My 15-day trek to Everest Base Camp was truly the trip of a lifetime, made even more special by the incredible team who guided, supported, and cared for us every step of the way.
First, a huge thank-you to our lead guide, Rinji Purba Sherpa. Rinji was exceptional in every sense—knowledgeable, smart, calm, and genuinely kind-hearted. His deep understanding of the Himalayas, the mountains, the culture, and every detail of the trail made us feel safe, inspired, and constantly learning. He knew exactly how to pace the trek, how to motivate us, and how to handle every moment with professionalism and warmth. I could not have asked for a better leader; Rinji was truly the heart of this journey.
Our assistant guide, Roshan Rai, was equally amazing—hardworking, dedicated, and always ready to help. Whether it was assisting us on difficult sections, checking on our health, or making sure we were comfortable, Roshan was always there with a smile and a reassuring attitude. His effort and energy made a huge difference.
We were also supported by a wonderful team: Suman, Bishnu Lal, and Rastya. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes, carrying our loads, preparing things ahead of our arrival, and making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Their positivity and strength were truly inspiring.
Thanks to this entire team, the journey to Everest Base Camp was beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable. The route itself was stunning—snow-capped peaks, ancient Sherpa villages, prayer flags, peaceful forests, and breathtaking views at every turn. But what made the trip truly special was how the team made us feel: safe, cared for, comfortable, and treated like family.
This was not just a trek—it was an experience filled with warmth, friendship, and memories that I will carry for the rest of my life.
I strongly recommend Rinji Purba Sherpa, Roshan Rai, and the entire support team of skyhook. If you want a life-changing EBC experience, this is the team to go with.

We just completed our 15-day Everest Base Camp trek (Nov 14–28), and it has truly been a trip of a lifetime. I grew up in Nepal and now live in the U.S., and seeing Everest up close has always been a dream. But this journey became so much more than just reaching Base Camp. The breathtaking landscapes, snowy mountain passes, beautiful Sherpa villages, and rich culture made every single day unforgettable.
A huge thank you to our guide Rinji Purba Sherpa, an incredibly kind human being—professional, knowledgeable, and deeply connected to the mountains. He knew the trails, villages, wildlife, geography, flora, and fauna in remarkable detail. He paid individual attention to each of us and made sure everyone was doing well throughout the trek.
Our second guide, Roshan Rai, kept us on track, ensured we stayed hydrated, gave us timely breaks, and always looked out for our safety—especially around mules and yaks on narrow trails.
A special shoutout to Raste Tamang, Bishnu Lal Tamang, and Suman Tamang, the true backbone of this trip. Their support, strength, and positivity made everything possible.
This journey was not just about the high mountains—it was also about the incredible people of the Khumbu region, who have left a lasting impression on us. We will definitely be booking our next adventure with Skyhook.

The EBC trek was genuinely the experience of a lifetime, from the staggering Himalayan landscapes to the warmth of the Nepali people and their rich culture. I thought I was coming just to reach Everest Base Camp, but I fell in love with countless other peaks, valleys, and places I had never even heard of before. This experience would never have been as magical without our outstanding guiding and supporting team.
Our lead guide, Rinji Furba Sherpa, is a remarkably kind and positive-minded person who knows every mountain, trail, piece of fauna and flora in the Himalayas—truly a walking encyclopedia in the best possible sense. He briefed us in detail before every trek, advised us wisely throughout the journey, and introduced us with pride and passion to the colourful Sherpa culture.
Our assistant guide, Rosan Rai, was making sure we were safe, hydrated, and motivated. He guided us with the agility of a mountain goat and a smile that never faded, even on the toughest ascents.
And our supporting staff—Raste Tamang, Bishnu Tamang, and Suman Tamang—played an enormous role in making this journey what it was. Their professionalism, kindness, and constant optimism made us feel supported, safe, and inspired every single day.
I’m genuinely grateful to them—not just for helping us reach a milestone, but for making the entire adventure meaningful, joyful, and truly unforgettable.

