Inconsistent quality

Having made 3 purchases from the site and impressed with the quality I had no hesitation in placing another order for the Denim Polka Dot P..ssy Bow Top. My order was despatched the same day 2nd March and arrived the next day which impressed me .
However, the disappointment on opening the box was shocking. The top was the thinnest quality and not denim in texture or weight. So thin that it's impossible to see how the bow would tie as in the image as it's not stiff and has no structure. There are also loose threads indicating poor finish and lack of quality control. The label says mixed fibres and dry clean only ??!! not the standard I have been accustomed to. To charge £99 is ludicrous as the quality doesn't match the price. I've requested a refund , and hope I don't experience a delay as others have experienced. Very disappointed 😞

No returns or exchanges for sale items

Had a really disappointing experience buying items on sale. Only upon receipt was it made clear that sale items can not be returned. I would never have purchased had I known. It doesn’t make sense that a solely online retailer would be so restrictive. I have bought items in their sample sale and understand that logic when purchasing goods in person. Didn’t realise they offer poor consumer rights. Avoid if you wish to return sale items as they don’t accommodate exchanges or returns even though their clothes are on the high end. Very illogical, why would anyone risk purchasing things under those circumstances

3 week wait and IG DMs ignored still waiting

On my third week waiting for one coat. Emails are super slow to reply and IG messages are read and ignored. Tried to say the item I ordered at checkout mentioned there would be a three week delay and will be shipped on the 14th -after the third email I sent the response was a clear lie. If that was the case I would never of ordered. Got screenshots. You try to support their businesses but the customer service in every field is poor. You do feel you’re are bothering THEM/HER when asking for a status update. Their site says 3-5 days. It’s now day 12. I’ll give it till end of the week before filing a charge back with the bank as I’ve never experienced such bad service - poor. I wondered why so little traction and why it’s not more popular as the site looks to have a couple decent pieces but if this is what people are having to go through it makes sense. Told it’ll be shipped on 14th… lol nowhere did it say this at checkout . Still no tracking or any update. Won’t be supporting certain businesses anymore I’m done with the poor service. Sent a final email today let’s see if they even bother.

Final update:
Across email and Instagram, she’s now given multiple, conflicting explanations:
1. Email 1:
Pre-order, dispatch 14 December.
2. Email 2:
Still waiting for stock, hoping for “this week”.
3. Instagram DM:
Black Friday delays (excuse), 7–10 days processing (a new excuse) Texas coats won’t ship until Monday (22nd December - after ordering 27th November and NOWHERE did it say this at checkout or their site
4. Final outcome:
They cancel and refund without giving me the clear date I’ve been asking for or giving me the choice.

5. She gives you the date after cancelling your order after a three week delay

6. Turns on disappearing messages on IG 🤣 - not sus at all right?!

The inconsistency alone and dishonesty and hassle of having to wait so long.

The big contradiction 🚩

She claims:
• “We pride ourselves on fast shipping”
• But also:
• Didn’t clearly mark pre-order at checkout - I have a screenshot
• Missed the 14 December dispatch date
• Didn’t actually have stock
• Gave different timelines depending on the channel

And the line:

“to avoid further delays or charge back from you I think it’s best we refund you”

If you mention charge backs or anything she’ll cancel too. Despite saying “a date for delivery please if not I’ll request a charge back”

Had I of been given a date I wouldn’t need to of mentioned this as it would have been clear from the beginning however she is a dishonest individual. Will see if this refund actually turns up otherwise it’s straight to the bank I go. Wonder if this is a legit business… I try to support all businesses - black businesses too but I am done. It’s always terrible service.

As disappointing as it is, it does give us the opportunity to take stock, accountability and strive to do better.

Yes! You are right, we did not get your order out on time and have been slow with emails. It is not the experience we want our customers to have and is definately not our standard.

But we failed on this occasion not because we are "dishonest" but due to being overwhelmed with Black Friday and delivery delays. For this I sincerely apologies, as well as apologies for your overall experience with us.

You have been notified, your Black Friday sale order has been cancelled and 100% refunded.

So Sorry once again.

I purchased 3 Calais skirts form this…

I purchased 3 Calais skirts form this company. I returned them because they were too big. I has too call and ask where the 3rd skirt was when I only received 2. I also had to call over and over again to get my money back. Apparently, when I called Paypal, they decided that they would cancel all my orders after that, all because I reached out to Paypal. I tried to support a Black business and this is what I get. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

As much as I completely want to love…

As much as I completely want to love Sade and the Kemist I can’t. I’m running into my 3rd issue with them … something I order nearly 2 weeks ago still hasn’t been shipped and the attitude to asking where is this almost as though they are sending me something that is free and I should be grateful. Also I’m finding some items are just over priced they look good but the quality is not there always for what they charge
