Doesn’t last a decade-poor customer service
Purchased the cap, loved the cap. Then the front band started separating. I spent months reaching out to the company who praised their design to last a decade. I never placed it in the washer, hand washed only. Their response? Glue it back on. After messaging their social media platforms since the contact pages had such slow responses, I was informed there is no warranty. I ordered a dupe they complained about and that is now the company I will be supporting. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. They could use some customer service training.
Misleading Shipping Times and Poor Communication
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. The company is not transparent about shipping times and has significant delays in responding to customers.
I ordered two shower caps and paid $17 for two-day shipping. The items were listed as in stock at the time of purchase and are shown as such on my receipt. However, my order was never shipped.
I emailed twice over the past week and never received a response. When I finally heard back, I was told to wait two weeks due to “delays in packing” and that they would follow up. Their FAQ mentions that some items may be on preorder, but that was not the case when I placed my order.
Paying for expedited shipping and then being told to wait weeks with no clear communication is unacceptable. If there are delays, customers should be informed upfront, especially when paying for two-day shipping. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.
A decade of quality
In addition to their responsiveness, it’s a product that has seamlessly integrated its way into an appreciated and regular part of our life. It adds a pop where before showercaps were otherwise innocuous. Mornings are hard, and this little zap of character and purpose gives that little extra nudge that is not always appreciated in the moment, but certainly in the longview. Also, it’s lasted the better part of a decade and is still chugging along, and that ain’t nothing.
Best Shower Cap, Hands Down!
I purchased a Shhhowercap several years ago and it is so well made, I never needed a replacement! The first time I used it, I knew it was different from other shower caps. The material is top notch and it is so well made! My hair is completely dry but also protected; no frizz! I was so impressed, I’ve purchased several more as gifts. I am looking to purchase another one just to have different “looks” because I also use it in steam rooms and sometimes as a swim cap.
Six years and thousands of showers.
I’ve had my Shhhowercap for six years and have used it multiple times per week, every week, since 2019. I love it. It really keeps the humidity out of my hair so I don’t have to re-style it every day even though I showered. I have thick hair that is very sensitive to humidity and this cap is a godsend. I also have bangs, and I usually leave them out of the cap to wash them with zero to minimal impact on the rest of my hair. The cap stays put and keeps water and humidity OUT! I take it with me in every trip. Once I had my mom ship it to me because I forgot it at her house and couldn’t live without it! I rave about this thing to everyone. Definitely recommend if non-hair-wash days are part of your shower routine.
Shhhowercap issues are not resolved.
I ordered a Shhhowercap (my second) on Oct. 25th. It hasn’t shipped. I’ve sent 3 emails to their support team and have never gotten a response. I messaged their social media team on Instagram asking for advice, and they did take down my info but nothing came of it.
Obviously, this is bad business, but what actually makes me mad is that this company claims (on a recent Instagram post) to be the victims of dupes trying to steal their patents and, “clients being weaponized” against them. Their website says that they recently had issues with shipping delays (not their fault though!) but now those issues have been resolved and they “are here for their customers.” I actually wouldn’t mind a shipping delay from a company with integrity that took responsibility and communicated proactively and professionally, but to blame unnamed forces and suggest that bad reviews are just bots is pretty outrageous.

I placed in order back in 2022 and never received it, even after multiple exchanges with CS assuring me it was about to be shipped. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau in 2023 but still got neither a refund or my showercap. What's even more annoying is I still get marketing emails from them that I can't unsubscribe from, horrible service.

The Negative Reviews are True
I'm so sad to be posting this. I purchased a cap over a decade ago and loved it. I was hoping all of these negative reviews were from a competitor/bots (as Shhhowercap claims on their website/social media). I wanted to give them a fair chance. But unfortunately, the reviews are true.
I purchased a cap on 10/25/2025. I received the confirmation email that requested an email back due to my shipping state requirements. I immediately responded. Since then, I have received no communication, nor my cap. I have attempted to contact them at least 6 times via 3 different outlets found on their site. I have not heard back. It has been 12 business days. I have no idea what my order status is.

Hoping to get some resolution for an order of 2 caps I placed in 2023. I was charged for my order when it was placed and received a year’s worth of email updates and promises of getting my order and/or being refunded. The shipping timelines that they promised always passed by with no word. I know the company went through a lot of unexpected troubles, and I have compassion for them. Nevertheless, I’ve emailed, texted and called for over two years with no assistance. In March of 2024, I logged in to take screenshots of my order info to email again, and noticed that my order status had been changed to cancelled, but I never received a refund (a bit shy of $79). The worst part about this ordeal is that I LOVE this product!!! I’m still using my original cap from 10 years ago and it’s starting to come apart after a decade of use. I will update this review (immediately) if I can get my order and/or be refunded. Please 🙏 ship my order. I don’t want any other shower cap, I want the real deal 💕

