Ali Merassi was friendly and helpful and so was the chef . The shows for the children are only advertised across the road at the other Hotel so my children missed the Halloween events which was disappointing for them it should have been advertised on our notice board because we look at it daily in our hotel not on the kids club board so this is a negative also the spa is not included in all inclusive and it’s aged 15 and over only so us as a family could not use this even though at other Spanish resorts it’s a family entry all inclusive included so this was disappointing too . Food drinks all good and water park is great and beach close a clean and tidy complex and we would definitely like to return if possible so I would say it is a four star hotel with a couple of negative views.

Far from 4-star hotel

When your first experience of the hotel is to see the room with rots and dirty toilet, you don’t expect the best from the hotel.

The tap water smells of chlorine, so you expect to get free water in rooms as other hotels with 4 stars.

Food is very blend - as elderly friendly. No taste.

It felt like as if you’re not welcome. When you have only 45 min to eat each meal and the waiters are more busy taking your plate away, even though you’re not done eating, then a sudden sense of urgency gets into you.

One of the younger chefs didn’t even wanted to help you out by serving you simple toasted bread with cheese. He kept pointing that he only makes them with ham. Get a grip and just make one without ham! How hard can it be. Next day we pushed for it and finally got a lazy made sandwich.

My point is, that you are not well received.

One day the cleaning lady got angry because my husband asked her to come one hour after for cleaning due to I was sleeping after a troubled night with shoutings from neighbors. She came back after two hours and we just came back, thinking she was done cleaning. Since she hasn’t came with thought she will come next day.
But when she arrived two hours later and got mad, saying the phrase “first one hour, now 10 min”, because we needed 10 min to dress up and go out, so she should clean.
You shouldn’t treat your guests like that in any hotels. We tried to be polite.

The beautiful lady receptionist and senior chef Theo were only who gave us good treatments.

You money is better spent on hotels next to Valle Taurito. This hotel doesn’t even have a bar with screen to watch sports nor have any activities.

NOT a 4-star hotel - Valle Taurito

When you have been in many 3, 4, 5-star hotels, you’ll recognize, that this hotel’s standards doesn’t match up with 4-stars. It is slightly below 3-star in our opinion.

Here are details to must know.

Positive:

Restaurant: Chef Theo’s service at the restaurant, whenever he was present.
Food: deserts were often delicious.
Pool: nice and cozy and big.

Negative:

Room: old and broken furnitures. You can from 7 am hear kids running on the hallway and till 11 pm you can’t relax due to music outside.

Toilet: rotten door, cleaning is bad. Black holes on toilet seat. Poor lightening.

Restaurant: it’s like an old hospital. So boring and furnitures are poor. The tables are unstable.
Drinks tasted salty and all the wines were mixed with water. Even the tea water smelled old.

Food: no taste. Senior friendly because mostly boiled and fried food. Same item were available 2-3 places just to fill the gaps. 70% of the food with meat were with pork.
The next day you get remainings from the day before.

Bar: poorly mixed drinks. Like cheap alcohol. Pool restaurant has leftovers from breakfast.

If you are used to great service and know what to expect from 4-5- star hotels, then you’ll be disappointed here.

No tea options in room, no water fill up in room - even though you shouldn’t drink tap water. No mini bar. Half of the items in pool bar is for extra pay, even though you have all-inclusive.

You have to wear the same arm band the entire stay. There are no bottled water option at the restaurant. You have to get it from machine.

You only have like 45 min to eat. If you’re late, then no option.
If you have late dining, you miss the evening shows outside.

No entertainment inside the hotel. Not even a screen so you can watch football.
