Almost two months to get it!!

Placed an order on July 6th and did not received the order until August 22nd. Really! Nothing from customer service apologizing for the delay. I even wrote to them and they never replied. You may find a few deals, but don't expect to have them for almost two months later.

Old Fitzgerald 9 year decanter

I have ordered from Barrel Tap a few times. My last order was packaged with extreme care. Although I kinda agree with other people chatting about shipping, I live in Ohio and it obviously takes a hot minute to get here from California. I recommend this company to all that’s into bourbon.

paid 255 with next day air took 6 days to get it!

Ordered a bottle of premium Mezcal July 5th a Saturday. I knew it would not get processed till Monday paid next day air figuring to get it Tuesday or Wednesday at worst. Total cost 231.55 96 dollars was next day air. It showed up on Friday, they do not carry things in stock my bottle came from a different company! don't waste your time reply to emails were vague and did not care they got their money!

Run Away from this Mistake!

Terrible customer service and the worst experience with online gift cards I've ever been subjected to. Tried to get my boss a giftcard for $200 and even gave them a $20 tip! Many people on my team contributed. Called them to address not receiving the GC, and was accused of fraud! Unreal. Funds out of my bank but still no giftcard in sight. Spoke with Aiden on the phone but they were not at all helpful.

Excellent experience! I will be back...

I placed a large order for a dozen bottles of bourbon as a retirement gift and only had an issue with the payment backbone for the site (Shop/Shopify) picking up an incorrect address, which was not the fault of The Bottle Tap. The problem was very quickly sorted out using the chat system on the site, which a live person monitors. Both boxes were processed and shipped on the day that was promised, and each was delivered on the day that was promised. The boxes were well packed, and there were no issues with all 12 bottles arriving undamaged. I will use them again for personal orders for hard-to-find bottles. My only suggestion is to take the negative reviews lightly and consider most are only willing to complain and not comment when the service is excellent.

I ordered a Stranahan's mountain angel 12 year

I ordered a Stranahan's mountain angel 12 year and it showed up in less than 10 days. The packaging was in good shape and the actual bottle and presentation canister were in good shape. All in all this is an outstanding purchase and the customer service is great. The tracking was from start to finish and I am very pleased!

I just got my order and I was nervous…

I just got my order and I was nervous after checking this site for reviews. I received texts, emails, shipping info, and the package was packed beautifully! I bought a bottle of Blanton's for my husband because he was promoted at work at a place that ships products out and I'm excited to give him his "Congratulations" gift and show him the packaging. I would 100% recommend this place. The only downside was paying $155 for something that typically costs $90 at our small-town liquor store (they didn't have any in stock).

Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else

I read all the reviews and saw that there all bad but decided to give this company a try so I sent them an email seeing if I would get a reply back to my surprise I did. I asked how long does it take for you to ship out your items once I place a order they insured me it takes 3 days to ship out an order once placed..so I made my order and a month went by I've also been messaging them multiple times asking where's my package so I'm always the one reaching out come to find out an item from my list was no longer in stock that's why I was taking so long and nobody bothered to reach out to me and tell me this So then they ask can we replace it with something else..so then I gave them something to replace it with I also asked when I might receive tracking and they said once the items got sent back to them meaning they sent out my order uncompleted that's crazy to me just wow... then I waited another 3 weeks didn't hear anything back yet again I'm the one who had to reach out they said I had balance that was due I was never sent an invoice and thought they were just going to accommodate me since it's been so long and I had to go to the struggle but they didn't I canceled my whole order I'm never doing business with them ever again It's not worth it the weight time almost 2 months I don't even want it anymore.. trust me save yourself the headache and go somewhere else period

Do not buy from these guys

Do not buy from these guys! I tried to buy an expensive tequila bottle for a rush birthday gift. They refused to honor a free shipping coupon code- even after their website processed the transaction and my receipt showed free shipping. I contacted them prior to the bottle being shipped and they refused to refund me and instead forced the transaction to process and shipped the item late. Bottle didn’t arrive in time for the party. They wouldn’t accept a return. Go with someone more reputable. I’ll never transact with them again.

I ordered 2 bottle of Salted Carmel…

I ordered 2 bottle of Salted Carmel Crown Royal on Monday Dec.16th 2024 and got my order on Friday Dec. 20th. It was packaged great and they sent emails letting me know when it was shipped and when it would arrive. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Placed order on 12/10, it's now 12/20 and Shop says it's Yet to be Fulfilled. Like every one else here, no customer service, no replies to daily emails, just terrible. If you're reading this and thinking of ordering, go elsewhere. Save yourself the misery before it's too late.

Suppose to be a gift

Since this seems to be the only way to get a response. I am beyond frustrated with this company. My order is suppose to be a gift and j leave the 20th and don’t have a way to get it to the person once I leave. I paid $25 to ship a $40 item thinking it would actually arrive. It shows it’s been parked for like a week. The order is 93977 and have gotten zero response trying to email. Why charge people stupid amounts of money to ship when it sits parked at a facility indefinitely. Beyond frustrating.

Barrel Tap customer service is nonexistant

12/04/2024 Ordered online Fireball Keg. Waited for confirmation it had been shipped out. No confirmation as of today 12/10. have attempted to utilize the chat option -- 4 times (no response), Called 3x's in 4 days (voicemail) and no callback, and sent 2 emails (no response) Please do NOT buy from here, The only thing I am confident on is I will not be getting my money refunded as there apparently no one working at this company to inquire about it.

I wish I had come to this website…

I wish I had come to this website before ordering from The Barrel Tap. I ordered a week ago, have sent emails requesting a status with no responses. I called and the message went straight to music and then requested that I leave a message. Nothing that identified that my call had actually reached The Barrel Tap. Is this a legitimate business and they are just extremely slow and lack greatly in customer service? Or is this place a total scam? At this point, I guess I am at their mercy to find out. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!

UPDATE - Since writing this review I received a call from a very nice and professional representative of the store who explained the delay and made my order right and shipped out IMMEDIATELY. I have changed my review to 5 stars and I DO RECOMMEND

Very frustrating trying to get my order…

Very frustrating trying to get my order your ups shipping is a joke i hv been trying to get my package for days already why was it ready for pick up and they said that you the sells marked it as return package??? And now it’s supposedly being sent to my address doesn’t make sense what the hell did I pay shipping for when your dictating where my package is going?!! I paid for it to be dropped off at the facility because it needs a signature so why the hell are you guys not allowing me to pick it up directly from ups?!!!!im 1000000% pissed off this is a 40th birthday gift that will probably won’t be here on time now because you guys can’t get your shipping together!!!!! I’ll never buy from this site again it’s a joke!!
