Solar Service Solutions was one of the many companies that contacted me when I cast my net out for quotes for a solar installation.
My first interactions with the company were okay (though I was a tad surprised that I did not receive any sort of confirmation of my survey up until a day before).

The surveyor seemed a bit shy but overall knowledgeable enough and when I asked the right questions he seemed to give me the information I wanted.
Where everything fell apart with this company however is the the customer communications.
After the survey I expected to receive some quotes.
These never arrived.
I then reached out to the company via email, to which they responded with requests for details about my property so they could do a virtual survey and give me a quote?
When I asked them to just give me a quote based on the in person visit that happened, they just stopped responding to my emails.
Having said that, I did some digging and the quotes this company offers are nothing to write home about so overall... I suggest a different solar installer

Solar services reached out to me after the review (so they clearly know who I am) and insisted that they had sent emails both before and after the survey that had quotes in them.
I didn't expect to add gaslighting to my review but here we are. I checked my spam and I have no emails that were supposedly sent.
Whats more is now they are trying to get my review removed by "requesting additional data to verify Im a genuine customer".
You dont need these details, you already know who I am based on the follow up emails you sent.
In light of this, I'm knocking the rating to one star.

Hello Stacey. Your policies may outline that an email should be sent straight away, however as mentioned, I have not received such an email and only received one a day before the survey (this very easily can be seen in the email trail since I replied to that email when I chased the quote).
As highlighted in my reply to you, I am no longer interested in the quote based on my experience with Solar Service Solutions thus far.
Thank you for verifying that you are aware of who I am, could you please explain why I have an email from trustpilot sent literally a minute before your reply stating that your company has marked my review as fraudulent?
Instead of trying to fight this review I really do suggest you learn from it and progress.
You would have had a star more if not for this debacle.

Great company, really helpful from start to finish,
Turned up on time on the correct day
All their staff are employed and sound like they care
Scaffolding came down straight after the job was finished, all around good experience
Oh and the panels look great

First class service by all the staff. Professional and friendly.

John replaced the pumping unit on our solar thermal and it has made such a difference.
He is a clean and tidy worker and a credit to Solar Service Solutions.
Even with our not so sunny August weather the water is now heating with very little input from our heat pump.

Having been badly let down by another company I approached SSS for help in getting a battery added to my solar array.
From day one they were understanding, helpful, efficient, and kept me fully informed of what was happening.
They gave me dates and times for work to be done, and stuck to them. Their staff could not have been more helpful to me, and the work was quickly and professionally carried out.
Within a month the battery was installed and working. not only that but they also upgraded my electrical distribution board with new equipment, all at a cost below what the 'other mob' had quoted.
I cannot praise SSS and their staff enough for their fast efficient professional work.
As an OAP this is service as it used to be. Well done SSS, I will recommend them to anyone and wish them well in the future. If I need help again I know where I shall go for it.

Solar Service Solutions were able to install our in roof panels within 2 weeks of our order, and with 2 x 6.5 kWh Growatt batteries and an inverter, we are finding that with some sunshine and an Octopus 9 kWh charge between 02.00 and 05.00, the batteries still have around 50% remaining before the next charge. The girls on Customer Service are first class, ensuring that calls are answered quickly, and problems dealt with professionally.
