Don’t store your stuff there !

I paid my payment on time every month then this month they changed the payment amount. I went to pay on the same day every month and they said I was 20 days late and charged me $20 late fee! When I called no one answered so I emailed them about this. They emailed me back with no response to my email that I wasn’t late. I got a letter that terms have changed and that $150 will be charged after late 30 days! This place is crooked! Don’t go there! I wasn’t late !

Just paid my storage and it was a 30-40% increase from $160 to $185 but I paid $197 today I expected a price increase but not at this rate and so fast, I tried calling but didn't get a reply I'll try again to see why so high so fast, I don't think this is good for business but I rented elsewhere today six of us are already gone after 5 plus years half a decade I'll be moving out soon.

East Coast THIEVES!

I can't recall the last time (If Ever) that a company such as this told me to my face that, " We don't care about long term customers. Everyone gets a rent increase every six months. Long term or not!"
I found that statement to be OUTRAGEOUS! Especially after they just bought out the original owner and told everyone, " We have no plans on raising rents". What a lie this was. We've had two price Increases in the last two months.
We researched "Storage King" and discovered that thier from the East coast and one of the largest companies of thier kind with Storage facilities all over the world.
They are so large that they care nothing for individual customers and think they can treat people any way they choose. Thier arrogant thieves and will lie straight to your face. DO NOT GO THERE! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

The unit in Garland TX off I-30 is…

The unit in Garland TX off I-30 is unsecure and ran by incompetent individuals. In speaking with Tressa and Danny Stewart, although they promise video security, they are not allowed to access it due to the previous on-site manager leaving with the "black binder" that has the passwords. Unfortunately we discovered this when our unit was broken into. Upon speaking with the Garland police department, they advised us that we were the 7th unit that had been broken into in the last two months. All appear to be inside jobs in the climate controlled area with no camers.

If I could give this place a zero, believe me I would!! Let me start by saying, THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS and run FRADULENT AND UNETHICAL PRACTICES! Dylanna, the property manager is RUDE and he needs to be TERMINATED!! Before Storage King USA took over, I had no problems with My Space. I have had issues with them for 3 months now and was told my lease with them will be terminated on October 6, 2022. Mind you, I went and removed all of my belongings on 10.2.22, but I had to return to put a mattress and box spring back in because I didn't have a place for it until the 6th. On October 3, 2022, I received a message stating I have a past due balance of $113, WOW! Really! How do you charge someone $113 for a month of rent and you were terminated on 6 days in?? Crooks, right? I called and left a message for Dylanna to have someone call me back. His manager called me on 10.4.22. I explained the situation to her. She stated that she was never aware of the termination. I told her that I received a Lease Termination Notice from Dylanna on September 6, 2022. She said she wasn't aware of the notice and if I wanted to stay I could. I told her that I have taken my business elsewhere and I will have everything out of my storage by the 6th. She then said that she could not remove the charges because I still have items in the storage and the due date for the storage is 10.1.22. If I would have removed all of my belongings by the 10.2.22 then there would be no charges, which is stated in the terms and conditions (which I never received). So, you gave me a notice to be out by the 6th and on top of that charging me to be kicked out! This place is a joke! Management sucks! PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! I also went in and there were mice droppings all over my stuff! Just disgusting! I told the manager that I will pay a prorated fee for 2 days, because yes, I went back and removed the mattress on 10.4.22. She told me she couldn't help me and if I don't pay, my account will be turned over to collections. WOW! This place has made my last 3 months of life hell. I am glad that I took everything out of their facility, so I don't have to deal with them any longer.

I never received the terms and conditions, and when I told Dylanna, he said oh you don't have to receive it. How do they get away with this? Something needs to be done. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and hopefully something will be done with the way they run things over there. I don't know how the other facilities are ran, but please stay away from this one. They are less expensive than others and now you know why. Paying more somewhere else is worth not having a headache and putting up with this!!

