Lost In Space

After writing this review I got this generic response.

I called, and the customer service representative said that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. Well, it's way over 48 hours since I called, and no-one has called me.

The Store Space in Brandon, FL doesn't deserve one star, but I had to pick one to get this review started. My daughter rented a unit here, and I was affected due to her experience. This is our story.
1. Never contacted about change in company.
2. Rent rate increased $50.00. Never contacted.
3. Rental due date changed, and no contact.
4. No-one returns calls.
5. My daughter goes to store to pay her rent, and is
told her unit was sold.
6. No contact about unit being sold.
7. I was advised that my daughter had been
contacted by phone/emails every day, but my
daughter said she had not been contacted.
8. I'm a 2nd contact, so why wasn't I contacted?
9. When my daughter said she wasn't leaving until
she could speak to a manager, the police were
called on her.
I can say more, but the worse part of this story is I lost a large box of old family photographs that was being stored in that unit, and my daughter lost all her stuff. I called today, left email messages, and no-one has contacted me back.

Please don't do business here this place needs to be investigated cause their employees stole my stuff and they higher management doesn't respond back they let your property get tooking and their employee tried to cover this up

never got Amazon gift card ruined my belongings in so called climate controlled unit rust ruined furniture and kids mattress and then they tell me no number to contact for claims only email would never use them again cost me more money for new stuff then it did to rent unit not to mention manager at Cranston location sat on his phone all day with his head set on neglecting to even notice any customers in the facility place is a joke !

They don't know how to run the show.

Well let me put it what's going on. Boy they were so happy to come on board. Now that we sailed they've gotten me so mad. 3 times in 2 days I've been given the door code wrong. They contacted me about payment. A few days later that's when I paid and got settled in. Now another payment? What have I gotten myself into. So I spoke over with one of the employees that I owed $106.00. She told me to create account so I could pay. So I tried creating my account. Got an error message for my password. That I needed at least 8 characters, one letter & one numeric. 8 characters? Who's going to remember 8 characters. So I waited to the next day to contact me. They called me and asked me that my payment due is $143. How did it jump up by$40? I went into boil-mode. I informed her my situation. So she said try putting my password with no characters. I put in 8 letters & two numeric. That worked. So I made my payment over the phone and she told me everything was ok now. G
Went to takes some stuff in later on and there was a padlock on it. Do I couldn't open my door. Everything was going to be ok?

There location in Philadelphia PA on…

There location in Philadelphia PA on Erie Avenue is horrible! The staff steal out of the units. This location floods, and has rodents. They have horrible customer service. My belongings got mold on them, and they still charged me storage fees. No discount was offered and it took over a month for their claims department to even respond. No one had noted my grievance until 2 months later. I sent pics of the flooding and debris. I strongly encourage people to use another company for storage.

Store Manager Tyree Jones 3100 C Street Philadelphia PA

This is the first time that I have rented a storage unit. I actually did it for a friend who at time could not do it for herself. Thanks to Tyree Jones, it made things go as smoothly as possible and helped get the containers into the unit at the time. He was also very helpful in making sure the moving out process went smoothly. I believe it went beyond his job description. He made this process pleasant considering the circumstances.

POOR SECURITY!!!

In less than a year, a car that I had stored on their gated exterior parking lot was broken into in the spring, and vandalized over the summer. DO NOT PARK ANY VEHICLE THAT YOU DEWM VALUABLE ON THEIR STORAGE LOT.

The employees at the hamilton location…

The employees at the hamilton location took it upon themselves to break into my unit and destroy my unit and steal 1000's of dollars of my personal belongings including my recently deceased fathers 72 in lg tv. I filed a report with the police and upon investigation they found that my unit had no cameras covering it and they had no pictures of my unit on file which is protocol of them to have. I do not recommend trusting this place with any of your personal items. The manager never even bothered getting up from his desk to come assist me or offer any kind of assistance at all when I told him this had happened. There was no sign of damage to the locks that were on the unit but because I was late making my payment they had taken my locks off and put theirs on.

