Just found an auction with an item listed at $999
Its value is nowhere near that amount; it’s maybe 100 at most. They are overvaluing items for a reason. I will now show you AI's reasons for this.
-ALWAYS CAREFULLY CHECK THE MAINFEST!!!-
This list of reasons for auction overvaluation was generated by a very accurate AI model:
🚨 Reasons for Auction Overvaluation
• Shill Bidding/Fake Demand: The liquidator or their associate places phony bids to create the illusion of competition and drive the price up.
• False Price Anchoring: Listing an inflated Original MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) in the description to make the final winning bid seem like a better deal psychologically.
• Profit Maximization: A higher sale price directly increases the liquidator's commission (buyer's premium), maximizing their own revenue.
• Competitive Bias: Leveraging buyer psychology to force bidders to raise their offers simply to win the perceived bidding war, fueled by the high initial valuation.
Lots of red flags with this liquidation platform, buyer confidence is at an all-time low, the future of techliquidators.com remains uncertain due to low ratings, bad listing practices, and some lots that were just picked through.
The company has been acquired multiple times. Keep in mind, this doesn't always mean a company is profitable, short-term or long-term.
Buyers need to exercise extreme caution when purchasing anything on this platform or placing even a single bid.
The days of pallets and returns are over.
TechLiquidators Is a Shell of What It Used to Be — Nothing But Junk Now
TechLiquidators has completely fallen apart over the past few years. This company used to be a solid source for decent returns and liquidation deals — now it’s nothing but overpriced junk. Ever since Best Buy started selling their own used and returned products directly, TechLiquidators has been dumping whatever’s left — and it shows.
You can tell right away that something shady is going on. The bidding system feels manipulated, like someone inside the company or some bot is inflating prices against real buyers. It’s hard to believe that a platform this large can allow that to happen, but the pattern is impossible to ignore.
What’s worse is that they clearly don’t care. We can complain all day, but they’re making their money and then some — while smaller resellers and independent business owners are left holding pallets of worthless merchandise. It’s frustrating and sad to see a company that once had a good reputation sink to this level.
If you’re thinking of giving them a try, don’t. Costco and other liquidation sources are miles ahead — tested, consistent, and honest. TechLiquidators, on the other hand, has turned into a gamble that almost guarantees you’ll lose money.
The old TechLiquidators is gone. What’s left is a company that’s forgotten about its customers and the trust that built its name in the first place.
Everything that is marked used and…
Everything that is marked used and tested is not in fact tested at all. Most of the stuff here is completely broken, missing parts, dirty and just completely inaccurate. Would stay away and they are definitely manipulating the bidding.
Complete scam
Complete scam, I do not know how they continue to stay in business. They have an automatic bot that bids against you which is highly illegal, they do not disclose this information in the auction listing. A few weeks later you will see the same lot back on the website or they break it down into smaller lots.
The product is all repair stock/junk, yet they claim "Used Working" which again is false advertisement. They need to be investigated by the attorney general. Sick and tired of their fraud. We have lost thousands dealing with this company, you will never receive the correct condition or quantity that is advertised.
The computer monitors are all junk with many having bleeding and cracked screens. They are by law supposed to carefully recycle these, yet they claim "Used Working" and pass them off to unsuspecting customers.
Any lots that are actually good, you will never be able to obtain at a fair price due to the illegal bots that have coded into the bidding process. If you do win, you will never make a profit.
TechLiquidators Commiting Fraud against buyers
Purchased a lot of graphics cards at auction with Best Buy via TechLiquidators. They are knowingly committing fraud against their customers and have admitted as such multiple times --- even their own leadership is aware.
Date of transaction March 7th.
Cost of this one transaction: $910
BestBuy committed to provide 3 specific models of graphics card. They then proceeded to send 3 completely different models of video card. All of which are lower less expensive models.
IE: RTX 4080 instead of a RTX 4080 Super
Dispute is based on the fact that BestBuy has a repeated history of violating their own terms of what they are selling and shipping. Their own staff do not bother to verify items and if sold in a salvage condition they claim they can ship anything they want to you even a piece of trash and its meets their conditions.
Business is aware of their own wrong-doing but is not willing to make it right according to their own support staff whom I have been talking with. Specifically Heather (with optoro support).
The problem is they are taking items that have been box swapped. Then auctioning them off as the original item --- when they know for a fact they are not. Internally they even mark the items as the wrong item or as tampered. They commit this fraud on their customers daily across many product types. This needs to be resolved since they are unwilling to honor their own failures.
How does this so-called company stay in…
How does this so-called company stay in business?
Why doesn't someone shut them down? What good is the BBC.