This company is TRASH

This company is TRASH! Not only if the Pasadena location horrible (where the woman sits inside and smokes weed clearly on her “sneak away” break times and tries to blame the Hispanic men whom come in to help work on the facility BUT the area manager for I’m assuming Pasadena/Houston area miss Stephanie is a LIAR. My husband was on life support and I let this facility know in fact that’s why his unit was behind a couple months on rent BUT when I went to make the payment on my rent I was told the completely incorrect dates along with charges and when I went to pay I had an outrageous $110 “lien” fee added on top of my two months of late payments in which I also explained to not only my facility manager BUT the main area manager and spoke with her in a very LENGTHY conversation explaining that I had to return home from being overseas early due to m my husband being sent to ICU but also that since I had to be out of my main homeland job for FMLA without pay I was not receiving any sort of income at the time for 12 weeks until I returned but we also on top of all of this chaotic mess were in the middle of being evicted due to our landlord selling our unit to new buyers and them lying and kicking us out when we were told they we going to allow us to stay…. But BACK to the main issue at hand… not only did Stephanie never get back in touch with me when she supposed to speak to my facility manager and go over some pretty serious unprofessional phone calls BUT when I had tried to reach SOMEONE to reinterate that I wanted to MAKE SURE somehow someway if we can put some sort of medical hold/hardship hold on both our units because We had very important items inside plus very sentimental on top of it and my military items and classified paperwork and gear BUT also my ate brothers memorialbia items after his passing a couple years ago… when I finally reached my locations manager she literally told me when I wanted to make sure and be reassured to PLEASE not sale our units/auction them because we would have the funds once j returned back to work she literally told me “SHE WASHED HER HANDS OF HANDLING ME AND OUR ISSUE AND THAT I NEEDED TO SPEAK WITH STEPHANIE.” Well not only was that completely trash ass attitude… which btw her name is Kameesha but also who does such a thing and goes and never contacts the customers back for instance I called after weeks of NEVER hearing a word back from miss Stephanie BUT I wrote an email and I called this last Thursday and the witch with a capitol B never called me back so I called the never Friday and was told that they “apparently” emailed me paperwork on the 21st of September to off me a percentage to pay which I NEVER RECEIVED…. In which this company should have reached out to me UNTIL they reached me in which they had my number and knew to also leave a VM… and nothing was done if the sort so this last Friday when I called I was told not only was my entire unit AUCTIONED Off on a Thursday (likely the damn day I called and never got an answer nor a call back!) but my husbands whom was in the hospital intubated his unit that we shared was also auctioned off…. Who does this sort of thing to people whom have stayed in contact and asked over and over what can be done to save our items before we can pay the white lump sum off and low and behold these people never ever bad intentions of helping us out. I have YET to get ahold of CORPORATE for this company In which that is the EXACT contact I wanted to begin me and neither location would give me the contact at all…. Seems odd. Now we are looking into trying to file some sort of snall claims lawsuit or something along the lines of sueing this place and/or these women have repercussions of not doing a professional job the proper way not have decent human decency nor care and concern for those who are going through a rough time but made sure they stayed in top of keeping them overly informed on what was going on.

This storage facility is TRASH

This storage facility is TRASH. The location in Houston Texas (Gulf freeway) is RIDICULOUS. The fat lady that sits in the front is rude and really really ridiculous. They refuse to work with their customers, and they over charge you in late fees and threaten to take your stuff to auction. I honestly believe they look through your stuff to determine if it's worth Selling and half of them probably keep your stuff for themselves. Trust me, they are not paying their so called “managers” that much money so they probably keep your stuff for themselves but regardless; this company is TRASH! Find another storage unit and stay away from this rude nasty and ridiculous facility!

Michelle at location 065 in Pensacola…

Michelle at location 065 in Pensacola Florida has been absolutely wonderful in many ways, from helping me last April to downsize my mother's storage unit to what we currently needed to today when she walked me through setting up an online account in order to make online payments. She has natural customer service skills that you just can't teach someone. So glad she is working at the Olive Road location. : )

Great service from lady’s Who work there very friendly and very kind I was having a very Stressful time moving and the lady’s was a ton of help it’s hard to find people like them anymore more ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

No pro-rating

For almost a year, there was no office on site. I went there 4 times and needed to call someone each time. Now there's an office but it's closed on weekends. I'm also moving all my belongings from 2 units on the 4th, but I have to pay a full month - no prorating.

