fine.
