SmileBar - New Zealand Avis 20

This company is completely profit-driven and puts money before people. They market themselves as “affordable” or “cheap,” but that’s just to draw customers in — the quality and reliability of their service are extremely poor. They present themselves as “open and responsive,” yet my experience was the opposite; communication was terrible.

You’re far better off going to a proper dental practitioner — it might cost more upfront, but at least you’ll receive professional care and results. I’d rate this company -1 stars if I could. To make customers feel valued, a company needs excellent service and products that actually match what’s being promised. Unfortunately, this one fails on both fronts. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Useless company, make you feel incompetent. Wouldn’t recommend whatsoever, poor customer service. My daughter recently had a head injury and didn’t do the aligners as advised, they proceeded to say it was the worst thing they’ve ever seen, also do not acknowledge their rudeness. 1/10 service wouldn’t even recommend.

Very happy with the service received and my results with SmileBar. A fraction of the price of other teeth aligners brands. Customer service was always quick and helpful and solution oriented. Have recommended to friends and family.

I am amending my initial review as was pehaps a little harsh.
I had mild overcrowding/ overlapping of my bottom front teeth and hoped Smilebar would be an affordable alternative to visiting and orthodontist.
Communication was good and the aligners all fit well with minimal filing needed. The result was not as good as I had hoped.
I now have a small gap between my two front top teeth, one of which was a little wonky, though, better after wearing my final retainers nightly since completing the course 5 months ago. Also, my teeth no longer meet if I want to bite something with the front teeth.
I had one extension/ revision kit to correct an overlap that occurred in different teeth while wearing the retainers. I do not have the confidence to spend more money on further attempts.
I would however, and have, recommend Smile Bar to others.

I've had a wonderful experience so far with SmileBar NZ. Communication has been great and the instructions/tutorial video on 'How to mold the expression Kit' is simple and foolproof. I'm so excited and looking forward to having straight bottom teeth.

Really bad customer service, I do not appreciate their communication style. I also didn’t do the aligners properly but the way they addressed it twice, they made me feel incompetent, wouldn’t recommend this company.

I am so very grateful that we bumped into a sales person at Albany mall. I needed some small adjustments done but it wasn't bad enough to go through an orthodontist. Working with Smile Bar was affordable, easy and customer friendly. Great communication all the way through. I completed my treatment and is super happy with the results. Thank you Smile Bar!

I just up to the 13th aligner, and I found the upper set is very difficult to fit on my teeth, when I looked carefully one the upper aligner I found a crack on the big teeth area, I contact them, and they said charged $95 to have a new set. I don't understand why I have to pay for their mistake. At the beginning their service sounded Ok and reliable, that is why I didn't open and check them one by one...... Be careful, some trick in this.

Great customer service and results. I received my impression kit promptly, and then once I decided to go through with it I received my aligner kit really quickly. I am really happy with my results, I feel 100x more confident with my smile. They sent check in emails through the process and made sure everything was going well for me.

The results I have had with the aligners are super good. Love the teeth whitening kit I saw results after my first one. The water flosser is good to.

I am happy with the results of the aligners, already I can see them working and I'm only on to my 5th set. Teeth whitening is amazing and I get lots of comments. Customer service has been awesome... recommend !! So glad I made this investment in myself.

I am just over half way through my aligner plan and am so happy with the results so far. The ease of doing this at home has been great and the customer service I have received has been faultless.

My experience with one of the great products of the smilebar ( the alignment accelerator ) had great affect on my discomfort. I had braces for around three years and often found myself being very achy and found lots of discomfort after getting my braces tighten. Since using the accelerator my pain quickly declined and I found myself being able to eat and sleep easier. Even though I do not have braces anymore I still use the accelerator to help with the discomfort of teeth grinding, A 10/10 product :).

Really satisfied with the purchase of the teeth whitening kit, super handy as it has a built-in timer and can be charged wirelessly. I saw results after the first use, have been using this product for a month now and my teeth are pearly white, not having to worry about coffee stains anymore lol!
Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Thanks to the Smilebar team member I met in the St Lukes mall in Auckland and purchased an impression kit from. Excellent 5 star customer service, very affordable and easy to use impression kit and clear aligners. Plenty of payment options and helpful team who guide you through any questions or concerns. I’m in the middle of completing my treatment and would definitely recommend to my family and friends!

Finally! An affordable product that actually works. In the past I've had trays made by my dentist and had to purchase the whitening solution from the dentist at a cost far more than the whitening kit I purchased from SmileBar. Easy to use and easy to purchase refills when out with their prompt service. I get comments regularly on what I use to keep my teeth so white! Thanks SmileBar!