I completed the trip in Oct 2025, The trip over all was amazing, the guides were great, thank you all so much for looking after us and the food from the cooks was amazing, never eaten so much on a hike like this. I loved meeting the rest of the guys on the trip and hopefully we will keep in touch. what a great bunch of people. The Hike up to the Base Camp was nice and steady, giving us plenty of time to talk and get to know each other, the Base camp it self was very busy but the guides sort everything out and keep us feed and watered well. The night before the walk was interesting, sharing a bunk room with about 30 people, we was up at 2:45 so it made it interesting to try and get ready quietly. my only moan about the whole trip was the ladders getting up to the top bunks, not great!. Set of for the summit at 3:15am, great to feel so close to the stars and kept company by the dog. its was great to be at the top in time for the sun rise, even thou it was very busy. then the descent, back to base camp for lunch and sort out kit for the mules, then the long walk back to Imlil, anyone doing this trip with just the 1 night stay at base camp be ready for a 12/14 hours summit day. But still wow, what great views and my first time for me above 4000m. the path from the summit to the Base Camp can be a bit slippery but the guides are great and help all the way. The trip was amazing and would definitely recommend using Skyhook as everything was sorted and the transfer even sorted out an extra taxi for me back to my Hotel. Thank you again to the Guides and skyhook for an amazing trip.

Amazing, fantastic, would thoroughly recommend this trip! I suggested this trip to a few friends over a year ago as it was on my list of things to do, and after a little research settled on this one. After booking the flights I confess to having put no extra thought into it until the last minute, but I didn't need to as our guides took care of us all and ensured we had a blast. The guides are super nice guys who took on a bunch of 6 middle aged misfits from the UK and let us have fun. We loved every moment of this trip, from the initial training, to driving the tuk tuks, feeding the elephants, riding on the bamboo rafts, and more. Our accommodation was superb, with the second one overlooking beautiful rice fields, and all of the food was excellent, including the bugs they sourced for us!
Overall this was an amazing trip, we're sold on the beauty and friendliness of northern Thailand, as well as the Tuk Tuk Club who did an amazing job. If you go with these guys you're sure to have an excellent and fun holiday.

The Sherpas were great. Good communication, apart from the close quarters at Toubkal refuge where I barely had any sleep. Everything was organised and sorted out for me, with nothing to worry about. The food was great and the locals so kind. It would have been nice to have more time to take in the scenery, but I understand there is a timetable.
Just a shame I found myself in a group where I was met with micro aggression from the start, therefore excluding me from the group. Whispering constantly about me, creating huge upset and was highly triggering given I’ve also got adhd. It was most disappointing , that only 2 men called it what it was and recognised and witnessed what was happening to me, when I wasn’t there and when I was there. It was nothing short of bullying. I separated myself from them, also tried to be kind and engaging, but the damage had already been caused. Creating me to react to anything as a result. It was shameful behaviour, given individually I got on well with people. I just kept myself to myself and still I was bitched about. I did not expect this and I have never experienced this. It took group think to a whole new level. Other than that, I had a lovely time, and it’s a good job I had strength of character and the Scot’s men than fully supported me. I was a solo traveller which made it worse.
I also didn’t appreciate the bully telling me what to tip, then telling everyone I tipped nothing when I tipped 400 and an extra 100 for the driver to drop me directly on ur route back, when they didn’t tip to be dropped back. I’m disgusted at how I was treated.
Had it not been for this, I would have given 5 stars.
Ps it would be better to put solo travellers and couples together, not a huge group of boys with a few others.

I was supposed to do the EBC trip in September which I did not get to go on. I have lost approx £2.5k on this trip. Due to civil unrest and the protests that went on I was unable to fly in safely to join the trip. I would like a refund or a reschedule in this or an alternative Instead of loosing out on the trip and all of that money.

