My experience with Splend was not pleasant.
Long waiting times and unhelpful service created an unfriendly atmosphere. Staff often came across as bossy and treated Uber drivers without respect.
Despite being quoted one price over the phone, I was charged additional fees in practice.
It is crucial for Splend to improve its customer service and ensure staff treat customers with professionalism and respect.
After this experience, I have no desire to deal with Splend again.

Unconscionable Conduct
#I hate Splend. Unconscionable Conduct. Avoid using Splend cars. A lot of their polices in dealing with clients appear to be in contradiction to, and outside of the legislation. They consider payments made after 00:00AM as late. You will incur a $36 late fee even though it is not technically one business day 24 hours late.
By 8:30AM they will activate a buzzer in your car which makes it inoperable as a rideshare vehicle, subsequently hindering your ability to earn, rendering the asset unfit for it’s intended purposes, use and enjoyment.
Splend is dismissive of complaints and condescending towards their customers.
Splend seem to think that if their legal counsel draws up their contracts, it’s legal and binding.
What’s also evident is that they have no idea on how to correctly operate their asset tracking software. They claim they deactivated the buzzing at 1:53 PM, but in actual fact was still active in the vehicle at 3PM.
Reports have been filed with the correct Government bodies and Australian Consumer advocates and Australian Consumer Law academics, to influence change and call parasitic companies to account.
If you’re reading this and have suffered at the hands of unscrupulous companies like this, stand up and fight. Get representation, go to the airports and other places where rideshare drivers congregate and band together. Start online forums to share your stories. Petition your local, state and federal members to act on your behalf!
If you do join use Splend, I would advise you to join the Transport workers Union and other advocacy groups. Keep detailed records of your transactions and dealings with them.

Came in for a damaged vehicle replacement and spoke to Ilias and couldn’t be happier with the ease of transaction to get me in to a replacement vehicle with in 1 hour of my arrival. Highly recommend coming in to speak to ilias to get you back in the road ASAP.

I unfortunately had a minor accident with my Splend rental vehicle. Ilias at Splend Haberfield looked after me well and professionally. He (and Splend) arranged a replacement vehicle on the same day while my vehicle is to be repaired!

Dishonest and dodgy company. They are professional liars and will push you into paying the signup fee saying the vehicle will be delivered asap. Paid the signup fee almost 2 months ago. No sign of car and no response from them as well. Please save yourself from the trouble and don't use splend
