Our adventure to Greece was particularly amazing. Our tour director, James, had everything in hand and all was organized well. We enjoyed the close proximity of all of our lodgings (except Mykonos) to the attractions we so wanted to see. Staying several nights in each location was key to our enjoyment. Our local guide Myrto, on the mainland was fabulous, as she was extremely knowledgeable and cared for our group in terms of pace. The activities scheduled were varied and fun, from snorkeling to food preparation and everything in between. We enjoyed learning about the Greek culture and history on this fantastic adventure. We have travelled with Big Journey three times now: Norway, Scotland and most recently Ireland.
Each time we see the value of trusting our trip to a company that is attentive to personal needs, fosters group unity, and has found a most wonderful array of places to visit, including historians and cultural experts to tell us about the places we go. The Ireland trip included seeing sheep in many pastures, ancient rock walls (using no mortar) castles, a fabulous visit to Atlantic Sheepdogs training and exhibit - even a falcon landing on my gloved hand! We visited pubs and enjoyed Irish music and discovered our bus driver was himself a musician! It was an excellent trip in every way!

We've just come back from an amazing 12 day tour of Costa Rica. We travelled from San Jose to the Caribbean and to the Pacific, passing through different types of rainforest with amazing wildlife and sights. Highlights include the Tortuguero Canals, Penas Blancas river safari, the hanging bridges and breathtaking volcano views in Arenal. Experiencing traditional Costa Rican hospitality. Accommodation lodges were very comfortable and great bases for exploring and viewing wildlife.
Our tour guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable and helpful in all things. Lottie, our tour director kept us organized with humor and quizzes on the bus. Douglas, our driver, got us everywhere safely and on time.
We would highly recommend this tour as it provides an insight into the bio diversity of Costa Rica, as well as learning about the culture. There is so much to see and do.

We recently went to South Africa and Victoria Falls. What a wonderful trip! Our guide, Johan, had everything planned and executed like clockwork! He was so well versed in everything we saw. He knew about all of the history, areas we visited, animals and even the native plants. We loved it so much, we are wanting to go back. As usual, Big Journey delivered fine dining, great excursions and lovely accommodations. We especially loved Little Africa and the Victoria Falls Hotel. We had a great small group to travel with and met some new friends that we hope to see again on a Big Journey adventure.

Having never been to Norway before, this trip with the Big Journey Company was an amazing experience! From dog sledging and ice bars to snowmobiling, every moment felt like an adventure—not to mention the thrill of chasing the Northern Lights!
