The Foul Players Avis 

Following our second Murder Mystery event with Burtie and The Foul Players, we had an excellent evening, and received great feedback from all guests. Very much looking forward to the next sold out event! -Abbeygate Cinema.

Really enjoyable evening with The Foul Players, who played their respective characters in the murder mystery evening so well. It was a bonus that we managed to identity the correct murderer. Would recommend for a fun evening out.

Everything went perfectly. The actors were amazing and got everyone involved even though there were 85 of us. Several guests told me it was the best party they had ever been to.

What a fantastic night full of mystery, laughter and a what a great group of actors! We used the Foul Players for entertainment on a corporate evening. They certainly livened up the event! A huge thank you to Burtie and the Foul Players for providing such a memorable evening. It really broke the ice from the start with the actors mingling at the meet and greet, which really engaged with guests and got them involved from the outset. The acting skills and creative costumes really brought the night to life with a plot especially written by Burtie to suit the event. This really was a night to remember - for all of the right reasons! I would definitely recommend them if you want your guests to enjoy a fantastic, fun night out!

Our night with the Foul Players was quite uproarious! At dirst we were taken by surprise by the playets themselves dressed in their period costumes and we were nervous to engage but by the end of the evening we were hooked! There was never any chance we would solve the mystery but it didn't matter. We had started the evening rather jaded by a week of work and we left uplifted thanks to the Foul Players!

The Foulplayers are brilliant, great plot line, funny side lines. Will definitely book another.

Burtie & The Foul Players team have performed 7 Murder Mystery evenings for us so far and each and everyone has been sold out. So many guests return time and time again as each story is fantastic and all the actors immerse themselves into their roles completely, making for a hilarious evening. We would 100% recommend The Foul Players for a great evenings entertainment. We look forward to seeing them twice more this year alone.

Fantastic night from Burtie and all of the actors! He wrote a specific script for our Austin Powers evening and in went down an absolute treat, This is the second time we have used The Foul Players now and will be continuing to use them in the future.

We came to The Lion at Thurn Murder Mystery The Roar on the 18th October 2025 the Murder mystery was such fun all the actors were fantastic we never been to one before so it was our first time and it was perfect way to celebrate my Birthday So thank you all so much for making my birthday exciting & fun we are very much looking forward to seeing you all again soon❤️

The Murder Mystery evening which The Foul Players put on for us at our boarding school was outstanding! The girls who ranged from aged 11 to 18 adored the evening and staff joined in and greatly enjoyed it too!

I have been to two Murder Mystery evenings with the Foul Players now, both thoroughly enjoyable. You get to have a three course meal, you meet some very interesting and in some cases quite murderous people and have great fun trying to work out whodunnit!

We have been 2 evenings at Park Farm Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both evenings. The players played their part exceptionally and gave a great performance. After the 1st evening it gave us a great insight on how to play the game and what to expect. It was great to interact with the table, which you would not normally do, if you were going out for the evening. We enjoyed it so much we are booking their next performance in October and taking friends and family with us. Perhaps we might even dress up this time!!

We went to Addams family at the Guinness arms. Actors were great with how they interacted with us and wove us into the storyline. The whole dining area became the stage and us the players. We had a blast and really enjoyed the experience. Bravo to the actors! Definitely give it a try you’ll have a great time

I have been to 2 Murder mystery evenings and both have been great fun. We went with several friends, got dressed up and had a nice meal whilst trying to solve the murders. It's great being able to interact with the actors, asking questions and playing detective. Unfortunately we all got it wrong both times but that didn't matter, having a good time is the main thing 😁

We had an amazing evening for our wedding anniversary at The Maids Head in Norwich. All of the team were fantastic and played their characters exceptionally well to make it an evening to remember and of course the meal was great too. We got the murderer correct but unfortunately not for the right reasons, a good excuse for us to try again !!

My friends and family had a great night attending a murder mystery evening at Barnham Broom hosted by The Foul Players.
The storyline kept us guessing and the actors were amazing, Burtie and his team did a great job and I am looking forward to booking on the next one.

We started doing Murder Mystery evenings with the team at Foul Players last year and each event has been a sell out with many returning back as soon as we advertise a new date! We get so many glowing reviews about the event and how brilliantly the actors integrated with the customers and really made the time for them to question them individually.
Burtie and Sheila are fantastic and so helpful when organising the events. They, and all of the actors at Foul Players, are a pleasure to welcome.
We look forward to many more event collaborations with them.

BRILLIANT! We've used these wonderful actors twice at our glamping site and both times it's been an absolute pleasure and such a hit!!

Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for in our experience - bespoke storylines for your venue, high quality actors and, above all, reliability and punctuality! Burtie is a lovely man, a real gentleman and goes above and beyond to ensure the event runs without a hitch and that all the guests love the experience!

We are hoping to do more with them in the future! Keep up the good work!
