No Miracle Service
I think I had read all of Aliss’ books at the time, and I was so impressed that I went to a two or three day Miracle Service in Asheville, NC several years ago. At the beginning of the service Aliss was absent from the auditorium. She was up-held like a God, not coming out to talk to the group until her appointed time. I recall that we were told that she was delayed, so she that can spend as much time with the Holy Spirit as possible. Her entrance then created a greater expectation of miracles, with the audience thinking that this woman has a special relationship with God.
I met many wonderful people at the service and I wish I could say that I saw healings and miracles, but no, I saw no healings or miracles for me or anyone else. A lady who sat next to me had an eye problem and was so very disappointed that she didn’t received any improvement of her eye condition. There were a few people who testified about the healing that they got, and I don’t know where they were sitting in the auditorium. I just know that they were not on my side. I couldn’t help but wonder who these people were and how come they received healing -were they planted; did they just come in for that reason? My brother also attended one of her Miracles services in the NW USA around the same time period, I believe in Idaho, and he didn’t receive any healing either.
On the last day of the service, a group picture of us was taken with us holding up some kind of sign, which struck me as odd. This picture-taking was all for her glory. To promote her ministry,
Overall, my impression of Aliss during this Miracle Service was that she couldn’t care less. if anyone got their healing or not. It seemed that from her perspective that she felt that she did her job and if you didn’t get healing that was on you.
After that service, I completely lost interest in her “ministry.” In my opinion, she has very little to offer; she didn’t seem to operate in any special gifts that she claimed her books. Why did her so-called big miracles happen at other places with other people, but overall, did not happened in this service to majority of the people present? To me, these services are a way to collect money for her ministry business. If she renamed the service to take out the word miracles, then it would be more honest, but of course, not many people would attend.
This is my personal experience with her ministry. I realized that I am better off seeking God for myself, than wasting my time, with self-proclaimed miracle-workers, like Aliss Cresswell.
This review asked for the date of the experience, but I can’t recall the date, which was several years ago, so I put the date of this review.