Hassle but Resolved

These people are unconscionable thieves. I would put my stuff ANY place but at storage king. I am signed up for autopay. In April 2022 I called them to change my credit card information. The manager of the facility in Cleveland (Johnston Parkway) wrote down the expiration date info wrong and it declined in May. They didn’t send me the info that it declined until 6 days later. By that time, the late fees were already applied. I called and to straighten it out and they told me they sent an email earlier telling about the card being declined but I didn’t receive it. They didn’t care and said the late fees can’t be waived. Period! I asked who made that rule and they told me the district manager. I asked to speak to the district manager and was told I would receive a call back. I have since called three more times to speak to a district manager. It’s been 11 days and I haven’t received a call back yet. In the meantime, they took the payment AND the late fees from my account even though I DIDN’T authorize the payment. Still haven’t received a call back. This is theft and I am looking for an alternative at the moment. This company is completely unethical and I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! **UPDATE** after several more attempts to resolve this matter, and after letting them know I was going to social media, a district manager actually called me back. They agreed to remove the late fees and took 25% off my month’s rent. I appreciated the compensation but it should have happened the first time I called.

I was very impressed by Paul.

I was very impressed by how I was treated. I called first and Paul was very professional and very helpful. I went I. To sign my contract and was greeted by Paul right when I walked in. He was very organized and ready for me when I arrived. He showed me the unit and it’s was very clean and exactly what we needed. S&W Supply.

These people are horrible even if you…

These people are horrible even if you have been in the hospital and are only behind two or three months the charges are outrageous just because they want to keep your unit I do not recommend this unit to anyone I am in the very process of filing charges against them the manager in the fort Pierce Florida location her name is Zoraly Alveres has refused to even give me any kind of bargain to get my unit back just because they want to keep it..

Thieves

They over charged.me. Then when I came in to pay after making an arrangement they said it was now higher and they added a lien fee . Then they stole of .my purses . To make worse they didn't even have what was auctioned off they had half of it and owing for a storage doesn't give. 19thave manager chance the right to allow Amanda or anyone else to take my stuff . And here's even better they rented me. A storage with someone else's dresser in it. .so I say I can prove what I had in there and what was won at auction wasn't even all there . Shady ass. People chance and Amanda .stay away from storage king on 19th and peoria

I lost my job due to covid

I lost my job due to covid, I was late for the first time and charged a $60 late fee. I was late a second month by 2 days and charged a restocking fee of $102 dollars and threatened by email, mail and phone that my belongings would be sorted and up for auction if I did not pay the balance in 2 days time. I was a long term customer, horrible place, horrible staff and no 800 number to call so there is no customer service. Nazi company!

HORRIBLE place to RENt. DONT DO IT

This is the utmost most HORRIBLE HORRIBLE unwilling to help the customer, place to rent! DONT DO IT. I have been a customer for 7 years and these new owners are the worst. Corporate is rude and unwilling to help you out. However, the local staff are kind, understanding and willing to take the time to help and explain exactly what's going on with account! But they can only do so much. Decisions have to be made by corporate and their decision was NOT TO HELP. I have been trying to pay the balance minus the late fees so there will reflect a payment and GOOD FAITH that I want to keep my belongings. Well now with this new management, all balances have to be paid all at once or they wont accept your money. So then late fees, lien fees get added on getting me deeper in the hole. ITS CORPORATE who doesn't care about their customers. All they care about is the money. I happen to be in the office when the local manager was on the line with his supervisor and that man was so ugly and rude regarding my request (he didnt know I could hear him!). GUESS WHAT! HE SAID NO into looking into my account and that I needed to pay in full than after they get their monies that he would look into my account! That is pure EVIL and wrong. They are charging me something that they shouldn't be. Which again the error is on their end. So screw the customer is what their actions are saying. DONT RENT HERE.

This place is horrid and evil.

They refuse to work with us. Chance gave us the corporate number and said they would work something out with us because my mom got Covid and lost her job. We called them and they said that Chance was supposed to do it. I wish they’d quit passing the buck off and take responsibility. We are trying to keep our stuff. Fricken ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this crooked place to my enemy. I don’t know how they sleep at night. No remorse whatsoever. Evil place.
