Generally pretty poor overall…
Generally pretty poor overall experience with Tallrock. Returns continue to be negative, and Finlay and Hawthorne portfolios both performed really badly, significantly worse than all other investments I have. Still in negative returns space, down 13% with no real signs of recovering.
In addition to poor performamce the admin can be infuriating taken weeks for changes to be processed. Example being forms need to be signed multiple times, checked and rechecked for errors by the client.
In the response below, i am disappointed by both the fact that tallrock had my original review deleted and then attempted to mark this one as defamatory when it is all true.
Additionally I am disappointed that instead of taking ownership they have attempted in the below to try and imply that the blame lies with me or external providers! I have multiple examples of poor practices leading to me have to review and rereview portfolio related documents.

The Finley and Hawthorne portfolios, like any investment, are subject to market movements and risk. That said, these portfolios were originally selected based on your risk profile and goals at the time. We’ve reached out with review and rebalancing opportunities along the way, and we always encourage clients to engage in those conversations so we can adapt strategies if needed.
On the admin front, we hear you loud and clear. Some processes—especially when it comes to compliance and external provider requirements—can be frustrating. We’re actively working to streamline and improve turnaround times where we can, and we appreciate your patience.
We’d really value the chance to sit down with you, re-evaluate your current position, and explore better-suited options moving forward. Please reach out to our team when you’re ready.
Great and proactive service
We experience our personal advisor, Mrs. Tanya Mayer, from TallRock to be very proactive to our benefit. Due to her support, we can focus on our other priorities while she ensures we have the right portfolio for the current market situation. We have been with her for 7 years now and have the results to prove it's a successful partnership.

Great experience for first time investors
Investing all of our savings was a big step for us, but Tanya and the team at TallRock have provided such a brilliant and personalised service for us. Tanya took the time to really understand our needs came up with a plan that worked for us, talking through each step and being on hand to answer any questions we had. We have had nothing but a positive experience with our financial advisor.
