I had my 4th and last trip with this…

I had my 4th and last trip with this company. I rented an apartment in Valencia from the company. The windows are not closing, the most of kitchen does not have electricity the walls are were wet and painted over, now crumbling etc. Of course the company denied everything and no refund.

Gestión nefasta de los problemas que ellos mismos crean.

Las palabras "poco profesionales" se les quedan muy cortas. Hicimos una reserva para uno de sus pisos, la web me dio el número de reserva, se realizó el cobro a los pocos segundos pero no hubo correo de confirmación. Al instante, se les envió un correo poniendo en conocimiento lo sucedido. Responden casi a las 24 horas diciendo que la reserva ha quedado anulada y que además el apartamento ya no está disponible. Se les dice que el problema lo han generado ellos y que lo justo es anular la reserva realizada por otras personas POSTERIOR a la mía explicándoles lo sucedido (hay capturas de la página y del pago efectuado que lo demuestran) y su única respuesta es que nos devuelven el dinero (estaría bueno que no lo hicieran) y que si quiero tienen otros pisos disponibles, pero sin ningún tipo de descuento de cortesía ni nada parecido que compense las molestias ocasionadas. Es decir, su respuesta es le devolvemos su dinero y búsquese otra cosa bien sea nuestra o por otro lado. Además todo esto vía mail ya que las pocas veces que he podido hablar, su respuesta era robótica, le devolvemos su dinero o mire estos otros pisos que tenemos.
Llegarán muy lejos con ese trato a los clientes. Muy buenas palabras y cero soluciones. Servicio nefasto y empresa nada profesional.

Mala experiencia, gestión poco profesional

Reservé una habitación con SingularStays para todo el mes de agosto, pero por motivos laborales ajenos a mi voluntad solo pude ocuparla dos días. Desde el primer momento comuniqué mi situación para buscar una solución amistosa, pero la empresa no mostró ninguna flexibilidad ni voluntad de diálogo.

Además, mi experiencia desde el inicio estuvo llena de incidencias:

- Me citaron para una visita presencial (yo soy de Alicante y me desplacé para la vista) y, al llegar, nadie tenía constancia de mi visita.

- Me ofrecieron una videollamada al dia siguiente para enseñarme el piso y se retrasó casi una hora.

- El día de mi entrada, la llave de acceso no funcionaba y tuve que usar una llave maestra.

- En la residencia hubo cortes de luz en varias ocasiones, dejándome sin wifi y sin poder entrar a la habitación, ya que la llave es electrónica

La empresa justificó que no podían ayudarme porque supuestamente mi habitación llevaba bloqueada “desde hace semanas”, cuando en realidad la reservé el 30 de julio para entrar el 3 de agosto, y el 4 ya les estaba comunicando mi situación para dejarla. Este argumento era falso (tengo correos que lo demuestran) y lo usaron para negar cualquier solución.

A pesar de todo esto, se negaron a ofrecer cualquier tipo de compensación, ni siquiera parcial, por una estancia que prácticamente no llegué a disfrutar. Tras semanas de correos y mensajes sin respuesta, cuando conseguí contactar para recuperar la fianza, tuve que ser insistente y hasta tuve que llamar con otro número para que me atendieran y, solo así, conseguí que me devolvieran la fianza, lo mínimo exigible.

Una experiencia decepcionante por la falta de empatía, transparencia y profesionalidad. No la recomiendo.

Avoid – dishonest and unprofessional management

I made a simple human mistake when booking and notified SingularStays within 2 minutes. Instead of helping, they ignored my calls and messages until Booking.com intervened. Their “solution” was that they would refund me only if the apartment got rebooked — but they deliberately kept the dates blocked, making a refund impossible.

This kind of behaviour is dishonest, unfair, and unprofessional. Nearly €400 kept for a mistake reported instantly, with zero cost to them, shows a total lack of customer care and basic decency.

If you value honesty, transparency, and respect, stay away from this property. There are plenty of places in Valencia that treat guests like human beings — this is not one of them.

Complete Nightmare – Stay FAR Away from SingularStays!

I’ve NEVER been through such a terrible, frustrating experience with a booking in my life. SingularStays is a SCAM – do NOT book with them, no matter how nice their apartments look!

I made a reservation through Booking.com, and right after, I got a shady message with a link requesting a deposit withdrawal. The payment was FIVE MONTHS out from the actual stay, and yet they started generating payment requests immediately. They even tried to pressure me into accepting another payment request, assuring me they’d refund the money—what a joke! I KNOW they’re lying through their teeth.

When I called them to sort this out, they acted completely surprised and claimed they’d been “hacked,” but I’m not buying that for a second. After I questioned them further, they hung up on me. Straight up hung up. Just nasty. It feels like they’re impersonating Booking.com and trying to scam people into paying for something that’s not even due yet.