MISSING MOST EXPENSIVE ITEMS OF LOT
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ABSOLUTE JUNKHOLE OF A COMPANY. THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OPERATED BY A BUNCH OF LYING LOSERS WHO ARE COMPLETELY USELESS. I ORDERED A LOT WHICH WAS MISSING 3 ITEMS AND THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP AND COULDN' OPEN A CLAIM. SHUT DOWN AND REPORT THESE SCAMMING LOSERS.
Horrible company
Horrible company. Missing items, especially the more expensive ones when you open up the pallet. They also operate a scam by bidding up on all the listings.
Techliquidators are frauds
I ordered somthing from them that said 5 items. When i received the package it only had 4 items and the most expensive item is what was missing and the 4 other items are relatively worthless compared to that one that was missing, then they gave me a run around. Not to mention for shipping cost on the 4 items that (could have easily ben packed in smaller box and weighed less than 10lbs) they charged 200dollers for shipping after I bought it and I didnt know about that until I won the auction. Plus the bidding on the auctions on that website you can tell they have somone bidding higher to try ripping people off because then they get relisted again on the site when they dont sell. Avoid these people at techliquidators.com they were horrible in my experience and they ripped me off.
"Like New" Products arrived damaged
Purchased a "like new" condition lot, which should have minimal wear. 3/5 items had severe damage, which requires professional care/repairs, and happened to be the most valuable items. I reached out to support, and their solution was to refund me much less than what the items were worth by overvaluing the items that didn't have a problem, making this option lose me money. I asked for a partial refund instead to have the items fixed, and am now not receiving a reply. Even if I did get a refund, this is a huge waste of time and the descriptions are a complete lie. A "like new" product should have minimal cosmetic wear and no functional damage. I received severe functional damage and they offer horrible help. According to the stickers on the order, these items have been sitting for years, likely causing these damages, and likely don't get checked before being sent out. Lastly, the items are packaged horribly. The box the items were in was completely rotten and ripped from one side. It had no packing, making the items inside fly around and hit each other and the box. The bags with the items were also already partially ripped. Some items don't have proper labeling/stickers, and one item was not the same as the one shown in the manifest.
100% Fraudulent Advertised New Sending Salvage
100% Fraudulent, buyers please beware. I have been purchasing from this site techliquidators for many years which is owned by Best Buy and recently fulfilled/operated by Optoro Inc. They openly advertise "Used Like New" and will send you salvage completely broken items mixed in with Used - C grade barely working or very poor condition products or completely different lower value models and items not advertised. This is not a one-time mishap or accident by them, this has happened to me over and over again for many years concluding that they are purposely doing this and it is part of their business model.
I have purchased from most of their categories throughout the years and I can tell you from my experience that they are purposely misleading and defrauding many people and small businesses. Their new operator/management, Optoro Inc. (BULQ.com) has taken this fraud to new levels I never imagined.
Their entire customer service staff is trained to run in circles and then pass the phone/e-mail to a colleague when you ask for a supervisor or upper management to run in more circles. They will try and manipulate you until you until you lose your mind and then only offer you a fraction of what is legally owed to you in the case of a return or misrepresented listing or item, short orders, wrong orders, etc.
Before Optoro was handling techliquidators.com, the previous management would actually listen to what the issue is and offer a reasonable solution. Now forget about it, they will not reimburse you for any of their 100% faults such as mixing salvage clearly broken gaming consoles/cell phones/headphones/etc.. with junk C and D grade barely functioning devices and clearly advertising them as "Like New" working.
You have been warned, please keep your sanity and stay as far away from Best Buy's techliquidators and Optoro Bulq.com
Shill bidding
Do not bid on this website, they bid on their own auctions if the price is too low. You can tell because the same auction is relisted a week later.
I had been watching a several auctions.
I had been watching a several auctions.
The same undercovered bidders are raising price by bidding on almost every item.
If you did not jump into the fake (Game)
They are relisting items a few days later.
Scammers.Waist of time.
The whorst in the game they sold me…
The whorst in the game they sold me stolen airpods
0 professionalism i recomand to nobody
Selling fake items..they will remove…
Selling fake items..they will remove parts from electronics and put fake parts in them. If you buy salvage lot expect them to be very dirty and unhealthy with all kinds of bad stuff on them. Be very careful they will also refuse refunds if you file too many complains.
Intentionally Obscure Listings
The process is fine and all, really it is the way they choose to mislead by listing "returns" and "exchanges" in the same category.
The difference between the two is huge, so just bear in mind you are probably bidding on stuff that was used and worn down before being traded in. You are most likely not bidding on stuff that was purchased, and then returned within some 30-day return window.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. They response one time every month
