Solidgps Avis 123

This is the worst gps tracker I have ever come across.
The whole interface is clunky, poorly designed and very hard to follow where it has been.
I am currently sitting at home at 7.40am in the morning looking at the tracker. It tells me the car is moving with the last update at 6.16am travelling 83kms/ hr with excellent signal.
So it has not updated in the last 1 hour and 24 mins.
I put it into so called emergency mode 30 mins ago. It is supposed to update every 2 mins and there have been no updates at all.
Exactly the same problem last night at 11.30pm.
This Gps is practically useless for tracking a moving vehicle or one that you are trying to locate.
I have had repeated problems with this since buying and do not recommend at all.
I have another gps on a different vehicle an AVS freetrack one using Tracksolid Pro app and the difference between Solid gps and this is like night and day.
10 mins after starting this review the solid gps says last update at 6.16am, still no updates despite being in emergency mode and stupidly it says next update at 5.25am.
Really? next update 51 mins before the last one that is not even possible.
Solid GPS is a piece of rubbish
Don't waste your money

Works really well for tracking a caravan. I got 5 months' battery life out of the 3 month product. There are a few quirks with the interface, and Emergency Mode should track its location more than 2 minutes apart, but their support has been excellent and overall I think the product worked as advertised!

Thing is bodgy as. Hardly records anything and unless it's perfect location and perfrct signal it's pointless. Do not buy.

I loved the simplicity of the Solid GPS unit! Especially not having to shop around for SIM options and potentially troubleshooting connectivity issues. With Solid GPS it was as simple as charging the unit, logging in to my account and concealing the unit in my car - too easy!

I bought a Solid GPS device a few years ago for my caravan which is kept in storage. Using the app I am always able to quickly check the location and battery status of the device. It's been so reliable and easy to track via the app I bought a second device for the tow vehicle. Both devices are well hidden within the vehicles but still maintain a strong GPS signal.

The purchase process was really easy and I opted for the longer life battery capacity in both cases so I don't need to worry about recharging for 5-6 months.

I thoroughly recommend these to anyone who is worried about their car or trailer being stolen.

I’ve got two Solid trackers which service my needs

Purchased the 3 month battery model near Xmas time, arrived before eta, charged it up using USB, tested it in my car, worked fine. Have now installed it in my hire vehicle, brilliant - so long as there is a 4G signal, some areas in national parks or distant regions don't have 4G.

I have been using a Solid GPS in my caravan for over 2 years. It really works well. Recently I bought a second one for my car. While my car has factory tracking through an app the experience of a friend made me rethink relying on the car manufacturer’s app. My friend had his car, similar to mine, stolen. The thieves broke into his house, took the cat keys and stole the car keys My friend heard the thieves and saw the car droning off down the road. He immediately went to his car manufacturer’s app to track the car. He was able to do this for a short time until the thieves got into the car’s settings and turned the tracking off. After my friend’s experience I decided to get another Solid GPS tracker for the car because I don’t want to rely on the manufacturer’s app which can be so easily disabled.

Price is good. Battery life is great. So far, loving it.

Any Questions are answered very quickly even on the weekend, and they treat me like a human not a number.

Excellent service from the Solid Team. Would highly recommend.

Solid GPS is a compact, easy to use and install product with a long rechargeable battery. Tracks your car effectively and amazing accuracy. A small price to pay to protect your vehicle. Have installed in all our personal vehicles and recommend everyone does it. First thing the VicPol asked when we lost one of our cars to theft. Cheers

An essential product for car owners. SolidGps is easy to deal with and has a fine product for our times of high auto theft crime. I found it easy to set up with the website and link to my cell phone. The annual fee for monitoring seems OK for the peace of mind it provides.

Package arrived promptly, easy to set up, good customer support. They even followed up with an email to see if everything was OK.
