The Hearing Care Partnership - Stafford Avis 4

I have suffered from excessive ear wax since I was in my teens. I seem to make more wax each year than a Yanky Candle or Madame Tussaud's wax factory!

I used to attend the GP Practice to have them syringed but they stopped this and we now have to pay. I have used Specsavers in the past, which was awful, an old guy in a hard hat with a torch on the end firking away with a suction tube, it actually caused pain, then Boots with a girl who looked like she had just come out of High School and had taken a short course in ear wax removal. I've also paid for countless others which were all as dodgy.

However, after Googling local Hearing Clinics I was fortunate enough to find the brilliant professional Audiologist that is Sarkhab Azhar and I saw him at Mincher Lockett in Stafford, who have always had a good reputation locally anyway.

I felt safe with Sarkhab from the moment I met him, a smart/well presented, pleasant and thoughtful guy with an evident vast amount of experience in all things audiology and he is very thorough.

He chose to use the syringe method and did a superb job of getting my hearing back again. I always have a fear that it will go wrong or my drum will burst or something, but not with him as he clearly knew exactly what he was doing.

Obviously I had softened each ear with two week's worth of Oliver Oil prior to the removal which is vital.

Sarkhab also gave me a hearing test and I knew that my right ear was struggling a bit and he recommended an aid, at this point in my life I'm not going for it, but I would most definitely trust his recommendations if I chose to.

So, I have found my go to Audiologist for life hopefully and I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone.