Albania, you have my heart! What a wonderful experience of hiking, swimming, canyoning, kayaking, rafting, glamping, thermal spa and wine tasting at a vineyard! Everything was faultless and the effort and attention from Alma, Zamo, Erind and Jimmy made the holiday so special. The warmth and hospitality will be something I will always treasure xx

Amazing 5-Day Trek!
We were a small group of five people with our fantastic guide, Edwin. The food throughout the trek was excellent, and the overall organization was outstanding. Even when the train ride back was canceled due to strikes, the company handled everything smoothly and made sure we got back without any issues. It was truly an unforgettable experience — highly recommended!

What an amazing adventure. I arrived in Kathmandu in the middle of civil unrest. The remainder of my trekking group flights were cancelled, so I was here alone. Freedom Adventures picked me up at the airport and we met for a pre trek discussion. As I was the only one now on the trek they arranged for their photographer to join me for company. What transpired was one of the best adventures I have had. My guide Kevin, and our photographer Ethan, and..... me.
We laughed, and chatted, and trekked our way up to Everest Base Camp. The cloud did not lift the entire way up, so views of the peaks was almost non existent. As the altitude increased, the trek definitely got more challenging. I underestimated just what an impact even 4000-5000m has on the body, but continued and made it to Base Camp.....well almost. Treks do not actually go to Base Camp anymore. They go to a rock pile and look down at Base Camp. A minor disappointment in an otherwise amazing trek.
The clouds cleared the next day and I was presented with the most incredible views for the next 4 days heading down.
Skyhook process was easy. Freedom Adventures, and their team was amazing. Highly recommend both companies, and I will certainly be trekking with them again.

We had an incredible time on our trek! The guides and porters were outstanding — supportive, knowledgeable, and always making sure we were comfortable and safe along the way. The food was excellent throughout, and one of the highlights was the special experience at the refuge, which made the journey even more memorable. Our whole group had such a fantastic time, and we’re already looking forward to the next adventure.
"Yalla yalla!"
Highly recommend!

A proper adventure! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS MOUNTAIN!! Every step and every meter is earned on Mount Toubkal.
The company was 1st class, friendly and very well run. The accommodation in Imlil was lovely and hosted by friendly staff.
The route to Base Camp was impressive, stunning views and challenging sections. Lots of places to stop for refreshments and supplies if required.
Base Camp.... it is what it is - that's all I'll say. It does the job. However you are rewarded with stunning views of our Milky Way Galaxy if you set your phone up properly. Absolutely stunning!!
The route to the Summit was paced correctly and we got to see the sun rise. An experience I'll forever be grateful for.
We as a group had some slight confusion over the way 'tips' are handled between the Mule Staff / Cooks and our Guide. The etiquette had to be explained to us as we only thought we had to tip our guide. I believe some friction was encountered between them. I have been assured that this was an internal political issue between the staff and nothing to do with how much we had given as a tip.
It would have been good to have had a proper introduction to ALL of the team who were joining us on the trek. It would have given us a chance to bond with the Muleteers / Cooks a little more.
The staff were brilliant and it was an excellent experience.
Thank you.

What an experience! Trip of a lifetime and exceeded all expectations. So well organised and so much variety packed into this 6 day trip. Christine was an amazing guide, educator, organiser and made this a trip to remember. Her knowledge and passion for all things South Africa was incredible and her energy was unlimited! She talked, drove, talked and entertained us throughout the week, bringing together a mixed bunch of nationalities and travellers to create something quite unique and an experience none of us will ever forget. She is a truly remarkable host and this is a trip I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit South Africa.

I booked the 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge with Skyhook Adventures for last Friday. Unfortunately, I injured my back a few days before and couldn’t attend. I tried to contact them several times in advance—phoning on multiple occasions and sending an email—just to ask if I could change the date. I never got a response then, and I still haven’t had a reply now. Very disappointing communication and customer service. I’ll be booking with a different agency in the future. £475 was the price too. Did manage to contact the tour guide Simon himself and told him I couldn't attend.
