5 weeks waiting to find out how long my screen repair might actually take

My Laptops been with Techstar Castletroy for 5 weeks for a screen repair. From the last time I called into them a few days ago I believe there's been some issue with sorting the part which I'd have been very understanding about if I wasn't given a different excuse and deadline everytime I speak to them. I was originally told the repair would take a week and if anything changed id be contacted. After the deadline passed I rang them again and was told it may take a few days. Since then I've been told different stories such as they have the part and it will only take another day and that the part is stuck in customs the following week and my laptop has been sent to a different store. As a student preparing for my final exams next week I couldn't think of a worse experience. If id known it would take this long there is no way I would have left my laptop with techstar as the lack of honesty I've received from their staff members has had a horrible impact on my college work. If there was some sort of indication a screen repair might take 5+ weeks to complete i would've assumed they'd feel the need to update their customers but for techstar they have no hassle lying to and delaying customers. Even if I have a simple issue in the future I will refrain from using techstar ever again

Sent in my iPad because I could not…

Sent in my iPad because I could not charge it they had it for 6 weeks and kept telling me they were waiting for someone to fix it eventually I gave up and took it back but when I got it back the thumb bottom was changed to a cheaper button and my battery was changed as well very angry and disappointed

Excellent Customer Service at TechStar, efficient and effective

Damaged laptop screen required a review and replacement. Received comprehensive customer service from Jonathan (Store Mngr.) who explained in detail the assessment process and the expected return date. Within 30mins of delivering the laptop for free screen assessment, I received a 'phone call from Davor (excellent Repair Technician) who explained the damage, cost of repair and proposed date of collection. Within 24hrs., I received another 'phone call from Davor that my laptop was repaired, fully operational and ready for collection. Top laptop repair experience from TechStar, a very competent Company and one that I'm very happy to have found, sure to recommend to friends and to use if/when required in future. Thanks again to Davor and Jonathan.

Ordered the wrong phone case online

Ordered the wrong phone case online, got a collection arranged for the return and sent out a new one with no fuss. Really quick delivery both times.

The first case came in way too much packaging but the second one was reasonable, assume the first came from a supplier or something.

Appalling Service - very disappointed

I brought my laptop to Techstar Jetland Limerick over two weeks ago and paid €65 for an 'express' diagnostic service. The person I spoke to gave the impression that my laptop issue was battery related and could easily be resolved within a matter of days. I needed the laptop back asap as I was starting a new job. I tried calling the shop several times - no answer - and emailed for updates to which I received no reply. Had to actually call into the store today to ask about it only to be told that it hadn't even been touched. I took my laptop and left and am now back to Square 1. Avoid !! Unless you like throwing money down the drain.
