Tim is a great mentor and gives his 200, if not 300% in order to really make his mentees reach their ultimate goal. He's always trying to bring new resources, new learing material, new opportunities to the table and you can really tell he does this because he REALLY wants you to make it in the industry.

He's not focused on making money from this, but he's really focused on giving you real, simple, comprehensible advice on how to grow as a professional, and his attitude is like the one of a friend.

The fact that the mentorship has limited spots further proves how much value you can get out of this, as he does this in order to make sure that he has sufficient time to dedicate to his mentees

I was feeling lost and overwhelmed, not knowing what the heck to do with thousands of possible directions to go to .. but Tim (even with the first video) showed me where I was wrong and where to confidently head without hopping from a random tutorial to another ...
I am currently crafting my portfolio with the help of his free course and will apply for the mentorship when my works are ready for junior level!

I have watched tons of tutorials and have taken a lot of courses, but none of them had such a huge impact on me as it was at ArtNest. My life has been divided into before and after. Tim has developed a truly unique course that focuses on structuring and understanding what needs to be done to get a job in the industry. Before, I was way too worried about technique and skills. I would've spent another couple of years trying to perfect my portfolio for nothing if I had not met Tim. The mentorship classes are sometimes rough, and could have some pills that are hard to swallow, but that may be some of the most important stuff to learn. Tim is one of the best mentors I have had, and you can immediately hear his passion in his teachings, from all the informative and useful tips, to motivating speeches.
But still, the progress that is made is mostly on you. If you decide to push your limits, learn and strive to get better, you won’t even realize how fast you can tighten the gap between your work and work of the people you admire. Before mentoring with Tim, becoming a Concept Artist seemed like a dream more than a possibility. I wanted to change careers and pursue my dream job but I had no idea where to even start. My experience with the mentorship has been exceptionally positive. The main goal in this mentorship is on fostering critical thinking and autonomy for becoming a self-sufficient artist. My experience with this mentorship has surpassed what I expected, aside from growing technical skills, I’ve learned so much about a way of creating a path to achieve my goals as an artist for video games and films. With so many resources shared from Tim, I now have knowledge on the business side of art and what advantages could an artist have in order to be competitive. Even with the mentorship concluded, I just keep growing within The Art Nest community. ...It’s more than a mentorship.

During this mentorship, you'll be confronted to your limits, and it's not gonna be pleasant. However, you are going to make progress.

Tim gives you guidelines to follow to analyze and improve your skills, but doesn't spoon-feed your work. I went to a very good Art school, but I didn't get what Tim gives you. If you are a self-taught, it's worth it.

Be careful though, mentorship requires solid foundations in academic artistic fundamentals and Tim will not always explain basics. The purpose of the mentorship is to give you the bridge to the industry.

The amount of progress I made is really amazing. A lot of the mentorship is making sure that you're pointed in the right direction. I had been practicing with lessons that were almost purely technical and had felt very lost. It's not just about doing the right things but also stopping yourself from doing the wrong things that waste time and effort. There were big spans of time we didn't draw during the mentorship, but when we did draw I instantly saw great improvement in my art. For anybody feeling lost it really can be as simple as having a professional bring that level of clarity. Tim was also incredibly easy to talk to, discussing not just the technical aspects but the industry aspects in a way that was very approachable. When you take the mentorship, be patient and trust the work being given even when is isn't strictly drawing work and it will improve your art for sure, it's all relevant. I 100% recommend this mentorship.
