Singer Machines Ltd Avis 

Ordering was fine but the delivery was abysmal. The DPD delivery driver rang the bell at out driveway gates and left the box outside. The driver did not talk to us when we answered the phone and did not wait for the gates to open. They simply left the box outside in the pouring rain where anyone could have picked it up and walked off with it. It was in a branded Singer box (not brown cardboard) clearly showing what the contents were.

Excellent products at excellent prices, but the shipping charges a high for small items like needles or a bottle of oil. Why not use the Post office instead of Avri, who are not very reliable and have been known to deliver to the wrong address in this area.

First thing was how good the price was compared to other sites such as Amazon. Second was how easy it was to order....no fuss, especially as I wanted it sent to a different address than the billing address. Third, delivery was offered next day. If you know what you want it's simple to buy direct from the company that makes them....Singer.

Easy to locate items i was looking for

Website seemed to match what I was looking for (Singer walking foot ) that will work with a Singer. Heavy Duty 4432 model. It even specified that this attachment I was for a low shank machine and that it was a screw on attachment . I also found genuine Singer bobbins which I was very happy with. Good descriptions help the consumer feel confident they are ordering the correct items. Website made it easy to order and received a confirmation of my order almost immediately. Very good shopping experience. Thank you.

The company provided a good appraisal of the Sewing machine I purchased with some free goodies. It was easy to place the order and the whole transaction went very smoothly. The price was very competitive and the free delivery was an excellent option.

I bought the Singer Patchwork Plus C5985Q from Singer Machines Ltd (not Singer direct) for £359. I paid in full for a pre-order and received no updates unless I chased by email—very stressful for such a high-value item.

The machine arrived with no protective packaging around delicate parts and no quality check indicators. It was damaged: the auto needle threader didn’t work. No manual was included—just a quick start guide and a link, which should’ve been made clear. As a first-time Singer buyer, I was left guessing how to use it.

I was offered £35 compensation, then told it was a “typo” and only given a 3% discount that didn’t even cover the broken threader. No responsibility was taken, and I was told it wasn’t covered under warranty—unacceptable for an item that arrived damaged.

When I asked about returns, the process was vague, with threats of deductions, shipping fees, and a restocking charge—costing me even more. I was also made to feel incompetent, being told I didn’t know how to use the threader, despite having used similar machines before.

This was my first and last time buying from Singer or Singer Machines Ltd. Poor packaging, no proper support, and no ownership of faults. I would not recommend.

Thank you for your reply. I’m disappointed by the defensive tone and the dismissal of valid concerns. The issue wasn’t that I “didn’t know how to use the threader” but that it arrived damaged and didn’t function at all. Blaming the user for a broken part is not a resolution.

Your reference to my other reviews is irrelevant and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expected a working product and transparent return terms—not accusations or deflection. The facts remain: I received a damaged machine, no manual was clearly advertised, and you refused to take responsibility. I stand by my review.

Surprised at how easy it was to find and order what I wanted as my machine is over fifty years old (and still going strong).

I wanted to pay by visa wouldn't let me made me open pay pall to pay would not use again as ripped off £20 plus for bobbin holder £3 on amazon
