Be careful/ask lots of questions
Huge red flags if you are a writer. They go on Amazon and look for independently published authors who have very few reviews/not much exposure. Then they will contact you promising more sales if you pay hundreds of dollars to publish or market your book with them. A real publisher will get their profits from a percentage of sales of your book. That's the motivation for them to market your book. Pay MapleStaple/Bookpress upfront and you will not hear from them again (unless they think they can get more money from you) Ask who the owner is, and they will refuse to answer. The "agent" who contacts you will have a generic sounding Anglo name but will have an accent. You would think they would be on LinkedIn, but they never have a social media presence. There are too many red flags to take them seriously as publishers/literary agents. Unfortunately, too many authors are desperate and this company preys on that desperation.
