Not worth it- look elsewhere

I’m incredibly disappointed in this company. I received a Christmas cactus as a gift. While it arrived, full & seemingly pretty, almost all of the buds/blooms were detached, along with multiple branches from shipping. I reached out to customer service with photos & assistance was very inconsistent. Right away, I was told, they’d send a replacement but never received any sort of confirmation for a week+. So I reached out again & got some weird reasoning that their systems were down & would I like a gift card. I asked for a replacement plant & received a shipping confirmation soon after. The replacement Christmas cactus was TERRIBLE!!! It looked nothing like the photo on the site or like the first one I received. It was tiny with 5 “stubs” with no blooms & once again, branches had fallen off….I planted it, but I think it’s already dead. How incredibly disappointing. I wrote a review on their website & it’s now gone-shady. My dad gifted me a Christmas cactus a couple decades ago but upon moving out of the country had to leave it behind, so this gift was in memory of that….sadly, not a good memory now as I have two pathetic cactuses in poor shape.

Subscription NOT worth it!

Received a 6 month subscription from my husband for our 31st anniversary. I have 2 left and 1 isn’t doing well! Two arrived damaged and 2 died within days of receipt. You receive them in the tiniest pots that I believe are just plopped into soil just prior to shipping them out and expect them to take root…they can’t. We contacted Succulents Box and went back and forth because they insisted, at first, that these weren’t purchased from their company! Then, they were only willing to send 1 replacement out of 4! I explained what happened and sent photos of all the plants and they held strong on only offering one. We paid $15 each $10 for the plant and $5 for shipping! Let me reiterate. They are ridiculously tiny and not worth anywhere near $15! Stay away from this poor business practice! They have better selections at your local market for a lot less $$$! They don’t stand by their promise to replace them if they’re damaged or die! Lesson learned!

Mealy Bugs :(

Succulents Box is a legitimate company with some really cool plants to pick from for low prices. However, I have never gotten a plant from them that didn't die from mealy bugs eventually. It's sad because I have gotten some really cool plants from them. If you order a plant here, I highly recommend isolating your plant and treating very intensely for mealy bugs from the get go and hopefully they don't kill it.

Shady company don't trust them!

I ordered two plants from them and Aloe vera plant and a Spider plant the Aloe plant was nice and healthy and still doing good the spider plant was sick before it even came to my house leaves all brown and wilted I thought maybe I could bring it back but it died and they refused to make it right since it was over 14 days but in my mind they should have never sent me that plant to begin with I would not trust them super shady

Great company I bought some beautiful gifts for friends and they loved them. I love the unique ideas of this gift. I love the heart planter it’s so cute. I will definitely order more plants

I also ordered some for myself it’s been 6 months and the plants are still going strong and came in the cutest box! Very happy

Wouldn’t recommend


Bought a couple plants for my mom for Mother’s Day. They didn’t show what shipping option they’d use on the site. I tried to email to clarify because one of her addresses doesn’t have a mailbox but they will usually hold at the post office. I never got a response there. I posted a comment on their Instagram saying they didn’t reply. They replied once asking for my email to “find it” and then never replied, never followed up to my email. I replied again that I couldn’t in good conscience ever recommend anyone use them… still silence.

My mom got the package. It was heavily damaged in transit and only got there because it was a small town and they knew her name, because it went to the wrong place due to the damage.

I won’t ever order from them again. The fact that they completely ignored a customer who reached out multiple times is wild.
