I have only given them one start as zero stars wasn't an option. I booked a taxi this afternoon for 6pm in advance as I knew I would be travelling home alone and wanted to be organised. At 6.10pm, according to the app, City were still assigning me a driver. By 6.30pm, after standing alone outside on the street and several phone conversations where I was told they were so busy, I gave up and managed to catch a bus home. After many years of loyalty to City, this was the final straw. Time to move to a different company for sure.

Rubbish service all round,the app is the poorest, customer relations is none existent. Drivers accept jobs and then cancel with no explanation. It’s difficult when Uber is the other alternative and they’re just as poor.

Failed to turn up earlier in the evening so ended up getting privately driven to our venue. At end of evening booked taxi again. At pick up time app told us driver near so went out- had two OAP with us, one disabled - helping them to navigate steps out of our venue - no sight of taxi. Stood waiting a while - notified to say taxi missed us (definitely nowhere near us) - standing and mobilising not easy for our party. If they had come it definitely wasn't to the entrance of the venue where we needed them. Rang to explain to company we had not had taxi and needed them back- they were very rude in tone, said they had called us (can prove they hadn't by call log), charged us £3 for not delivering a service. Then left us with panic about how to get our party home. I hate to imagine any lone female putting their trust in this company to pick them up.

Absolute scammers! The app said that there was an error and no taxis were available so I ordered with Uber instead. I then got a call 15 mins later to say I hadn’t turned up for my taxi and I was still going to be charged. When I told the operator of the error she said I’d have to provide evidence on email to get the money back!

Tried several times to get a taxi on the app and they could not assign me a driver after 30 minute of waiting. Very disappointed, I have used this company for years and feel like there’s no reward for customer loyalty. Ended up walking.

Given one star for them answering the phone! Pre booked earlier in day to pick up at 6.30pm, still no taxi at 7.45pm x lied to each time we rang stating traffic was manic!. Lost table booking which was for a special occasion. Ended up at chippy as restaurant couldn't hold table any longer. strange thing is traffic really quite steady. Would rather you be honest with customers if you can't provide a taxi for time required, please say so at time of booking then at least people have time to make alternative arrangements! Will not use again

Absolutely disgusted with them. We missed my nieces wedding due to thier incompetance. The taxis was pre-booked. Phone calls were made and they could not find a driver. An hour later, 1 taxi instead of 2 turned up. I received a text message at the time they were due saying they were running late!. Worst company ever, especially just lately. Pre booking ahould be prioroties. So, cheers City taxis, we missed my nieces wedding service!!

Worst service ever. We pre-booked a taxi which never showed up. When we called they acknowledged that the booking had been made and tried to find a taxi for us. Another phone call later and a driver had still not been found. A taxi finally showed up one hour late! So much for pre-booking!

Dont even deserve this. All taxi companies in Sheffield should hang their head in shame. Drivers cant even find addresses. City take ypur money without providing a service. Cowboys the lot of them.

At 4pm I called the office to book a taxi to pick me and my wife up at 10:45pm the booking was accepted 10:45pm arrived but no taxi at 11pm my wife called the office and was told they had cancelled our taxi and given no reason for this the woman on the phone was really unhelpful and just kept saying we have no cars in your area this company is a complete joke ( if you have no cars don’t accept the booking ) this ended in me and my wife being stranded 4 mile from home late at night which gave us no choice but to walk home please don’t use this company unless you want disappointing

Dreadful. Booked for 10am on the day, 3 days prior. 10.30am, not turned up. Called and the operator said "no one's allocated to the drive. Our drivers are self-employed and choose when they work". They couldn't say when it would arrive. Then it came up on the app that they had immediately allocated the driver, so they clearly could have done if they could be bothered. What if it was an airport or train station trip?

Rang for wheelchair taxi 3 times giving full address and postcode. Didn’t turn up after each request - went to incorrect address twice then didn’t turn up on 3rd. This caused immense stress for my elderly parents so ended up taking them ourselves on foot. Wouldn’t have given any stars but as rang to apologise gave one. Appalling service.

Booked a taxi in advance via the app, 6 hours before I wanted a taxi. After the taxi had not arrived for the time I booked, I called the operator to be told they were very busy and it would be at least another 15 minutes! What is the point in pre booking a taxi?? Don’t take a booking if you can’t fulfil it. We had a table booked and didn’t make it in time. Shocking way to run a company.

Terrible taxi monopoly in Sheffield, They treat people like rubbish. Tried to order a black cab for 1 adult and 3 small children whom for terrible circumstances have ended up in social care.. Would not send a black 5 seater wanted to send 2 individual taxis. Money grabbing monopoly. No compassion no understanding just profits for the monopoly. Sheffield council should strike this firm off. Disgusting uncaring operators.

A dishonest city taxi (called 01709555000) doubled his fare. He new I was visiting Rotherham so he took advantage and asked me to pay his price at his condition. He did not even turned on his taxi meter!

A very mild mannered driver who did explain his reason for being ten minutes later than sheduled. However, even so, I was not given prior notice of his late arrival. I think my feedback is fair, and, in addition, I WILL also be using this same service again, in the hope that I will be notified of any delay. This time of year is not ideal for standing outside for longer than a few minutes.

I am disabled booked a taxi Thursday morning 6/9/2018 for 1pm we asked for a black cab because we were taking 3 small dogs to the vets they sent a vw after cramming in we got to the vets great But when we came out of the vets it was raining heavy we tried to order another black cab but was told by the lady that there was no black cabs for dogs I told here that we had black cabs on several occasions with no issues 15 minutes later no taxi so I phoned again only to be told out of 2000 drivers no one wanted the job but they would eventually get someone there another 20 minutes and nothing I had to walk 20 minutes for a bus home

The driver and their staffs are awfully rude
the driver was outside but never gave a call to let us know and when we went he starts shouting and using extra body language to talk to my brother and he asked the driver to leave and he said he would book another taxi and complain about his manners and when we called to complain they said we swore and they calling police without letting me talk one word they ended the call on my face !! Never will call them again and can't wait for police to get in contact with me 😂 they should be polite As some passengers might have anxiety and can't handle his hand language !
