Speyside whisky Auctions Limited, situated in Aberlour, was founded by two close friends with a passion for whisky. Both Directors are extremely fortunate to live in the biggest whisky producing region in Scotland, Speyside, with some of the most renowned and much loved distilleries in the world on their doorsteps.
Their own interest in collecting whisky and personal encounters from the use of other online whisky Auction sites gave them the inspiration to set up an online whisky Auction site of their own. Their primary focus was to create a credible easy to use online platform for investors and collectors. From the curious novice to those investors with extensive high worth portfolios, the platform has been designed to make the whole process seamless.

Very pleased with my experience
This company offers an excellent service and, as a seller, one receives constant email updates as auctions progress. No commission for sellers makes their service especially attractive. Payment was timely. The advice provided on setting a reserve was very helpful and accurate. I expect I will use Speyside Whisky Auctions again.

I inherited a whisky from my brother…
I inherited a whisky from my brother and had no idea what it was worth. The staff at Speyside Whisky Auctions were extremely helpful, gave me an estimate of value and I was pleased when it sold for a really good price. I received payment promptly. I would highly recommend this auction.

Good delivery and packaging but rip off insurance charge.…
The packing and speed of delivery were excellent but the thing that I take issue is the price of insurance.
The insurance is 3% like the other whisky auctions but unlike the other auctions I use, Speyside Auctions have a minimum charge of £21. I got a bottle that was £170 so in theory that should have been £5.10 even with VAT that would have been just over £6, asking for £21 insurance is daylight robbery and very poor in my view. My other gripe is that they do answer their emails, so good packing and delivery but far too high with insurance charges and no monitoring of email messages.

As we explained in our email our optional shipping insurance is 3% of the order value and we have the minimum charge of £21 for orders under £700 due to the shipping insurance surcharge passed onto us.
We also aim to reply to all emails within 1 working day. This was the case with our reply to your initial email as well, we then tried to make further contact with you and informed us that you had not been receiving emails due to a full mailbox.
