An altogether unhappy experience
I was excited to get a Texas Roadhouse so close. I decided to go up and grab a pulled pork sandwich with steak fries. Pick up time was 1:07, I got there at 1:05. Everything was cold. I thought they had forgotten the fries: then I realized that what I had mistaken for a wax paper wrapped roll were the fries. They were cold and squished like Play-Doh. They have a weird taste like cheap taco seasoning. The sauce is bottled & tastes heavily of liquid smoke. The meat is tasteless: no smoke no tang kind of like a frozen barbecue sandwich you put in the microwave. I decided to salvage the rolls, which have a weird almost perfume like synthetic honey taste. I am not a fussy eater but that was an inedible meal and $15 plus tip is a lot to have to throw the entire dinner out. It was badly prepared, badly served and badly cooked with poor ingredients.

The experience did not start off well. I called ahead to join the waitlist even though the lady on the phone said there was no wait. When I arrived they said the wait was 15 -45 minutes. It turned out not be that long. Wile standing in the line, the young lady went to the white lady behind us with 4 people and asked her if she was Sandra party of 2? My husband said no we are. She did not apologize only asked if we want to select our cut of meat which I did not since I was upset from the wait and then her treatment . After a while Adrianna (Addy) came to take our drink order...at that time we knew what we wanted to eat and drink. She apologized for our wait for service and she was soo super nice. I told my husband if it were not for her, I would NEVER come back to Texas Roadhouse EVER. The steaks came and they were awesome!!! Super tender and seasoned just right. I told her to please give the chef our compliments. Because of those 2 factors I will be going back to Independence Blvd. location again very soon and ask for Addy specifically.

Steak had no flavor. Just tasted like meat. The ceasar salad was like rabbit food. Not any leafy green salad in it. Seems to be getting worse instead of better with time. Went when it first opened several times and it was always good seasoned and cooked steak, always cold if seating close to doorway. Need to have glass to keep cold air from seating section. For what u pay for ur meal they need to step up their game. Some of the waitresses need to learn communication skills and attitude when talking to customers.
Outstanding Service
We chose to eat at the Texas Roadhouse at 1150 Blackwood Ave in Ocoee Fl. 34761
Our waiter, Bracus, was excellent. His attention to details, service and queries throughout the meal experience were executed with precision. We both agreed Bracus was the best server we have experienced to date and we eat out a lot. Other servers would do well to follow his example.
The tasty food was served timely and meticulously. It was truly VIP service.

