Easy to park as has two carparks. Clean and tidy. Welcoming staff. Freshly decorated. Freshly cooked food that tastes great. A good wine selection. Very fair pricing considering the quality of food. There is also a newly opened bar at the back that has a contemporary, fun vibe that does snacks and bites! Dogs are welcome in the bar, which is a great thing for clent hill walkers. A real gem!!

So so disappointed. Four of us went for a Sunday meal today and found the food very average but expected something far better.
2 people had Pork Belly which we felt was undercooked and told the waitress who said she would inform the chef. No response.
The third person had beef who stated that the beef whilst being pink was a little chewy but managed to get through it. The fourth meal was chicken and was fine.
Overall did not think it was good value and far better available in the area, such as The Wharf Stourbridge.
We had so wished for the meal to have been better was it an off day, only The Fountain will know.
I tried to write this review on their own website so they got it direct. We are not in favour of scolding the young staff serving but we could have been seen by the chef or higher management.

Turned up on spec at the Fountain pub part way round a walk, no booking made, staff were very accommodating and friendly, toilets were spotlessly clean always a good sign, the food was excellent and well worth the money, I highly recommend this pub nestled within the Clent Hills 😊👍

No attentive service despite being quiet

This was our very first trip out for a meal since the lockdown...and wow! It was fantastic. We were able to sit outside under the new marquee area which was just perfect and the tables were well separated for social distancing. Staff all wore masks (shame wasn’t face shields so we could see faces) but their welcome was just as warm and as friendly as ever. A big hit was the small hamper which contained cutlery, wrapped in napkins, condiments, glasses, a candle and small bottle of hand sanitiser. An absolutely brilliant idea and superb way of showing how seriously they were taking the hygiene related to Covid. We have been to the Fountain before for a meal and knew the standard was high but in view of all of the regulations relating to Covid they were outstanding and have not allowed any of this to affect their high standard of service, food and drink. Thank you to the team. So if you’re feeling a little apprehensive about venturing out...head to the Fountain. It’s the best safe dining experience ever!
