Good reactivity when email questions…

Good reactivity when email questions about delivery date. And good problem solving about an import tax that I was obliged to pay to UPS at sofa delivery. Sofaluz has refunded the money just a couple of hours after I sent the invoice.

Great sofa - some small bumps along the way

Positives:
Before purchasing, the support was genuinely excellent. The team was responsive, helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions. They even offered free delivery to an EU country that wasn’t listed on their website, which I really appreciated and thought was a great gesture.

The sofa itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The colour is lovely, it feels full and well-made (slightly firmer than expected), and it looks fantastic in our space. We’re really enjoying it.

Communication & Delivery:
During production and dispatch, communication wasn’t always 100% clear. However, the team was always polite and helpful whenever I reached out.

In the end, the sofa arrived just a few days after the estimated arrival date - somewhat unexpectedly, but not bad.

Costs & Logistics:
One downside was the import fee, which ended up being higher than the estimate we had discussed. That was a bit of a downer. That said, even with the additional customs charges, the sofa still worked out to be a decent deal compared to competitors offering similar styles and quality.

Weight
Some other reviews mentioned that the packages were heavey, but I really did not think so, compared to normal couch. One of the reasons we chose this sofa was with an eye to future moves and in that regard I think the sofa is great.

Final Thoughts:
Despite some bumps along the road and import costs, we’re very happy with the sofa itself and the team at Sofaluz.

Bad customer support experience

I finally received my sofa, but the experience was extremely frustrating. The delivery arrived with a major delay, far beyond the promised window for a €1,000+ order.
The main issue is the customer support. Their WhatsApp service provided nothing but repetitive excuses and "tracking next week" lines that never materialized. It felt like being ghosted by automated responses rather than receiving actual help.
While the product eventually arrived, the lack of transparency and the logistical mess make it hard to recommend this company. If you buy from them, be prepared for zero updates and a long wait.

We manufacture each sofa to order and every shipment is sent with a registered carrier and a verifiable tracking number. Delivery timelines depend on production and international transport, and customers always receive tracking once dispatched. For this reason, a “no delivery and no tracking” scenario cannot be verified without an order reference.

One month of lies and zero delivery

I strongly advise against ordering from this company.

Order placed on January 13th with a stated delivery time of 13 to 16 days for France. Today, more than a month later: no product delivered.

For weeks, I received the exact same copy-paste responses:
“Your order is on the way,”
“Tracking will be provided Monday,”
“Delivery this week,”
“Logistics update soon.”

Nothing ever moved.

Instead of clear explanations, I received:
– contradictory excuses
– repeated requests for my order number
– a WhatsApp support that works one time out of ten
– and even automated emails asking me to leave a review… for a sofa that was never delivered.

I had to open a bank dispute for non-delivery. It is unacceptable to reach that point for an order exceeding €1,000.

The most frustrating part isn’t even the delay. It’s the complete lack of transparency and the endless chain of broken promises. The level of professionalism is extremely poor.

If you care about your money and your peace of mind, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. This feels like a scam.

We take transparency very seriously and would like to clarify the documented facts regarding this order.

The order was placed on January 13th. A production and dispatch timeframe was clearly communicated. As agreed in our written communication, the scheduled dispatch date was February 13th at 17:00.

The sofa was manufactured specifically for your order and handed over to UPS. The tracking number is active and visible in the carrier’s system. The shipment is currently within UPS custody.

Throughout the process:

• All emails were answered
• Direct WhatsApp contact was provided
• Messages outside business hours were responded to
• Production updates were shared
• The agreed dispatch date was respected

It is important to clarify that this is a made-to-order product. Production timelines and possible variations are clearly stated in our Shipping Policy.

After the product had already been produced and dispatched to the carrier, a full refund was demanded. Cancellation after dispatch of a made-to-order item is not possible under standard commercial practice.

We also want to address an important point. We were informed that the review would only be removed if a refund was issued. We believe public reviews should reflect actual service performance, not be used as leverage in refund negotiations.

We remain open to constructive resolution within policy and documented facts. However, the shipment has been processed according to the agreed schedule and is verifiably active in the UPS tracking system.

Compré solo la funda

Compré solo la funda, llego en 12 días, me ha parecido una gran funda. El tejido y tono me gustan. Pagué a parte en la entrega 91€ por aduana, por si os ayuda a decidiros, es un importe a añadir en la compra final, ya que envían desde Turquía. Tuve dudas los primeros días, ya que no conocía la firma ni la web, pero estoy muy satisfecha.

Good Sofa, Stressful Experience

POSITIVES:
➕Sofa: The sofa is really beautiful, it is well made and comfy, the colour is beautiful, it is full and not saggy.
➕Communication: The team is very fast in responding.
NEGATIVES:
➖Communication: The team is not clear with what is really happening with the order. You receive automated messages with errors and mixed messages about when delivery will happen.
➖ Sofa quality: The handle stitching on one of the sofas was already coming undone when I opened the package, some of my metal bars had orange (rust?) inside.
➖ Packaging: So much shrink wrap is used, it is really hard to get the sofas out without damaging them.
➖ Price: I paid the cost of the sofa + shipment cost which was EUR 250 + was hit with a shocking EUR 437.15 customs charges for importing into Europe.
➖ Delivery: Curbside delivery, so expect to take the heavy packages yourself to your house/apartment.