2026 Update: Following my review left here, and their asinine response, I also got DMs from the CEO, basically telling me that I was defaming them with my review and that I should change it to reflect that I'm happy with my previous caps. I already stated that, so no, I won't revise my statements. Oh, and I never got resolution OR my replacement cap. Do with that info what you will. I will never recommend this company to anyone based on the customer service alone. You can have a tremendous product, but when you don't own your mistakes, you tank your own company's reputation. I've dealt with plenty of companies that have messed up an order, but I've never been blatantly accused of lying, defaming, or being a "competitive attack". I've simply gotten resolution, and I've never had to fight so hard for nothing.
Don't believe them when they tell you they've got it together after their "mishaps" in 2023/2024. They don't. The first cap I ordered back in 2022 I loved. I ordered a second in 2023 which took 4 months to finally be delivered. Come this past April, I decided to give them another shot and got one as a gift for my mother. Surely they have their business back in order right? WRONG. I had to contact customer support just to find out they'd never shipped the thing. My mom finally got it a month later. About 6 days after she received it I received an email saying "WHOOPS we sent the wrong cap! The correct one is on the way!" And now commence the last 6 months of emailing customer support and either getting ghosted or a canned response and no resolution. How hard is it to just....do what you promised and send the right thing? I see I'm not the only one affected by this either. I even went so far as to message the CEO, on Instagram, who was ALL ready to help me until she thought I was going to tell other people. Kept telling me my resolution lives with support. No it doesn't or we wouldn't be here 6 months later! I've reported to BBB and when the government reopens I fully intend to report to the FTC as well, and a chargeback to my credit card. AVOID. The caps are nice......if you get one.

Horrible, horrible customer service! I’ve been trying for almost 2 months to return a product that I did not order, and for which I was charged. They kept telling me they would send a return label and issue a refund, but they never did. Now they aren’t responding at all.
I try to support women-owned companies. After reading other reviews I wouldn’t be surprised this is just a scam. I can not recommend this company. Too bad, because I’ve had 2 of their shower caps and I really liked their product. But if this is the way they treat their customers, I’m out!
UPDATE: The company flagged this review as “defamatory.” Trustpilot determined it was not and put it back up. Then the company contacted me and asked me to give them a good review. Um, no. Everything I said in my review is accurate and true.

I received a child's sized shower cap. I also received an email saying "We goofed - don't worry, the correct one is already on the way!" That was a lie. Nothing ever arrived, I kept going back and forth with customer service and every time I'd get a new person who would tell me the tracking showed it had been delivered. It was the tracking for my original package - the child sized cap. I couldn't get ANYone to bubble it up or help me with next steps - I'd just get ghosted as soon as I'd say that yes, I had checked all around my entire house, with neighbors, etc. and no nothing else had been delivered. I finally filed a chargeback with my credit card company and then and only then did I receive a refund. I just wanted a better showercap that I could put through the wash and not have it smell bad afterward due to taking so long to air dry, and this was not the experience I had hoped for. No shower cap, a whole lot of hassle, and still receiving marketing emails that I'd love to take advantage of but I can't trust for a moment that I'll actually receive the right product this time if I do and I can't imagine my credit card company would let me file a second chargeback if I got jilted again.

I completely understand that you are a small business and that chargebacks absolutely suck on your end. If I felt I had ANY other avenue for resolution after all the attempts I made, I would have taken it. I was ghosted MULTIPLE times and was approaching the deadline in which to file a chargeback, so I did that. My order was not considered to be open, so there was nothing to cancel. It was listed as fulfilled, because technically a package was delivered, and there is no return portal available to me. Every single time I asked your customer service team for help, they told me the package had been delivered because they were only tracking the original package, and then stopped responding, but they weren't actually reading my emails and understanding the actual issue. It felt like I was being handled by AI bots that felt they resolved it and dumped me out of the system, only to start from scratch the next attempt. I put hours of my time into writing and responding to these emails, logging in, finding my order number again, etc, and got nothing for it. I'm sorry to have had to file a chargeback, but you left me with no other option. And I'm feeling frustrated all over again having to respond to this now, 5+ months later.

Less than one STAR if I could
Updated: the shower cap I received well after this review was written was not new and had a horrid smell. It was not in any box or proper packaging. My repeated attempts to contact customer service have gone unanswered. I stick by my rating of ZERO!!!Less than one STAR if I could. My order was placed 8/23/25. Still don’t have it. No phone number to call. I emailed and received an automated response that they could not find my order number even though I sent my confirmation email and my credit card was charged. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Worst Customer Service Ever
I placed my order for two caps in June, 2024. The company immediately charged my card. Two months later I’ve received nothing and heard nothing. Many emails to this company ~ 30 to 40 emails. Finally, I received one cap in April, 2025 with the promise of a refund for the second undelivered cap. Absolutely nothing after that. So here it is 15 months later and I am so angry. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I’m not sure that any humans work here…
I purchased two additional caps because I liked the first cap I had purchased. I ordered them in March 2025 and as of September 2025 am still trying to reach a human (instead of a bot) to either send my product or send a refund.

Great product but long delay until it was shipped
My showercap has now arrived and I used it this morning. I am impressed with the design and utility. However, I ordered the thing in May and it was late August before it arrived. It didn't ship until August. So my 3 star review is that this level of delay is just not on. If you are having supply issues, continuing to take orders is not ok, because most people expect their product to ship pretty soon after purchase.
No product, no refund.
I never received my product nor a refund. After being ghosted by customer service, I attempted to get my money back via PayPal. My case was closed because Shhhowercap indicated that the product was delivered, but it wasn't. I do not understand how this company can still be in business. DO NOT ORDER from his company!