Luckily, Booking.com stepped in and helped me get my money back, but honestly, without them, I would’ve never seen a cent. SingularStays is completely unethical and, at this point, I’m convinced it’s an illegal operation.

DO NOT fall for their lies or get caught up in their schemes. Book a REAL hotel, stay far away from these crooks, and don’t risk losing your money like I did!

Smell of raw sewage in their apartment - no help or assitance from Singularstays

We rented thier apartment C/ de l'Editor Cabrerizo, 3, Ciutat Vella, 46001 València from October 2nd to October 7th.

The apartment (a studio really bordering on a bedsit) is without a shadow of a doubt the worst accommodation and customer service we have ever received, since we started traveling, over 30 years ago.

When we booked our stay with SingularStays Quevedo they were to meet us at the apartment and check us in, however just as we boarded our flight SingularStays Quevedo sent me a message saying that we had to go to another property and pick up the key from a deposit box. They said they were short staffed. However, when we arrived at the apartment, the minute we walked in the door we were hit the smell of raw sewage, and I thought maybe SingularStays Quevedo didn’t check us in as they knew there was a serious raw sewage problem and didn’t have the courage to meet us face to face.

The smell was sickening, a constant stench, which we conveyed to SingularStays Quevedo via Booking messages.

The smell of raw sewage seems to come from the shower / toilet which opens directly into the sitting / kitchen areas, but you can’t close the toilet door so there is no escaping the smell. If you read other reviews (which we didn’t before booking) you will notice that the door has been broken for months and SingularStays Quevedo have made no effort to fix it.

The smell is so pungent that all our clothes smelled of sewage when we returned home this includes the clothes we never wore, absolutely disgusting.

To cut a long story short, SingularStays Quevedo did nothing to help us, we asked for a new apartment and never replied, they left us in the apartment from Wednesday to Monday, not returning messages and needless to say didn’t turn up to check us out.

My advice to think twice and do some research on both this apartment and any other apartment managed by SingularStays Quevedo before booking.

Buenas tardes! Reserve un apartamento en el centro de la ciudad porque me estoy mudando a España.

La atención de los chicos fue increible. Me ayudaron con todo lo necesario.

El apartamento al estar en el centro esta en un edificio antiguo pero super bien remodelado.

Singularstays never again

One month apartment rent in Valencia. Pictures on internet site were very attractive. Reality is the opposite. Dark bedrooms, very noisy .. each time neighbors goes to toilets, we can ear them. We can ear their TV, very bad (toilets) smell when we open the windows of master bedroom, the duvet is stained ...etc... we called the receptionist who is not eager to do anything. Price is very high... Run away Singularstays

The apartment was chosen by you yourself, so we understand that a client when booking sees photos and reads descriptions, nowhere is it indicated that the rooms are external, it is clearly seen that they are internal and that natural light does not enter.

The price was indicated prior to you confirming the reservation, so we understand that you accepted said price, if it seemed expensive to you, we understand that you would not have confirmed the reservation.

We are very sorry that despite not feeling comfortable, you did not indicate that the choice of the apartment and the price was entirely yours.

Bad experience today

Bad experience today! We rent an apartment for 1 month in Valencia. The pictures. The photos were taken with electric light. Conclusion the room where the office is located is dark, impossible to work there! moreover the duvet is stained and without shutters we are woken up by the powerful light from the toilets of the neighbors opposite. need to find a solution and the receptionist does not want to call his manager because it is not an emergency. After 5 mn of discussion to convince, the communication was cut ! Not a good reaction with the customers . We are waiting from us for a solution who is acceptable for both

Ik zie slechte reviews, die mening delen wij niet. Wij zaten in een fijn, ruim appartement (Balcon de Manet). Het was er keurig netjes en voelde als een thuis. Locatie was ook top.
We hebben ze een keer om 22.45 gebeld met een belangrijke vraag en ze stonden meteen telefonisch voor ons klaar.
Het enige nadeel is dat je de sleutel de eerste dag niet bij het appartement kon krijgen,maar even moest zoeken waar het wel was. Bagage mochten we bij hun wegzetten na de checkout. Voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar.

Why did I receive this message?

Hi I have been contacted by singular stays stating that their cleaning team reported significant damage to a bed. I told them that there was nothing damaged when we vacated the property. We were a party of five woman aged between 54yrs and 60yrs old. I have told singular stays that I am very angry and upset with these accusations. I feel this is a deliberate attempt to keep our deposit. They have told me that a supervisor will contact me tomorrow due to them only having reception staff over weekend and today being a holiday. However I will be wanting full explanation and photographic evidence of this alleged damage. I am very disappointed with this company prior to these accusations. On arrival in Valencia they did not answer phone to be, claimed they had not received my check in documentation. We than had a 16min walk to collect keys, after being sent an address only and no directions. When picking up keys we then had another 5 min walk to appartment, again no directions to same. I requested directions to their office thinking the process may be easier face to face and they did not respond to my request. This was in 30 degree heat on first day of my trip, awful experience and many hours wasted.

