I have been developing a property management system in Python/Flask/mySQL/Javascript to include expense management. I have tried a number of receipt OCR API's and found Taggun. Initially there were some issues with the OCR of a receipt format used by one of my suppliers, however after contacting Taggun I was impressed with the speed response and how quickly the issue was fixed. The API is well structured and very easy to program and the response speed is very good. I would recommend anyone looking at receipt OCR API's to look at Taggun.

We got some mixed reviews on the effectiveness of our OCR versus other apps that do the similar function.

We did a side-by-side comparison to understand where exactly the OCR is failing. We realized that the other app that claimed to have ML and AI to drive their accuracy, is supplying OCR for much less receipt details. They extract bonly the subtotal, taxes and total lines.

We have created a new vtest version of our app that permits our clients to apply OCR to just the subtotal, taxes and total, but also expand their OCR to detail lines.

By allowing users to change their scope for OCR, we believe our app will be able to match or exceed the results of the comparative product.

Been using taggun since 2017-2018 and I have never been dissapointed with their service. Accuracy is one of the best in the market

Just amazing. I wanted to used goole documents AI, but that did not extract the data from receipts as expected. Taggun is spot on and I do not have to train the models. Reasonably priced and easy to use.

Taggun is a lightweight and easy solution which worked for me very well. It is basically an api to which you can send invoices and receipts as pdf files and get the information inside the pdf as a json which is very handy. What also very handy is, is that you get also a confidence parameter for each data point from which you can programmatically determine if the information is accurate or not.

Also the pricing is very fair and you get 50 Scans per month free. I am happy that i found this service.
