Sunstate Moving Company is a great Moving Company. They made it an easy transition from California to my new home in North Carolina. They are very dependable and reliable. They made me feel at ease and answered any questions that I had. I would recommend this company for anyone to use. I have never had service like this before. Be aware price trippled Now going to be Paying $1500 for storage
The price in which United First Class Moving (broker) estimated by the photos which i submitted in advance quoted me $11200.00,
Reservation Payment $4000 (this i found out was the broker fees)
Pickup payment $3600
Delivery Payment $3600

The price in which the Broker quoted me tripled in price!
Now that i cannot afford to pay for the delivery i have to pay $1500 a month.
For 3000 cubic feet Sunstate charged $18440.00
Now i cannot afford to pay and i may loose all my precious family items, what they could of done better (Eric) is called me before my storage was up not on the day of. And maybe i could figure out how to get the rest of the money. I have to come up with $4000 extra and i am financially tapped out!

The initial estimate of 2,000 cubic feet was provided by United First Class Moving, the broker, based solely on the information and photos you submitted. However, when our Sunstate Moving crew arrived, it was clear that the actual shipment was well over double the estimated volume. This included over 100 additional items, large/heavy equipment such as motorcycles, quads, a 300+ lb toolbox, and many unpacked items requiring full-service packing.
Due to this, the job required two full days of work with extra labor and materials. All revised charges — which were based on the actual cubic footage, added packing, and special handling — were fully explained, agreed upon, and signed for prior to loading. The final cost did not triple, and we even offered the option to move only the originally estimated items to stay within the original quote, which was declined.
To help ease the situation, we applied a $500 discount as a courtesy, and also arranged for a one-day guaranteed straight delivery — a premium service to ensure your items arrived without delay or transfer.
Additionally, we provided one month of free storage at no charge. When that period ended, our team reached out to confirm whether you were ready for delivery or wanted to extend the storage — we did not wait until the last moment.
We strive to treat every customer with professionalism and care, and we expect the same for our team. Unfortunately, our crew did report being treated with disrespect during this job, which is never something we take lightly.
It’s important to note that when working with a broker, the accuracy of the initial inventory list is the customer’s responsibility. We acted in good faith, performed substantial extra labor, and took multiple steps to accommodate your situation.
We are always willing to work toward solutions, but we also believe in sharing the full and accurate story.

Outstanding customer service!! We moved a couple of cities over and it could not have gone any smoother! They arrived on time when indicated and all my valuables were intact and wrapped so professional. I was pleasantly surprised. Sunstate Moving made our move stress free! Highly recommend them!
