Siege Studios always provides great services, whether it be the painted or customer service.

I've had multiple commissions done with Siege and never disappoints

The tutor was very knowledgeable and good at sharing information and helping students. There was 10 people on the course which made it feel alot easier to take in the information and the tutor had enough time to discuss issues with individual students.

I had a 2 hour, 1-to-1 painting lesson with George on 16/09/2025 and I could not be happier with the session.

I have been a huge fan of Siege Studios for years, and having the opportunity to talk to the people behind the camera, and have a tailored lesson was a dream come true.

From the details they ask about what you want to focus on, to the follow up, to the professionalism, good attitude, and the adherence to what has been discussed, these people are all consummate professionals.

Thank you!

My wife and I attended the Essentials Master Course at Element Games (20–21 Sep 2025) and had a fantastic time.

Si was an excellent tutor, clear, patient, and supportive throughout. We learned a huge amount: from blending and painting flesh to practical tricks we can start using straight away. The mix of demonstrations, hands-on practice, and one-to-one guidance made it a really valuable weekend. While we didn’t walk away having mastered every technique, the knowledge we gained will get us there with practice and maybe a little blessing from the Chaos Gods!

As relative newcomers to painting Warhammer, we found every section useful. Seeing techniques done live (instead of edited videos or polished photos) really helped us, especially for things like paint consistency on a wet palette, angle of attack etc. Being able to ask “am I doing this right?” and get instant feedback was worth the money alone. Sometimes it’s the small bits of advice that make the biggest difference, the things you just don’t know until someone shows or tells you.

The course had a great atmosphere and was well structured. It was hosted in the gaming area at Element Games, some people might find that distracting, but for us it wasn’t an issue at all, we had no trouble following Si, and actually found having the wider Element Games facilities (bar, shop etc) available a benefit, especially if you forget something...

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to level up their painting!

The model is painted well, the artist did a wonderful job technically. For the wait time and price I was expecting to be wowed. In my spec sheet, I said I was looking for a centerpiece model and told them to have fun with it. Getting box art, is not creative at all. This will be my only model painted by the studio.

Very professional and responsive!

I wanted to have a model commissioned for my partners birthday. They answered all questions I had, communication was quick, friendly and clear. The model arrived and was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much!

This review is for Commission - 1387.

I asked Siege to bring to life a pretty ambitious project which was to sculpt and paint a sketch-up I did of a famous Thousand Sons character Ignis & his robot-pal Credence.

I've worked with Siege in the past - and I was massively impressed with the quality of their work. They smashed it once again! The raw miniature painting and sculpting quality they produce is just so extremely high - rightly earning their place as the top dog in the industry.

They maintained a high standard throughout the process - from the incredibly useful initial conversations with James about posing, and the design, to the weekly updates when the commission was underway. The office team were great and super patient with me throughout the iterative design process supporting me the whole way.

I'd work with them again in a heartbeat :)

Fantastic course, James was incredibly approachable and taught us a lot from specific painting techniques, to generic tips and tricks.

I'd recommend this to anyone starting to work on their painting skills. The general advice about what tools and suggested palettes to use will help anyone quickly level up their skills.

Only two drawbacks were
- It was very 40K focused and while the techniques are applicable to fantasy / historical minis the applications may be less clear.
- I now have a big shopping list of things that I want to pick up to make my painting experience easier. By far the most surprising is a hair drier!

I was really happy how the models came out. The mix paint schemes for my Alpha Legion was done very well.

The best !!! Of the BEST !!!!

The course was fantastic. I have been painting on and off for 20 years but never considered myself more than a “decent” painter. The class was a perfect introduction to techniques that will help me make that next step. James is an incredible teacher and his style of tuition was just what I needed!

The two day course is designed in a great way, giving you step by step help from one activity to the other. By starting at a lower end of techniques but getting harder as the course progresses never makes you feel like you can’t do the next step up. The on hand help for each technique is top notch. No need for guess work they help you every step of the way to even the little things that can make a big difference, which is something you just can’t get when trying to learn a different technique through an online video. I thoroughly enjoyed the EMC1 course and has help me so much with how I look at projects in the future. I would definitely recommend this course to others who are looking to progress their painting skills and I for sure would be booking more courses with Siege Studios in the future

The course is absolutely fantastic! James was very friendly, patient and informative. I learned alot from the 2 day course and absolutely will be booking another one.

Highly recommend!

Been watching the excellent and entertaining podcast whilst getting into thr hobby over the past year. During the podcast they go on about the onyx light and the lighting in my flat is pretty poor and i like to paint late at night. So I thought ok ill give it a go. After all if what's they use and their painting is superb then how can it go wrong. Spoiler alert - it can't. Delivery was fantastic. Ordered on a Sunday and it arrived Tuesday. Packaged safely. A+ service there. Product is brilliant wnd the only negative is I can now see how bad my painting is even. However, now I know i can work on it.

The most important thing is obviously that the models look GORGEOUS AS HECK. I was a little nervous picking the Warrior Workshop level since usually the discount tier of something isn't even worth it -- but this time it was very much worth it. On top of that, the whole team at Siege was a joy to work with. Super responsive (even with the time difference), super friendly, always willing to answer questions and work with me on the specifics. Amazing experience from beginning to end.

I took a 1 on 1 lesson with James and he was not only a fantastic instructor but a great person. He made sure I understood everything he was explaining and ensured that anything I had questions about were answered. Genuinely a great guy to talk with and would definitely book with him again.

So my first ever order was for the painting journal, ordered on a Sunday received by Thursday (I did chose 2nd class delivery) so that's pretty impressive, it was well packaged and secured with strong tape, the journal is excellent quality, nice thick quality pages and a great tool to have for any miniature painter, sure beats a notepad. I look forward to placing future orders with siege studios because I know I'm in good hands.

Very well painted, good communication and packaging.

Words cannot describe how happy and pleased I am with the finished model. I really liked the update pictures through the process as the model comes to life. The communication was top notch. Also a huge thank you to the shipping and packing team. My job number was 1705. Will definitely consider a commission in the future.

An awesome company doing awesome things. Very open and transparent in their dealings.
