Bought the Virus (£32) for my dog…
Bought the Virus (£32) for my dog (staffy cross) based on reviews (should have checked here) and details stating it was 'durable' with 'strong stitching' and could be used for games of tug with medium to large dogs, their own information states these are designed to stop dogs destroying plush toys... oh how foolish & naive i was.
My dog initially loved her Virus, it took a little 'coaching' to get her to focus on the removable limbs and we were away. She had them off in 30-seconds, it took me a good few minutes to reattach and off we went again. Under strict supervision and after approx. 3 detachments some of the stitching came apart around the velcro pockets and I sewed/repaired them.
Same loop repeats, stripped in minimal time and more time for me to reattach while she sits giving me the doe eyes wondering why i'm playing with her toy more than her!
I gave up and let her have it completely (without wrestling it back off her after limbs were detached). The whole thing was destroyed in minutes... ripped apart at the seams.
If your dog is a destructive chewer, this is not the toy for you... take that ££ and give it to a local pet charity where it could help some animals (or whatever you want, i'm not your boss), but I don't recommend this product at all.
Reading the refund/returns policy and other reviews, I've no chance or recouping costs... I've nothing to send back and there's a handy little get out clause in their FAQ "We do not cover any damage caused by misuse (chewing, gnawing or ripping of individual parts)"... little odd for a chew toy!
Anyway, my recommendation is don't bother.. unless your dog is already gentle with plush style toys, you're just gonna end up with expensive stuffing on the floor!