Usually we really enjoy going to the Texas Roadhouse. The atmosphere and food are usually very good. We go to the one located at Butler mall, Butler Pa. Yesterday we had a very long wait, but we figured it's worth it. However we have never had such an awful experience as it turned out. Everything about our orders were wrong. The waitress did not ask if I wanted lemon in my soda water and gave it to me with lemon. It got sent back. My husband's & my steaks were medium rare instead of medium. His steak was covered in onions instead of no onions & just mushrooms. Our son's country fried steak was burned with the breading poofed up away from the meat and blackened. Also the lady forgot my husband's green beans & had to be reminded. It was just one thing after another. We had waited so long & were hungry. We were sadly disappointed. The manager did take some money off of our bill without hassle. I think there should have been more compensation for such an array of mistakes. I sure hope they will be back to normal in the future.
Absolutely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
On Friday the 13th the Hostess at the restaurant tried to sit us in the back of the restaurant at a table for 2 in a very tight and confined space. We turned it down, and was seated at a booth. They then seated an elderly couple where one was on a walker in the exact place we turned down. They struggled WITH NO consideration given their special needs. This was very POOR and sucked. We will never be back and I will tell anyone who will listen to STAY AWAY. BAD BAD BAD!
Happy Hour
Well, the one in Orange Park, FL, who HAD a great happy hour, abruptly stopped it effective 2/1/26. Do you think they bothered to tell you that? Or put it in their menu as an insert, or advertise it in any way? Hell no. When I asked about if it happy hour was almost over, I was told we don't do that anymore. What a disappointment. Maybe I wouldn't have ordered do many drinks if I knew I was paying full price for them. And I am sure that I am not alone in this blog.
Wedding anniversary ruined
My husband and I chose Texas Roadhouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary on January 17, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had.
When we arrived, we were told, “Name please? Gotcha, we’ll call you when your table is ready.” Over an hour later, my husband went to check on our wait time. The hostess responded, “Oh damn, my bad, sorry,” and only then said we would be seated next.
While waiting—standing less than three feet away—we overheard another staff member look at a ticket, laugh with a coworker, and say, “That name sucks,” before shouting our last name across the crowded restaurant. This was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing.
We were then taken to a table that had not been cleared—dirty plates, food, and mess from previous guests still present. After being told “sorry,” we were asked to stand awkwardly in the middle of other diners while it was cleaned. Even after being reseated, the table was sticky and covered in crumbs.
We ordered an onion appetizer along with steak and shrimp. The appetizer never arrived, but the steaks did. When we asked about it, our server said, “Oh… should I take that off your bill?” — yes, obviously.
The steaks were cold, and my husband’s meal was missing the onions and mushrooms. By the time they arrived, we had already pushed our nearly untouched plates away. My husband felt sick and just wanted to leave.
No one checked on us. Our server would not even make eye contact, despite seeing that we hadn’t eaten. A mandatory tip was already included, and we paid $97 for what was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner.
We are not seeking compensation or an invitation to return. However, the mocking behavior, poor service, lack of basic cleanliness, and complete disregard for guests was unacceptable. Being busy is not an excuse for incompetence, poor management, or disrespect.
This experience was embarrassing—for us, and frankly, for the restaurant.
Terrible waiting time
Terrible waiting time. You guys are liars! 35 to 45 minute wait? Nope! It was over an hour outside in the hot wheather. Dont trust their estimated waiting time!
Dinner for One
Dinner for One, Was asked if i wanted to sit at the bar, Said no cause of the noise effect on hearing assist aids.
Was placed at a table in the bar area, When i ask not to be seated at the bar was told that technically i wasn’t at the bar.
Food order was missing parts and when i asked the waitress was condescending about how it wasn’t really her fault and talks to me like i was a little kid. i’m 65. Just asked for boxes for food & paid my bill.
Left boxes at front counter where the issue began and told them to give it to the cooks cause it wasn’t my order it was theirs.
Won’t ever this place again.
First visit to TXRH in 2026 - A Sh** Show
First visit to TXRH in 2026! I started going to this restaurant when they opened a franchise near me in IL before the pandemic. This was the worst service experience ever. We waitlisted when we left our house and app said 10-20 minutes which was actually 50 minutes for seating. Once seated the problems started with the drink order. I received sweet tea in place of unsweetened tea. We never received plates, napkins/utensils with the bread. The waiter eventually took our order. Thirty minutes later he apologized that he forgot to put the order in. He then brought my salad and again no silverware, I had to ask for it. He brought plates with the napkins/silverware we did not need at that point. There were lulls where our waiter should have come back to the table but was nowhere to be found. My steak order shows up and I have a regular potato in place of sweet potato. I inform the person who delivered the food who then had to find the waiter which took another five minutes. I ask for a manager at this point and someone eventually shows up. I explain the issues we encountered since we walked in and that the visit was a complete sh** show. We wait for the bill which took longer than expected and the manager did not offer any money off for the service issues. We noticed a party of five was seated well after us and had already left the restaurant while we were waiting for my proper order....took 2.5 hours from seating to exit of restaurant. During the wait for the bill we noticed the busboys were late cleaning up other tables next to us and they were already bringing new guests to the tables while they were cleaning! One with an infant in a car seat carrier thingy! TXRH used to care and have managers walking around addressing these situations and expediting where necessary. Things have gone down hill sadly.....turning into Buffalo Wild Wings

Steak bone in rib eye not what the ones on display look like mine was about a 1/4 inch thick not the 1 inch or a little better that are on display, I get one about 2 times a month each time they have got smaller and not much taste other than real salty I have been a loyal customer there for 4 years eating there monthly but lately I have been very disappointed in the bone in ribeye so I tried the t bone it was even more disappointing Christmas I bought 200.00 in gift cards for friends and family regretting it now

Order ribeye steak and two sides and he first steak was the size of a piece of lunch meat and was sent back and the second steak was a hair thicker and was also sent back. My family has eaten here many times I we never seen anything like this. My wife’s steak was roadhouse normal. The carrots were raw and you couldn’t stick a fork in the for the whole table.
Horrendous Management at Manchester CT
The manager Alexis at the Manchester CT location is horrendous. She refused to replace my dish and was condescending and disrespectful when talking to me. The owner doesn’t care about my complaint and kept ignoring my request for a call back.

4435 south peak location in Roanoke area - lunch was disappointing. Told the mgr dry steak, salmon, and burger. No gc to compensate and just a defensive comment that nobody else has complained. This is our first bad experience at a Texas Roadhouse - usually really good at other locations. I wouldn’t go back there.
Poor service server did not order my steak as requested
I had requested a friendly server stating I tip very well. I was told they are all friendly. We did not receive a friendly server. She was distracted. She ordered my steak medium when I had clearly ordered a medium rare ribeye. Nahdeen needs to listen to her customers. I had taken family out for a meal. I was so disappointed.
