Just awful customer service

Just awful customer service. My produce arrived bruised, moldy, soft and just inedible. I did not receive some items. I also received damaged items in the past. They nickel and dime you, and they truly don't even care.

Good but could be better

I had a fine experience but in my opinion there’s a lot of room for improvement
But I do appreciate this service, makes for some good convenience.
But like i said this delivery business should be improved on

horrible website and phone interface, very predatory business practices, tricking users to spend money needlessly. delivering food while people are away and letting food rot. the b in their b-corp status must stand for bullsh*t

I love Spud!

I love Spud! I generally don't do grocery delivery because I like to pick my produce, but Spud has changed my mind. It's so convenient, and I appreciate the big local selection. Also, the one time they missed a few items, they refunded them immediately and I was able to order them free in the next delivery. I much prefer this to Instacart.

Friendly staff, great produce & products

The staff is very friendly, polite and responsive. I find the produce to be large and fresh. There is quite a selection of goods and they have pretty much everything I need. You gain points by ordering regularly and I get $30 off on my next order! My big, friendly dog and I look forward to our outgoing, amiable delivery man, Jordy, every week!

Worst Food Delivery

This is the worst food delivery service I've ever used. A dairy product came in an inedible fashion. It was bad, had liquified and needed to be discarded. This is not the first time something was spoiled or damaged in one of my orders. They refused to provide me a refund on the item. I don't know of another food company that wouldn't provide a refund in this situation? Spud will not refund a damaged or spoiled product delivered, but instead will supposedly issue you a credit on a future order. What if you don't want to order from them again like so many other disgruntled customers? They obviously don't know how to run a business if they are willing to lose a customer over 8.99. It's not about the money for me but the lack of care around customer service. There are so many options available. Some companies just don't seem to get that they are constantly competing for your business. This is clear to me from all the bad reviews on Trustpilot and the huge list on Yelp.

Terrible Worst Food Delivery Company

I have been a client of theirs for 8 years. Their service has declined so much that I m bringing my money to elsewhere. I order a lot regularly. But they Don’t give out refunds anymore only credits,and they missed deliver some items to me and still charged me. Need to go thru credit card dispute. Also received dried corn, yellowish veggies, and food with molds and poor expiry date. Stay away from them. Terrible unethical company. No customer service they don’t reply to emails anymore. I have found other better fresher companies in town. Will never support spud anymore they are a scam didn’t deliver my items and keeping my money.

Spud is increasingly lackluster

Spud is increasingly lackluster. Most of the items I try to buy are sold out and filtering for in-stock items doesn't seem to work..so it's a huge time waster to find meats like bison etc and then most of the choices are sold out. As others have mentioned, I too have received produce that was damaged and past its best before date. I've stopped shopping with them for these reasons, as it's pricey and a time-waster, and I have a busy family life - which is why a lot of people get groceries delivered...duh.

I had deliveries on a number of occasions and the food was clearly past its best before date. When you’re paying this amount of money for food delivery, you expect quality and freshness. I ended up cancelling my account and they subsequently sent me another delivery and now they are attempting to extort that money from you for the delivery. When it was clearly a mistake on their end. There are a number of food delivery companies. I would suggest anybody go elsewhere.

terrible experience all the way through.

SPUD is one of the worst companies I have had the experience of dealing with.
Their products always come damaged, squished, or missing, and the best costumer service can ever do for you is "offer a credit" or "we can't do anything about that".

Not only that but I have the pleasure of knowing a few people who work there who have had their shift changed on them, taught temporary workers on their second day, had their electronics stolen while on shift, and had their warehouse shut down with 0 warning. This company bold facedly lies about what they care about and their mission objective, promising to promote local businesses while the owner of Jones Soda is actually at the helm.

Disgraceful.

Fresh local organic food delivered…

Fresh local organic food delivered right to your door? What's not to like! I am very happy that I discovered this service, and I will definitey be using it again! I highly recommend this, especially for those on a fixed budget or with mobility issues. I spent less on my canned items than I would've in store, and spared my body the work of carrying them home on transit too!

Can't take it any more. Horrible company.

I would love nothing more than to give a five star review here. Unfortunately, for three years, my orders from the Edmonton Spud team have been repeatedly plagued by rotten produce, inadequate substitutions, damaged items, cracked eggs, bloody eggs, expired dairy products, leaking bottles. and the list goes on and on. (Some pictures are attached.) I never expected perfection, but rotten, inedible produce from a company that claims to supply the best from local farms is unacceptable. I am not talking about a one time issue; this happened to our family dozens of times. With each issue, I was required to take pictures and go through customer service to get a credit. Beyond the pale. They don't do refunds. They only offer you a credit on a future order. What SPUD doesn't do is make recompense for leaving you dry without the groceries that you need. The manager Donovan is good with his words, but ultimately insincere. He continually promised to fix the problems, but we just never got there. Reaching out to him became an utterly frustrating exercise in futility. When my latest order arrived with rotten tomatoes and mangoes, crushed bananas, leaking bottles of olive oil, I finally had enough. All of the groceries were returned in the bins in which they arrived, and the company has the gall to continue to try and charge me for this crap. I am so done!

This is a great delivery service

This is a great delivery service. They have a lot of local items that the big stores do not carry. Most of their items are natural or organic. If they make a mistake on your order they are always willing to work with you to get it corrected.

Love this service!

I shared a spud box with my room-mates in Vancouver while at UBC and it was literally the best thing ever. Healthy meals, always fresh. Highly recommend.
