Overpriced Chair & Even Worse Support

I work from home and have a chronic back condition, so my husband gifted me a Kinnls chair for Christmas. While the chair looks elegant, the quality is purely superficial.

From day one, the height adjustment mechanism was faulty. Instead of offering a replacement or a professional repair for a brand-new $1,000 product, customer service gave me the runaround for two weeks before sending DIY instructions for me to fix it myself. After multiple back-and-forth exchanges, I managed to get the height working, only to discover the reclining lever was also defective.

Once again, their solution was to send me "how-to" photos. Even after following their guide, the chair will not stay locked in a reclined position. It is unacceptable for a premium-priced brand to offload their quality control issues onto the customer. Save your money and buy from a company that actually stands behind its craftsmanship.

Service Made the Difference

The chair had a minor issue with the gas lift, but the customer service was excellent. They were responsive, professional, and quickly shipped a replacement part at no cost. Their proactive approach truly made the difference. The chair is comfortable and a great value.

This place is purely a scam

This place is purely a scam. You will receive a chair, but expect to be surprised by the quality, or lack thereof. And once your chair starts falling apart within a year, which it will, then you will receive no warranty support whatsoever. Despite anything on their website that might suggest otherwise, you will NOT receive any warranty support. This company will attempt to extort you for HUNDREDS of dollars additional before any 'warranty coverage' will begin. Expect to chargeback, if any issues at all should surface. That's what we had to do. Kinnls may not be wanting to refund or support their products, but your bank or credit card will have zero problem instantly refunding your money and fighting these scammers. Enough chargebacks, and the payment processors will drop Kinnls for good. That's the only solution here. Avoid this company like the plague. If you do get swindled, be prepared to chargeback!!!!

Good, But Not Great for My Frame

The chair is well-built and looks good. However, I'm a smaller person, and the lumbar support doesn't quite hit the right spot on my back. I find myself slouching. It's a quality chair, but the ergonomics just aren't a perfect match for my body type.

Your chair will be in the garbage in less than 3 months. You might spend 5 years contacting their customer service team but no one will ever answer you. Buy a Herman Miller Chair and give KINNLS the maximum middle finger possibly possible.

Total lack of customer service after the sale

There is no assembly instruction manual anywhere in the world. Found a short video on line but it did not include two key parts that were included with the shipment! So, after assembly, the arm rests were wobbling back and forth and they have ZERO customer service!! You can't call them and they won't call you!
All I want to know is if I assembled correctly. I sent videos, pictures and a detailed description of how I assembled. The contact at Kinnls keeps referring to the mfr, so I'm not sure who he works for. They promised to send replacement arms then reneged on that offer. I asked them to at least send plastic caps for fear that I might damage them when I reassembled the arms but they wouldn't even do that. So, with zero customer support here in the US, I suspect this must be an offshore company with a California address. That said, rather than mail me 4 plastic caps which would have cost them maybe $2.00, they refunded me 15% of my purchase price for my trouble. Otherwise, 1 star for their total lack of service after the sale. The chair itself actually appears to be OK as long as you don't need parts or service!

Terrible Quality, Dishonest Company

Horrible company. They hide legitimate bad reviews in the reviews section on their website, so the products seem well-rated. The desk I bought is junk. Clearly low quality. They make you drill parts in with no instructions or indications in the wood. It’s not even “assembly” at that point, I’m just building a desk with wood scraps. Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs — I wish I had.

Bought a chair for almost $2,000 and…

Bought a chair for almost $2,000 and the seat pad was lumpy and uncomfortable and appeared to be a manufacturing defect. I even purchased their "refund insurance" for $50 extra. I reached out regarding the defect and wanted to return the chair but they would not accept it and said that they couldn't "accept the loss".

Further, after performing an image search on their catalog photos of my chair, I was able to find the same chair for sale on alibaba for roughly $500. It's clear that they are just buying relative garbage and then marking it up by 400%.

I was sent a damaged chair

I was sent a damaged chair. They asked if I had a needle and thread, to repair myself. I told them that is ridiculous! I was then told to have someone repair, send them the bill and they would cover it. Well, would you trust them to pay it after you did?! Don’t buy from them! Not reputable!!!!! I lost $800.00! Please be aware!!!

BEWARE

BEWARE! Normally not one to bash others' businesses but those considering a purchase should be informed that this company scammed me out of $1,895.00. I ordered a desk chair from them and despite having successfully received hundreds of packages without ever having a single problem at my address, Kinnls' logistics services said they were unable to deliver the package. Because I never received the package I asked for a refund on March 30th, 2023, and got confirmation from the logistics service that the product was returned to Kinnls successfully on April 10th, 2023. Despite many, many attempts by me to recover my refund, Kinnls has been barely responsive and has not sent a refund as of today, July 27th, 2023. These are all true facts and are not intended to be made in a defamatory manner, but rather a precautionary one.

No discounts as promised for veterans.

kinnls does not stand behind their product. even if damaged

I contacted kinnls when i purchased the chair bc we couldn't figure out how to lock it. they send you useless assembly info when the piece that's broken is not assembled by customer. i called again yesterday and today, after two hours no one can help me. send an email and their web says they do not reply to emails they are very busy. l buyer beware, wonderful product if it weren't damaged and horrible horrible customer support, it doesn't exist,l they are too busy. never again! my friends love the chair, after my experience they re going somewhere else.

Have not received a Refund and it is now a month as of today

After canceling an order with Kinnls, I have been through all kinds of issues for now a month with no refund. I found troubling reviews, inaccurate info, and at this time, they have over 1300.00 from my credit card that has not been refunded, even though saying over the phone and in an email that they would refund as soon as I closed a dispute with my credit card, and yet they could have contacted my credit card company a month a go and just refunded what they promised and it would just go away.

There are a lot of red flags with this store, and personally I would stay clear of purchasing anything that is only my opinion.

If they do what is right I may come back and update it with a better outcome. BUT...Right now there is no way I can do that with them not refunding me.

By the way, when going to their website, I would believe most USA Citizens would think there is a furniture store you can visit, but just do a search on the address they provide and come up with your own conclusion. Or just try calling the phone numbers they provide and draw your own conclusion on that also.

I was totally shocked when thinking I was buying from an American website, and then getting an alert from my credit card company that my card was charged Internationally from Hong Kong. As of today I have over 1300 taken off a credit card, no refund, and of course not what I purchased because I canceled my order 1/2 hour after purchasing it.