STAY AWAY

UPDATE: I had an international call with the GM and they fixed my issue by crediting back the late fee and reinstating my account. Thank you.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE MONEY HUNGRY SHARKS, they're shameless. I put my stuff in their care and gave them my credit card before my overseas trip after a deadly blast destroyed my parents' home. Meantime my credit card number has changed because of fraud. They failed to call me at my updated phone number and lied saying they did call; and they failed to even email me and couldn't even provide proof or date of such email. 5 days after receiving the usual Monthly invoice, I get an updated invoice with a... 20% late fee !!!!!!!!!!! That's $42 or 1,000,000 pounds in my local currency which is more than some people's salary. I couldn't believe it. This is called abuse !! I called them twice internationally to fix this but they don't give a damn about your circumstances, countries at war, or the fact that THEY were responsible for not sending you reminders regarding that issue. These guys offer you discounts to join but they make up for it by charging you obscene late fees without giving you the chance to fix the problem or the opportunity to correct a credit card issue. That's because they don't want you to resolve them. Any company on earth sends you reminders about failed or late payments or credit card issues before jumping the gun and sucking up your blood, starting with your own bank and credit card companies. Ash in St.Petersburg never did anything to assist in this matter. If you want peace of mind and not have to worry someone will exploit you when they have your furniture and belongings, please think twice before using this place. I'll contact the BBB about this. P.s: i paid the whole amount before leaving the review including the late fee, but Ash in st Pete sent me an angry email in revenge for the review where she basically terminated my lease and, according to the regional manager, didn't even provide a reason for it (what could it possibly be ?). So now you know that you either shut up and get screwed without complaining because of the possibility of vengeful egotistical actions, OR you wait until your lease is over and then leave a negative review. And this happened in America where freedom of speech is sacred.

Management changed their staff on Main St for the better since Danette and Sarah assisted me showing
where my space was and followed up with me about referral.

Once Store Space took over for Cube Smart, the place really went downhill.It is dirty, unkempt, trash everywhere. The worst thing, however, is that whenever I visit(VERY infrequently anymore), I am harassed by management as if I am doing something wrong. Even after this horrible treatment, they raised my rate $20.00. Definitely leaving & contacting their CEO. Huge MISTAKE to rent there!!!!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Account Resolution with No Solution but Good customer service saved the day. I want to commend Brad and Leslie of…

I want to commend Brad and Leslie of the 14 Railroad Street brach in Rochester N.Y. On 5/18/21 these two employees went all out and gave exceptional customer service. I rented a unit at the King Street brach and called and spoke with a female employee on Monday informing her I would come on Tuesday. When I arrived at the storage on Tuesday, there was a notice on the door stating that the office was closed on Sundays and Tuesdays. I gained access to the storage area after enteing my access code in the key pad but was initially unable to secure my property as there was no key. The notice on the door had a number to call so I did. Collins of the Accounts Resolution Department answered my call but he NO RESOLUTION!! I explaine that I am in route to the Bronx and need to store college items. The nerve of this man to tell me the manger for the King Street branch was not available to speak with me. He said the region manager would speak to me later on on the evening then it later changed to tommow (Wednesday). He also said I would have to request for a refund and he had no idea how much of my payment would be refunded. He literally said, "the only solution I have for you is to come back tomorrow." Being stuck I called the Railroad street branch and Brad was very apologetic even though it was not his mistake. Brad reassured me that he would do his best to help and get me a safe storage space. Brad spoke wit his manager and at the end was able to give me access to a key to secure my belongings.

Don’t rent from this company!

Don’t rent from this company!! RUN! This is the worst company to deal business with. I had a storage unit for 7 years with a different facility that store space brought out. I never had any issues with them. Ever since this company brought them out, I have had numerous of issues, they raise your rent every 6 - 8 months, there has been no improvement in the facility, if you don’t pay your rent within 30 days, the only way to pay your balance is if you go into the facility. You get lock out of your online payment. It’s so many issues I can’t even go into it. I would never rent a storage unit from this company ever again. I dislike this company and how they handle their business. All they care about is money. Renter Run!

NO STARS

NO STARS. There appears to be a ring of thieves that is working at the Store Space storage facility in St. Petersburg, FL. They are looking for 'improperly locked' units. My STRONG FEELING is that this is a criminal organization run by someone on site AT THE FACILITY I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS 4th Street location. They have been asked to produce video footage and have STILL NOT PROVIDED IT. I am looking to sue them. If you have had your items stolen, feel free to reply here (if thats possible) or contact the SPPD. I'd LOVE to hear from someone at Store Space to get some answers.

UPDATE... they have now cooperated with the police and will provide the security video... however... they said their IT person was NOT ABLE TO ACCESS THE VIDEO. This place.
