My Partner and I had the most wonderful stay at Kate and Duncan’s cottage. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, spotless, and thoughtfully prepared. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, cozy, stylish and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break.

The highlight was definitely the jacuzzi. It was the perfect way to unwind in the evening and it made the whole stay feel extra special.

Kate and Duncan are exceptional hosts — warm, responsive and genuinely caring. They’ve created a space that feels peaceful, private, and full of charm. You can tell they’ve put their hearts into making this cottage a true home-away-from-home.

We left feeling rested, happy and already excited to return. If you’re looking for a relaxing escape with wonderful hosts, in a beautiful location this is absolutely the cottage to book.

Very nice and quaint place. The little things that helped our stay even more pleasant was that there was all cooking equipment and air fryer. The hot tub outside was amazing we sat for hours with beautiful views. Had a peaceful night's sleep with no noise at all from outside. The village itself was lovely. Nice little shops. Not like city's with all the tacky phone shops with bright lights. We highly recommend staying here.

Very pleasant and amenable location. Hosts are very helpful and pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and/or family (in fact I have done so).
Centrally located, great access to the East Midlands. Short walk from Tutbury high street and all of it's amenities.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Me and my partner really enjoyed it. The host Duncan was fabulous! So clean and smelt amazing. Such a quirky little place. I could live there! Everything you need and the hot tub and tv outside were so good! Pubs and takeaways on your doorstep aswell as beautiful views. It was just a shame the weather wasn't very nice as tutbury castle also on your doorstep. We will definitely be back to stay again.

The process from start to finish was nothing short of exceptional. Duncan has a real gem located in the heart of Tutbury which he should be immensely proud of.
The service he gave me at the start when booking this property was a clear indication of what we would expect to see on arriving.
Duncan was there on hand to show us around and then leave us to our privacy. The property was private and secluded enough even though it was located on the back garden of where Duncan lives. The hut itself is excellently set out and has everything you could wish for during your stay.
The real gem of this hut is the Jacuzzi/hot tub which is situated outside next to the hut. The tub is large and spacious and comes with an outside television that allows you to relax and unwind.
The location of the property is ideal as it is within the village of Tutbury, which has a range of restaurants, shops and public houses.
There were little things that stood out for me on this trip which included a personalised birthday card for my wife, the outdoor television which allows you to use the hot tub and catch up on some of those Netflix programs, and also the amenities which they leave you such as cereal, milk bread etc - the little things matter!
We have stayed in a fair few similar properties, but this is by far the stand out property and I would recommend anybody looking for a short stay consider the property without hesitation.
It was excellent value for money and we will be back no doubt.

Such a lovely place ! The hosts are so friendly and the hot tub is amazing ! Perfect location too ! Would definitely recommend !

Excellent little place in a brilliant location, great host who was more than helpful.

Stayed after a visit to Alton towers - small but perfectly formed. Lots of nice touches such as milk - bread for breakfast as well as tea and coffee sachets and the view from the hot tub is lovely - would def stay again but really only suitable for 2 as there is not much headroom on the mezzanine level

The cottage has a very nice homely feel and can easily fit 3 people to stay.
The owners were lovely and the view of the field in the morning is just magnificent. I would really recommend this cottage if you are planning to stay in Tutbury.