Yes It Was a SingularStay...Never Again!

I arranged a three week rental managed by SingularStays in Valencia, Spain. I signed a lease through Flatio then paid the rent in-full plus a security deposit equaling the same amount. Upon arrival to the apartment and waiting for hours for a return message I was told by SingularStays that I had no rental. SS's had rebooked my leased apartment to another party and tried to blame Flatio. SS's offered me another apartment across town by the beach, not near or close to the signed lease apartment in Rusafa...I had no choice but to take it. If I hadn't they would have considered it a cancellation on my end...something you never do! I then had to engage Flatio since my communications to SingularStays went unanswered and were unwilling to act. There was absolutely NO customer support. Flatio arranged for me to relocate to a new location in Old Town however it took another 10 days for assurance that the lease would be terminated by mutual agreement of both parties and I would receive the refund of unused days as well as the total security deposit.

It took another month along with frequent messages to SingularStays from me and Flatio before I received my refunds in-full. I stand behind Flatio and am thankful for their help and customer support.

For SingularStays...my suggestion...stay clear!

Disorganised, Unreliable, Unprofessional

Unfortunately I cannot recommend nor SingularStays, nor the apartment they provided for us. The SingularStays website, the apartment advertisement and the price paid made us believe that we were renting a high-end apartment from a reputable agency. In reality, the apartment provided was shabby and tired, and SingularStays were a disorganised, unprofessional and unreliable agency.

Read on for the full review.

POOR COMMUNICATIONS:
When emailing SingularStays prior to arrival with questions about the apartment, emails went unanswered or it took over 7 days to get a response. Often the information provided was contradictory or the agent in question was ill informed, curt and unhelpful.

Communications were received via automated emails, WhatsApps, agent emails, phone calls and communications via a portal, which also added to the confusion. Why use several different communications streams with clients when 1 is sufficient?

CHECK-IN AND KEYS:
SingularStays informed us that we would: 1. Receive check-in instructions on the day of arrival and; 2. That we would be met at the apartment.

At midday on the day of arrival, no instructions had been received. I contacted SingularStays and spoke to an agent who had no idea that we were arriving and then informed us that we would need to come to SingularStays offices to collect keys (huge inconvenience when travelling with 2 small children, with transfers already booked). After further phone calls and negotiation, SingularStays agreed to send the key to the apartment in a taxi. The bemused driver handed us the keys in the street, and we were left to find our apartment ourselves in a large 6 stairwell apartment block - with 2 small children and all of our luggage.

In addition, only 1 set of keys were provided - which for a family of 4 staying for 2 months was insufficient. An extra set was requested from SingularStays on a number of occasions throughout our stay. These were promised but never provided.

APARTMENT SHABBY AND TIRED:
The apartment ("Alameda II") pictured on the website looked very attractive. With 2 workstations, an armchair and nice furniture. Upon arrival we discovered that: The two workstations and armchair were missing. The wardrobe, kettle, coffee machine and living room lamp were broken. The beds were steel framed, cheap and creaky. The mattresses were worn and required replacing.

Overall, the apartment was shabby - with old worn furniture and fittings. It was also very noisy, with neighbour noise almost 24 hrs a day, and a screeching sounds from the plumbing when a tap was functioned. The master bedroom had no shutters and was therefore very hot during the day and light at night.

The only positives: the communal areas were very well kept, the pool was great and the WiFi was quick and reliable.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
As per contract, Singularstays were due to return the security deposit paid 30 days after the date of departure from the apartment. After 40 days, I contacted Singularstays requesting repayment and received no reply. After weeks of unanswered calls and emails, eventually Singularstays responded and initiated repayment. It took a total of 83 days for the money to be returned. No explanation for the delay was provided. I doubt that the funds would have been returned at all had I not forced the issue.

For all of these reasons, I would strongly suggest avoiding SingularStays. Our experience with them was laborious, stressful and unpleasant throughout.

SCAM they are stealing the deposit ... me and my wife called a dozen times but we didnt recieve our money even after 2 months, I am so sorry that I overlooked the reviews before booking we will try to file a lawsuit for sure

Dishonest business practices

The apartment was just ok. But the behavior of the company and its staff were terrible. They required a 300 euro deposit for our 7-week stay in Fall 2022. They promised to return the funds within 30 days of checkout, but we never received the money back. When we reached out (they use WhatsApp for customer service but often don't respond), it took forever (including calls to the office) to get a response. They agreed the deposit was due to me and asked for wiring instructions, which I provided. Then nothing. No one responds to messages or email and on the rare occasion someone answers the telephone, they say it will be passed on to "administration" (whoever that is). Terrible company to do business with. Six months later I still do not have my deposit back and I'll bet the apartment owner doesn't see that money either! Stay far away from SingularStays!
