I’ve had a very similar experience to…

I’ve had a very similar experience to others here.

We purchased a car from them last month and reported issues within 3 days of driving it away. We contacted George immediately to raise concerns, including discrepancies around the service history and missing parts that had been promised.

At the time, we were reassured that everything would be resolved. However, despite multiple follow-ups via calls, emails, and letter before notice, we’ve not received a response.

We are now in the process of pursuing this formally.

Has anyone had any success in resolving a claim or taking this further?

I have experienced exactly the same as…

I have experienced exactly the same as the people below .. we brought the car from George , and it broke down on day 1 I took it to a garage who said take it back there is no way this should have been sold like this , it’s not road worthy and dangerous… I contacted George , but Harry answered and advised that George would contact me. Which he never has , they wouldn’t reply to calls or emails. Now I’ve seen they have done a runner , is this correct..? Lewis is the company director and details are on companies house.. we have all been conned by these con artists… heavy lesson learned.. but if this company is trading then please stay well clear .!!!

Do not buy a car from this rip off…

Do not buy a car from this rip off company, they promise but do not deliver, Lewis lies and is full of sh-t, bought a car spent over £1000 in the first 2 months, warranty is rubbish not worth the paper it’s written on, totally felt let down, please do not fall into the trap I did

Bought my car back in february

Bought my car back in february, very happy and pleased with my new car and was very hopeful that the after car would be there if needed. Purchased my car with a 6 month warranty. Had a few small problems with my car and messaged and called george and the main phone but no replies, eventually got a few replies and was told he would speak to the garage on monday and fit me in. 2 months have gone by and got a bit suspicious, no one replying to my calls or messages, went to the site and saw that all cars have been removed and they have done a runner owning rent to the farm owner. Rung the warranty company to ask them about my warranty and george hadn’t even registered my car for my 6 month warranty. Pathetic behaviour from all of them, promising me that they would fix the small issues on my car but never did. Kind of pleased they have gone bankrupt so they don’t scam anyone else for there money. Absolute bastards! George and lewis should be ashamed of themselves, and hope they get what they deserve soon.

Car broke down after 4 days – no response from seller

Please do not buy your car from Highline. We bought a car from them and it broke down after just 4 days.

They asked us to send a garage report, which we did, but since then they have completely ignored us. We have been emailing, calling and texting with no response.

They told us not to believe the Google reviews and said they were fake, but unfortunately we are now experiencing the same issues ourselves.

Under the Consumer Rights Act, we are entitled to a refund within 30 days, but this has not been dealt with.

We have now been left with no choice but to take legal action.

Be careful with this seller.

We had an extremely distressing…

We had an extremely distressing experience with this dealership. After purchasing a car for over £10,000, the vehicle broke down on our journey home. The dealership later collected the car, stating it would be repaired.

Despite repeated assurances over many months that the car would be delivered back to us, it has never been returned. We have since been informed by a local garage that the vehicle actually broke down again while supposedly being delivered and has been abandoned outside their premises.

The dealership is now ignoring all calls and messages. We have paid in full for a vehicle that has neither been delivered nor repaired, leaving us with no option but to pursue legal action.

Based on our experience, we strongly advise others to exercise caution before dealing with this business.

Selling Dangerous Cars

We were sold a car that after less than a month and being driven no further than 20 miles at best whilst in our possession, went from not generating any heating, to a suspected coolant leak, to a complete braking system failure. In fact, we drove the car less than they did when they drove 50 miles delivering it to us – why they didn’t put the vehicle on a trailer or transporter, I don’t know. We had an independent inspection done on the vehicle, which revealed several alarming issues such as previous repairs performed using cable ties, which were either not flagged on their inspection, or they actively knew about when they sold us the vehicle. The vehicle was deemed too dangerous to drive, so we were forced to keep it off-road – despite their ludicrous claims that the vehicle was still being driven in this state. They rejected our right to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act, despite being within the 30 days and never agreeing for any repairs to be performed – they even told us that the repairs may not be covered under the warranty. They refused to take the vehicle back. The vehicle was seen by two separate garages – one stating there was no coolant in the vehicle and suspected a leak, hence why the heating system wasn’t working, and the other garage performed the full independent inspection. All we received from Highline were excuses, lies and a complete denial of any faults even though the independent inspection was at their request. All I will say is thank God that my mother was not driving when the brakes failed. If you have any plans to purchase a vehicle from this company, I strongly advise against it.

Great experience

Great experience! We had visited a few dealerships looking for a new Golf GTI and found Highline to be way above anybody we had visited. The showroom looks great with the attention to detail to match on the vehicles they offer. We dealt with George throughout, he was great! Will be returning when time to upgrade to a new car!
