Incompetent untrustworthy company

Incompetent untrustworthy company, run by amateurs. I purchased 2 cases of wine which were delayed because Tannico did not attach an invoice. My delivery has been stuck for days in a depot and despite emails to the company’s customer service department I haven’t received any response for days. Awful, should pay more attention to shipping matters given the wine is expensive and if not stored properly can be ruined.

Ignoring requests for a refund for missing products

I ordered 5 bottles of wine, 4 were part of a case in a wooden box plus a separate bottle. The items were shipped quickly but then held up at customs as they did not attach a comerical invoice. The items were due to be delivered on Friday 1st December as a 2 part shipment as the case and individual bottle had been packaged separately. The individual bottle was delivered but not the case of 4 bottles. I contacted Tannico on the 1st but go not respose so contacted UPS. I was informed by UPS the other package would arrive on Monday 4th but it never arrived. I contacted Tannico who assured me that they would chase it with UPS. On Tuesday 5th it was not delivered again so I contacted UPS who said that they could not locate the box and the tracking was not updating. They advised me to inform Tannico so they could send a replacement. I contacted Tannico who eventually got back to me to say that UPS had located the box and it was damaged. They offered me a refund or different items as the box of 4 bottles were out of stock. I asked for a full refund as the individual bottle on its own was only a small part of the order which was a gift. I was informed that I would have to pay return shipping even though the issue with an incompete order was not my fault. I sent a link to some different products as a replacement but did not hear back. I have since sent various emails to chase this and then eventually request a refund. I have received no response. I have had to contact my bank to request a refund. Do not use this company.

I ordered a Pillitteri icewine last…

I ordered a Pillitteri icewine last week and was worried that it might not be received in time. I contacted customer service via E-mail to explain the concern.

My E-mail was responded to quickly and I was advised of the standard ETA to the UK of 4-5 days. I requested the order still be put through and hoped for the best. It was Thierry who I liaised with via E-mail - he is polite and responsive.

I ordered on Tuesday evening and it was with me on Friday!! Amazing service and super-fast dispatch and delivery. Thank you!

Great for bulk orders of more obscure wines.

Great selection of wines that you can't get in the UK, timely delivery, kept updated about delays. Overall a great experience.

I ordered two half cases of wines from Salento that you can't get in the UK, as a domestic customer. Prices are a little high compared to buying from the cantine.. but you'd have to go Italy to do that so it doesn't feel excessive. Moreover, shipping was free with the order value.

It was clear to me that the company was based in Italy and items would be shipped from there and I was prepared to wait some time for the goods to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised when the first consignment arrived within 3 working days of placing the order. The second box was delayed; however the shipper's app kept me updated and it arrived intact today.

Perhaps I was lucky, but I would highly recommend for their selection of hard-to-find Italian wines. If you have something very specific in mind, and are buying by the case, you can't fault this service. If you are in a hurry or after a single bottle, this might not be the right place.

Worst experience ever

My order never arrived.

It should be delivered on the 24th of November and today is still lost somewhere.

I called 4 times customer service and initially they said that I provided a wrong address. The address provided is a Restaurant, how can it be wrong?

I asked for refund few days ago and never received an answer.

Even if I receive the refund, nobody is going to "refund" me the hours I lost with them.

Very bad experience.

Awful Experience

Company is trading from a UK website/using a UK telephone number, but they are based in Italy. At the time of ordering, I'd not realised this or considered that they wouldn't have the goods they were selling in stock and that they would in fact be sent from Italy... and this is where the problems began. Their initial scheduled delivery date was unrealistic as they hadn't even sent the goods at the expiration of that date. Then, they used UPS (need I say more?) Needless to say, the goods never turned up and I was subjected to hours and hours of my life I'll never get back trying to chase the order with both Tannico and UPS. To their credit, after spending hours on the phone to no avail, Tannico did respond better to emails and eventually refunded the order. If they changed their courier, this would perhaps be a better company to deal with?

Awful

Awful! Order didn’t turn up even though it was stated it was delivered and received.

Sent several emails which have had zero response.

Some classic Italian reds on offer.

Very happy with Tannico. I ordered 6 bottles of Brunello and Barolo wines and they arrived in good time and at a good price. Can't comment on the wine as that won't be opened for some time yet.
Very pleased with the experience and will 100% use again.
