The Coders Guild is a UK-based digital skills training provider helping growing businesses build AI and digital capability in their own teams. We deliver training and apprenticeships nationally, with roots in Leeds and London and a strong presence across Yorkshire and the North. We deliver government-funded apprenticeships and training in AI & Automation, Data, Software Development, Testing and Product. Most of our programmes are funded through the Growth and Skills Levy, and many businesses don't realise this funding exists or that they're already paying into it. Part of our job is helping them use it. AI and Automation is our specialism. We led the R&D to create the UK's first Level 4 AI and Automation apprenticeship standard, working with Skills England and the Alan Turing Institute, and the first cohorts are running now. That research, commissioned by Innovate UK, involved interviewing dozens of growing businesses about how AI adoption actually plays out on the ground. So what we teach comes from real workplaces, not theory. Our philosophy is people first, then process, then tools. AI adoption fails when businesses buy the technology before building the capability around it. A licence for an AI tool doesn't change how a business works - people do, once they understand the process the tool is meant to improve. Our training is built around that order: learners work on real business challenges from day one, applying what they learn directly to their roles, so employers see practical results during the programme rather than waiting until the end. Every programme is designed and delivered by people who work in the industry. Our trainers are practitioners first, which means the content stays current with how fast the tools and the work actually change, and learners are taught by people who have done the job rather than read about it. We update our training continually, and we met and exceeded expectations in our most recent Ofsted inspection under the new framework. Alongside apprenticeships, we run free fortnightly webinars on practical AI adoption for business teams, covering tools like Claude and the real-world process of getting a team to actually use them. Each session is built around something we genuinely do ourselves, not a product demo. We also deliver short courses and bespoke AI training for leadership teams and whole organisations, for businesses that want to build capability outside the apprenticeship route. We work with businesses of all shapes, from 20-person teams making their first technical hires to 300-person companies building specialist capability, across sectors including professional services, manufacturing, fintech and retail. Whatever the sector, the pattern is usually the same: the business is growing, the digital demands are growing faster, and hiring alone can't close the gap. Building capability internally can. For learners, our programmes offer a practical route into tech careers and a way to grow in the role they already have. We support apprentices with individual learning plans, regular coaching, and a community of peers learning alongside them. Our approach favours doing over lecturing: group sessions are built around real problems, and progress is measured by what learners can apply at work, not what they can recite in a classroom. Underneath all of it is a simple belief: talent is everywhere but opportunity isn't. We hire and train for potential, opening routes into tech careers for people traditional education overlooks - career changers, people without degrees, people from backgrounds underrepresented in tech. That's good for social mobility and good for the businesses who train them. For over a decade that's been the point of The Coders Guild: business success and social opportunity aren't in competition, they're the same thing. Find out more at thecodersguild.org.uk

Excellent course :)

I recently completed the Project Management Efficiency with AI & Digital Tools Skills Boot Camp, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The course was very well structured, highly relevant, and packed with practical, up‑to‑date content. Sessions were interactive and participation‑focused, which made the learning engaging and enjoyable.
The teaching team brought vast, real‑world expertise and were always ready to answer questions. Communication was outstanding — the tutors were approachable, easy to contact, and consistently responsive, which made a huge difference. Course materials were high quality, clearly prepared, shared on time, and easy to follow.
The atmosphere was friendly and supportive, both from the tutors and the group itself. I also appreciated that the classes took place in the evenings, making it easy to fit around full‑time work.
Overall, this was a genuinely valuable and well-delivered course that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to strengthen their project management skills with modern digital tools and AI.

Project Manager - 16 Sessions - Very Good

The course and content was very good and very comprehensive. I was toying with my review because having been on the periphery of project management in IT I actually knew a fair bit of what was covered. But I feel that would have been unfair on the course and content. Having said that I have learnt stuff along the way and also had what I did know re-enforced.

Certainly as an introduction for someone who has never done Project Management before it is very good. The trainers were knowledgeable, the collaboration and exercises were well thought out, although some felt a little rushed. The tools used as part of the course and the 'breakouts' were also good and I have even started using some in my personal and professional life.

Overall a well balance course with good content.
If I was being picky the start time of 6pm didn't always fit with peoples lives especially those with families or commutes.

It wasn't a problem for me because my commute is 20ft (work from home) , but I felt it was for others and it would have been a show stopper for me had I been working in the office.

Another thing was the last 3 weeks were two sessions per week and I found that quite brutal and heavy going on top of a full days work and life in general.
I don't know if this was a feature of all the course iterations or just ours, Ours was interrupted by xmas so it wasn't clear if that meant they had to squeeze the 16 weeks into a shorter period or whether the final stages are crammed for all iterations.
So be aware.

Overall a very good, comprehensive into to Project Management, with additional transferable skills training and tool usage on top. Very satisfied.

Course was 16 sessions - 22/10 - 28/1

Best thing I did for my career

This was easily the best thing I've done for my career in years. I learned so much, and met so many great women. It gave me confidence in my own abilities, as well as practice in new skills and ideas. The mix of online and in-person activities was also wonderful, and I've even gotten a new job as a result of this course!
