Immaturity at Soul Origin, Helensvale

We finished work and decided to visit Westfield Mall, Helensvale, for a quick bite and coffee. 🥙☕️
Since we had been to Soul Origin, Helensvale on other occasions (with the previous owners), we decided to try it again under new management.
A young girl served my husband, who then ordered himself a Steak roll, my Hot chocolate and his Capacchino, with Almond milk; and then requested it to be 1/2 strength, with 2 sugars. I secured us a table while he waited.
He duly arrived with '3 coffee cups' and his sandwich. The first was mine, the other cup had 'Almond milk' written on the lid, and the last cup had '1/2 strength' written on the lid. 🤔 When he tasted them both, none had sugar. We laughed it off and he chose to drink the Almond milk one.
But it was when he tried to enjoy his roll that he realised the "steak" slices would bounce back if he threw them on the ground 🤹‍♂️🙄 He persevered and tried to get through more of it as he was hungry, but they were too grisly, sinewy and rubbery to be edible.
As the coffee's and rolls (bought one for our sons lunch the next day also) came to $44, he decided to show them the evidence - as well as the extra ☕️ she mistakenly made.
At first the girl quietly listened as hubby calmly explained the scenario and showed how rubbery the piece of steak was. It was when another young girl joined in that it quickly escalated. She suggested a refund, at which the first girl made a motion of touching keys on the till. But as hubby went on to mention the 2 coffees that were accidentally given also, it was like a switch flipped in the second girl and her attitude drastically changed. She became belligerent and arrogant, flicking hubby off.
I was so proud of him, as he restrained himself, came back to the table and sat down. He had a few more sips of his coffee, I continued to calm him down and we left....never to return.
What a shame they have server's who have no resolution skills - over something so simple.
Instead the company is allowing arrogant, rude, apathetic, immature little girls to be at the front of house.
Their standards have definitely dropped. We will spend our hard earned money elsewhere from now on.

NO CHICKEN PASTA

bought a small crumbed chicken and pesto chicken from soul oriigin ocean keys shopping centre, the service was abrupt, rushed, the portion was not as generous as it used to be and there’s only 2 pcs of chicken strip…ur practically filling up on sauce covered pasta…almost no chicken, i was watching the asian woman avoid the chicken while plating a lot of pasta..so nope…never going to any soul origin anywhere ever again…a whole hype of pasta is all they sell..very disappointing!!!

Shame on Hyperdome store

while. eating at hyperdome the staff started cleaning. they forcefuly moved us while eating. ibecause rhey wanted to hurry home. the son of the owner was very rude and threatened us with security if dont move. then when i had my say he wanted us to move again to another store's area. he was literally bulying us while we were eating ignoring the message leave us alone. he acused me of spitting on the table while talking and insisted that we leave for hygiene reasons yet the place eas filthy and no table clean to eat or move to.the place is a discrace and service discustingly unfriendly inconsidered.Avoid it its frustrating and stressful. and not value for money eirher. its amost like customers are not welcome. obay or dont eat. never experienced such rudness towsrds elderly st any place.shame on them

Basic

The coffees and sweet goods are probably the highlights for me, but it may depend on the individual. However, not much can be said about the meals offered.

Fabulous concept but falls down by the…

Fabulous concept but falls down by the servers. Maybe training/recruiting is an issue. Some servers are downright bossy, perhaps a cultural thing? The dishes on display are full of the the things you might like but the delivery is so often 90% bland tomato or cucumber & sometimes nothing of what you thought you were going to get. I would be a frequent flyer but for too many disappointing outcomes.

Can’t redeem free coffee… can’t scan…

Can’t redeem free coffee… can’t scan the barcode in Highpoint Maribyrnong VIC, because no internet connection, which is not my fault. Since I’m a regular, the Barista can just easily give me a free coffee that day. Anyway, Free coffee barcode voucher only last few days… i deleted the apps & never ever comeback. Always Buy from bigger & more reputable barista.
