Tatte Avis 

The taste was just so-so. It somewhat affected my mood during the journey. But it's okay. I won't come again in the future.

We recently visited Tatte Bakery Café in Annapolis, MD with a party of five, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing across the board. Not a single order met expectations: the quiche was burnt, the salad was not fresh, the wrong sandwich was served, the soup arrived cold, and the salmon was undercooked.

To make matters worse, the staff was noticeably rude. When I asked for the bottled water I had ordered and paid for, the server abruptly responded, "How do I know you ordered bottled water?" and walked off before I could even point to the paid receipt sitting on our table. After speaking with the manager, the same server returned and slammed the bottle down on the table.

The manager later sent over a waitress who asked where we were from. When we explained that we were local, she offered two complimentary desserts for our group of five. I found it odd that our location seemed to influence the offer—it felt unnecessary and somewhat off-putting.

I reached out to Tatte’s corporate office by email, and after four attempts (aside from automated responses), someone finally got back to me. They refunded the cost of the unsatisfactory food, which I do appreciate, and they are also sending a gift card so I can give Tatte another try. I thank the corporate office for their response and refunding the price of our meal.

I do plan to try them again—but not at the Annapolis location, due to the poor service and unprofessional behavior of both the manager and wait staff.

Tatte is consistently delicious with a great variety of options. The quality doesn't disappoint. My only complaint is that it can be a bit on the pricey side, but the taste and atmosphere make it worth the splurge every now and then. A solid go-to spot!

Very busy so we thought we would give it a try. Disappointed as everything looks very nice, Luke warm coffee and a hefty 20% to have it brought to you…. First time I’ve tried this chain whilst in Boston MA, don’t think I’ll bother again
