The One Stop Money Shop was founded in 2002 and originally started as a credit broker for short term affordable loans. The business later transformed into an online money lender as it continues to operate today.
Based in Wakefield, Yorkshire, we are proud to our northern roots and to be serving the whole of the UK with a flexible, instalment loan product. Moving away from the traditional payday loan product, we are pleased to offer loans repaid over 6,9 and 12 months which give customers greater flexibility and breathing space to repay their loans.
The One Stop Money Shop is a fully authorised lender under the Financial Conduct Authority, registration number 713424.
As an authorised firm, we have demonstrated our commitment to provide safe and transparent financial products with our customers' best interests at heart.
We carry out a series of checks to ensure that customers can afford to repay our loans without falling into financial difficulty and being clear and transparent is part of the company culture and centre to everything we do.

Avoid… already had a loan approved and…
Avoid… already had a loan approved and paid back (cancelled). Decided I needed the loan after all so reapplied, provisionally accepted but then declined. Obviously not following a correct progress as my information is exactly the same when they accepted the loan first time. All unnecessary and wasting time.

We’re glad to hear your previous loan was successfully repaid. Loan approvals are based on a range of factors, and a recent repayment doesn’t automatically guarantee approval for a new application—especially if applied for shortly after settlement. We did waive additional cost to which you were happy about. Sorry we are unable to offer you further funds at this present time.

There are times when additional checks are carried out and applications fail at this stage. We did reply to your email explaining that all applications which get rejected receive a system generated decline email that my of fallen into your junk folder. I’m sorry to hear that your experience with your application wasn’t what you had hoped it to be.
